Objective The changes of cytokine expression on a genomic scale in CD4 + cell of mice c hronically infected with Schistosoma japonicum and their roles in the pathog enesis of schistosomiasis were studied. Methods CD4 + cells were isolated from sp le ens of mice 13 wk infected with Schistosoma japonicum. We used the cDNA micr oarr ay technique to explore the cytokine gene expression profile of CD4 + cells f ro m normal and chronic infected mice. Three-color flow cytometry was performed to study intracellular protein levels of IFN-?、IL-4 of CD4 + cell. Results In the CD4 + cell of chronically infected mice, IL-4 was remarkably increase d at both transcription and protein expression levels (P
4.Role of TRAIL in the treatment of prostate cancer: An update.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(10):941-944
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a member of the TNF super family found in recent years, which widely exists in the body tissues and participates in the immune regulation, immune stability, and immune surveillance of the human body. The TRAIL receptor is expressed in the surface of a variety of cells. Recent studies show that TRAIL induces the apoptosis of tumor cells and has no significant toxic effect on normal cells. Its anti-tumor activity and safety have been widely recognized. The development of prostate cancer is regulated by the mechanisms of cell apoptosis. TRAIL can induce the apoptosis of prostate cancer cells, and therefore has a great application value in the treatment of prostate cancer.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effects of enblock distal radius T-plate fixation in treating trailing edge fracture of tibial plateau medial condyle and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) avulsion fracture.
METHODSFrom September 2008 to November 2011, 5 patients with trailing edge fracture of tibial plateau medial condyle and PCL avulsion fracture caused by knee joint hyperextension, were treated with surgery. There were 3 males and 2 females with an average age of 35 years old (25 to 42). Left knee injury was in 3 cases and right knee had in 2 cases; 2 cases caused by sports injury and 3 cases caused by road accident. All patients were undergone emergency treatment. Fractures were anatomically reduced and fixed with T-plate through poples approach. Complications were observed after operation. Bone healing and clinical effects were respectively evaluated by X-rays and HSS system.
RESULTSFive patients were followed up for 1 to 4 years with a mean of 2 years. All incisions obtained healing of I stage. All knee joints recovered well and were stable with inflexion more than 120 degrees, no complications such as knee joint pain, injuries of nerve and blood vessel, infection, internal fixation failure were found. The mean score of HSS system was 94.40 +/- 6.09 and all patients got excellent result.
CONCLUSIONFor the treatment of trailing edge fracture of tibial plateau medial condyle and PCL avulsion fracture caused by knee joint hyperextension, enblock distal radius T-plate fixation had advantages of good stability, higher success rate, and knee joint function can recover well.

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effects of steel plate fixation after the failure of arthrodesis of ankle by screw fixation.
METHODSFrom August 2001 to October 2011, 15 patients were with steel plate fixation after failure of arthrodesis of ankle by screw fixation. Among patients, 9 cases were males and 6 cases were females, ranging age from 40 to 65 years old with the average of 56 years old. Ten cases were in left and 5 cases were in right. Screws were removed and steel plate was fixed intraoperatively, and plaster external fixation for postoperation. Clincal effect were evaluated according to AOFAS scoring system from pain, waliking ability and aligment before and after operation, and X-ray was used to evaluate joint fusion after operation.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 4 months to 4 years with an average of 2 years. The incison were healed in stage I. No ankle pain, injury of blood vessel and nerve, infection and farilure of internal fixation occuerred. The AOFAS score increased from 36.86 +/- 8.32 preoperatively to 85.09 +/- 4.65 (t = -26.366, P = 0.000).
CONCLUSIONSteel plate fixation after the failure of ankle arthrodesis of screw fixation has the advantages of rigid stability, simple manipulation and high success rate, less pain, perfect recovery.

Objective To evaluate the locating effects of a portable ultrasound for leg perforator flaps, and the clinical effects of leg perforator flaps for the wounds of the extremities. Methods Since December 2009 to March 2011,thirty-one cases of soft tissue defects of the extremities were treated with free vascularized leg perforator flaps in our center.A portable ultrasound were used for the locating of the perforator arteries of the leg before the operations. These flaps include 24 cases of the fibular artery perforator flaps (4 with simultaneous fibula transfer),three cases of the posterior tibia artery perforator flap, two cases of the medial gastrocnemius artery perforator flap, and 2 cases of the lateral gastrocnemius artery perforator flap. The flap size ranged from 15.0 cm × 8.0 cm to 1.0 cm × 1.5 cm.The caliber diameter of the perforator artery ranged from 0.2 mm to 1.8 mm.The wounds included 21 cases of the hand, five cases of the forearm, and 5 cases of the leg. Results The coincidence rate intraoperatively of the portable ultrasound was 96.8%.All the flaps survived and the wounds healed uneventfully. The donor site of the flaps were either closed directly or closed with partial split-thickness skin graft. Conclusion The portable ultrasound is an effective, reliable and accurate instrument for locating the leg perforator flaps. The leg perforator flaps have the advantages of convenient harvest, satisfactory thickness, less donor site morbidity, and high survival rate.

Objective To ssarch for the relationship between hemoglobulin (Hb),erythrocyte protoporphyrin (EP) and the altitude. Methods The altitudes of Guinan and Maduo county in Qinghai province are respectively 3200m and 4300m. The 122 healthy students aged from 7 to 14 years old were selected, Hb and EP of them were respectively determined by the methods of ferric cyanation and fluorospectrophotometry. The statistical treatment was carry out by t test and matched-pair t test. Results The Hb levels of the healthy children aged from 7 to 14 years old in Guinan and Maduo county are respectively 133 .6?10.1 and 152.8?14.0 g/L (t = 12.31, p<0.001), the EP levels of them are respectively 320.7 ? 114.9 and 347.8 ? 123.6 ?g/L (t = 1.77, P>0.05), the value of EP/Hh of them are respectively 2.4 ?0 .9 and 2 .3?0.8 (t = 1.12, p>0.05). The result of matched-pair t test shows that there are not sexural difFerence for Hb, EP and EP/Hb (P>0.05).Conclusion Along with the increasing of altitude, the Hb and EP levels of the healthy Children aged from 7 to 14 years old are obviously increased and on sexural difference.
