Objective To compare operative and non-operative treatments for intraarticular fractures of distal radius by meta-analysis. Methods The literature which had been published in English or Chinese from 1988 to 2008 on comparison between operative and non-operative treatments of intraartieular fractures of distal radius were searched for on line.Three Chinese papers and 2 English ones were eligibly included in this meta-analysis.The clinical data of the 5 papers were collected for comparing wrist function,reduction on X-rays,complications and patient's satisfaction. Results Operative treatment resulted in better reduction on X-rays,better wrist function and fewer complications but lower patient's satisfaetion than non-operative treatment. Conclusion The operative treatment should be recommended for intraarticular fractures of distal radius,but meanwhile the needs and expectations of the patient should be also addressed.

This study was aimed to investigate Baishile Capsule on behavior, memory and expression of SYN I and SYNA in hippocampal CA3 region of depression model rats. SD rats were randomly divided into six groups, which were the control group, depression model group, fluoxetine hydrochloride group, and the Baishile Capsule group (2.88 g·kg-1, 1.44 g·kg-1, 0.72 g·kg-1). The chronic stress depression model rats were established by chronic and mild unpredictable stressors as described in the literature. In the model group, medicine was intragastricly administered once per day and continued for 21 days. In the control group and model group, same volume of distilled water was intragastricly administered. The open-field test, preference for 1% sucrose solution, Morris water maze, and rate of weight were carried out and observed. Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were used in the observation of the expression of SYN I and SYNA in each group of model rats. The results showed that high-dosage Baishile Capsule can significantly increase the horizontal and vertical activities of score after two-week treatment (P< 0.01). The middle-dosage Baishile Capsule can significantly increase the horizontal activity of score after three-week treatment (P< 0.05). The rat's preference for sucrose solution was obviously increased in the high-dosage group after one-week treatment and in the middle-dosage group after three-week treatment (P< 0.01, or P< 0.05). The rate of weight of rats was obviously increased in the high-dosage group after two-week treatment and in the middle-dosage group after three-week treatment (P< 0.01, or P< 0.05). The high-dosage and middle-dosage Baishile Capsule can shorten EL, and significantly increase the number of target quadrant. The high-dosage Baishile Capsule can obviously shorten the target quadrant latency (P< 0.05). Compared with the model group, the immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization showed high-dosage Baishile can significantly promote the expression of SYN I and SYNA in hippocampal CA3 region; and the middle-dosage group can enhance the expression of SYNA (P < 0.05, or P <0.01). It was concluded that Baishile Capsule can obviously improve the behavior and the expression of SYN I and SYNA in hippocampal CA3 region of depression model rats.

ObjectiveTo investigate the role of electroencephalogram (EEG) examination in the prognosis evaluation of patients with severe craniocerebral injury.MethodsFifty-seven patients with severe craniocerebral injury were selected as study subjects and their clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.All the patients got EEG examination,and the relationships between EEG grading and Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score,the prognosis of outcome were analyzed.ResultsThe EEG of 57 patients within 24 h after hospitalization were all abnormal.There was significantly negative correlation between EEG grading and GCS score (r =-0.742,P ＜0.05).EEG grading was significantly positively correlated with the prognosis of outcome (r =0.730,P＜ 0.05).ConclusionsEEG examination and EEG grading can evaluate the prognosis of patients with severe craniocerebral injury.It provides reference for clinical treatments.

Objective To explore the risk factors of hyponatremia in postoperative patients with aneurysm and analyze the clinical characterstics in order to provide reference for clinic.Methods Participants included 120 patients who treated by aneurysm occlusion.Detailed recorded the patient's history and basic information.The patients with hyponatremia were in case group,and other patients were in control group.The risk factors of hyponatremia were analyzed.Results Forty-five patients (37.5％) occurred hyponatremia after operation.The level of natrium was (125.2 ± 10.1) mmol/L,the average time of appear hyponatremia was (8.2 ± 0.8) d,15 patients were in the first peak(postoperative 1-3 d),25 patients were in the second peak (postoperative 8-9 d),5 patients occurred hyponatremia at other time.Thirty-nine patients were internal carotid artery aneurysms,6 patients were vertebrobasilar artery aneurysms.Single factor analysis showed that the age,preoperative GCS scores,history of hypertension and diabetes,emergency operation,the size of arterial aneurysms,medium-sized aneurysm of artery between two groups had significant difference [(48.7 ± 8.4) years vs.(54.7 ± 8.4) years,(14.4 ± 3.1) scores vs.(10.3 ± 3.4)scores,26.7％ (20/75) vs.60.0％ (27/45),33.3％ (25/75) vs.62.2％ (28/45),32.0％ (24/75) vs.62.2％(28/45),(0.9 ±0.3) cm vs.(1.4 ±0.4) cm,24.0％(18/75) vs.42.2％(19/45),P ＜ 0.01 or ＜ 0.05].Multifactors regression analysis showed that preoperative GCS scores,emergency operation were the independent risk factors of hyponatremia (P＜ 0.05).Conclusions Postoperative 1-3 d and 8-9 d are the peak stage of hyponatremia.Different treatment should be adopted according the peak stage.Lower scores of preoperative GCS and emergency operation are the independent risk factors of hyponatremia.Clinical work need to pay more attention to the risk factors,appropriate treatment and prevention.

Objective To investigate the influence of different interventional treatment timing on the prognosis of patients with intracranial aneurysms. Methods One hundred and thirty-eight patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms were divided into group A (Ⅰ- Ⅲ grade) with 109 cases and group B ( Ⅳ- Ⅴ grade) with 29 cases according to Hunt-Hess grade when admitted. All patients received interventional treatment, the operation period was divided into early, middle and late stage according to the different time from disease time to operation, then compared the good rate, cerebral vasospasm and hydrocephalus incidence of patients underwent surgery at different period. Results The good rate at different period in group A were respectively 69.7% (23/33),58.8% (10/17) and 61.0% (36/59),which and the cerebral vasospasm and hydrocephalus incidence of patients underwent surgery at different period in group A had no significant difference(P > 0.05). The good rate of patients received surgical treatment at early stage in group B was 46.2%(6/13), which was significantly superior to late stage (0), the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05), while the cerebral vasospasm and hydrocephalus incidence of patients underwent surgery at different period in group B had no significant difference(P> 0.05). Conclusion The prognosis of patients with Hunt-Hess grade Ⅰ - Ⅲ grade undergoing interventional treatment at early, middle and late stage can be satisfactory, while grade Ⅳ - Ⅴ grade patients should receive interventional treatment at early stage.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of liquid-based thinprep cytology test (TCT) and human papillomavirus (HPV) in cervical lesions diagnosis.Methods 525 patients with TCT was inflammation and abnormalities had HPV testing and colposcopy with biopsy analysis.Results Histopathological diagnosis as CIN Ⅰ or CIN Ⅰ above cases percentage of TCT of ASCUS,LSIL,HSIL,and cancer cases were 55 ％ (160/290),88 ％ (99/113),92 ％ (24/26) and 100 ％ (4/4),Pathological diagnosis as inflammation and glandular phosphate in 441 cases of this TCT-positive patients were 148 patients,false positive 34 ％.TCT-negative patients,pathologically confirmed of CIN in 84 cases patients with moderate to severe cervical erosion or cervical polyps were 22 cases,26 ％ TCT false negative.They had statistically significance (x2 =815.4,P =0.000).74 ％ HPV positive patients diagnosed as CIN Ⅰ or CIN Ⅰ above (x2 =104.94,P =0.000).Diagnosed as CIN Ⅰ cases in less than 30 years old accounted for 62 ％ (61/98),CIN Ⅱ and above for only 38 ％ (37/98) and without cancer.But the CIN Ⅰ in above 30 age group was significantly reduced to only 37 ％ (81/217),CIN Ⅱ and above was significantly increased to 63 ％ (136/217),and cancer rate increased (x2 =63.71,P =0.012).Histopathological diagnosed as CIN Ⅰ case were 26 ％ (83/315) of cervical smooth,74 ％ (232/315) of cervical erosion; 14 cases of cancer occurred in patients with cervical erosion.It was statistically significant (x2 =39.9,P =0.014).Conclusion TCT and HPV for screening of cervical lesions play an important role in cervical lesions screening.

Objective To compare the efficacy of balloon dilation and YAG laser endouretertomy in treatment of secondary ureteric stricture . Methods 32 patients with secondary ureteral stricture were randomly divided into balloon dilatation group and holmium laser cut group, 16 cases in each, respectively. The two kinds of treatment efficacy was compared after two years postoperative follow-up. Results The clinical results of the two groups showed no statistical differences at the third, sixth and twelfth month follow-up (P > 0.05), and there were no statistical differences in the overall effective rates (P > 0.05). The clinical results of the two groups showed no statistical difference at the twenty-fourth month follow-up (P < 0.05), and the overall effective rates had statistical difference (P < 0.05). Conclusions Balloon dilation and YAG laser endouretertomy in treatment of secondary ureteral stricture have the same short-term clinical effects. But the middle-term efficacy of YAG laser endouretertomy is superior to that of balloon dilation.
