OBJECTIVETo investigate the treatment for tibial exposure wounds.
METHODS39 patients with tibial exposure wounds were divided into three groups according to the exposure location (upper, medium and below). The local muscular flaps were designed to cover the tibial exposure, followed by skin grafts and VSD. VSD was removed one week later.
RESULTSAll the muscular flap and skin graft survived. Mild epidermis erosion happened in 2 cases, which healed spontaneously after dressing. The patients were followed up for 3-6 months with good healing and no walking malfunction.
CONCLUSIONSThe local muscular flap combined with skin graft and VSD is a simple and effective method for tibial exposure wound with short healing time and high successful rate.

AIM: To investigate the effect of nitric oxid e (NO) and taurin on hemorrhagic shock /reperfusion injury. METHODS: Twenty-four rabbit s were divided randomly into 3 groups ( n= 8): control group and shock group and taurine group. The model of hemorrhagic shock/reperfusion was used. The activities of ni tric oxide synthase (NOS),superoxide dismutase(SOD),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),nitric oxide pvoducts( NO - 2/NO - 3) in plasma were observed before shock and shock 1.5 h,reper fusion 1 h ,2 h and reperfusion 3 h. RESULTS: ①During shock/reperfusion, the ac tivities of NOS,LDH and the contents of MDA,NO - 2/NO - 3 were significan tly highe r, but the activity of SOD was significantly lower in plasma of shock group than that of before shock and shock 1.5 h. ②At 3 h reperfusion, the activity of NOS and the contents of MDA, NO - 2/NO - 3 were significantly higher,bu t the act ivity of SOD was significantly lower in the lung and heart of shock group than t hat of control group. ③ Taurine(40 mg?kg -1 ,iv) attenuated all the c hanges above mentioned at total time points of reperfusion. ④ A close correlation was shown between MDA content and NO - 2/NO - 3 content in plasma, lung and i n heart. CONCLUSION: These results suggeste that NO may be involved in oxida nt-mediated shock/reperfusion, antagonistic effect of taurine on hemorrhagic shock/reperfusi on injury may be relate d to decreasing the generation of NO and anti-lipoperoxidation.

OBJECTIVE:To train the students’ability about true-and-false identification of pini pollen, typhae pollen and Lygo-dium japonicum. METHODS:Teachers firstly used flexible and diversifided teaching methods to train the learning interest of stu-dents,and then picture antithesis, classroom presentation and other methods were used to teach the distinctive features between the true and false traditional Chinese medicine in the characters of identification. RESULTS&CONCLUSIONS:There were obvious dif-ference among the colors, physicochmical poperties, microscopic characteristics and other aspects of 3 traditional Chinese medi-cines. According to the teaching, the students could not only distinguish the 3 traditional Chinese medicines accurately, but also could identify the true-and-false of them. picture antithesis and classroom presentation method are simple and vivid, and can be used for the training of students’ability about true-and-false identification.

Objective To investigate the possible influence of immunosuppressive therapy, including sirolimus (SRL) and calcineurin inhibitors (CNI, tacrolimus), on level of Treg in the liver allo-graft recipients, Methods Forty-seven liver transplant recipients with stable liver function were assessed for at least 2 years, and divided into two groups: one composed of 15 patients receiving SRL,and another, of those receiving CNI (32 patients with tacrolimus). Thirty-eight age-matched healthy subjects (HS) were used as normal controls. We examined the expression of CD4, CD25, and Foxp3 in peripheral blood monouclear cells. Treg of every group was analyzed using Cell Quest software. Results SRL significantly increased the prevalence of CD4+ CD25high T cells, compared with HS and CNI group. The prevalence of CD4+ CD25high T cells of CNIs group was significantly lower than that of HS. The percentage of CD4+ CD25high T cells in the total CD4+ T cells was 1.88 % (1.56 %-2. 60 %), 1. 15 % (0. 57 %-l. 48 %) and 0. 84 % (0. 46 %-1. 45 %) in SRL, NS and CNI group, respectively (P<0. 01 or P<0. 05). Foxp3 was expressed in more than 95 % of CD4 + CD25high T cells and less than 20 % of CD4+ CD25low T cells, whereas not expressed in CD4+ CD25- T cells. Conclusion Different immunosuppressive therapy (SRL or CNI) might have different roles in tolerance induction in liver transplant recipients. Namely, SRL promoted the induction of allo-antigen tolerance, but CNI hampered the progression.
