Objectives To detect the clinical significance of high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and immune function in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). Methods 103 children with MPP, 47 cases of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS group), 56 cases of non-systemic inflammatory response syndrome (non-SIRS group) were recruited. 26 healthy children served as the control group. ELISA was used to detect the level of serum hs-CRP, immune in-dexes, IgG, IgA, and IgM, Cellular immune CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+. Results The level of serum hs-CRP、IgG、IgM and CD8+in control group were significantly lower than those in non-SIRS group and SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of IgA、CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+in control group were significantly higher than those in non-SIRS group and SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of serum hs-CRP、IgG in SIRS group were significantly higher than those in non-SIRS group (P<0.05). The level of IgA、CD3+、CD4+、CD4+/CD8+in SIRS group were significantly lower than those in non-SIRS group. There was no significant difference in non-SIRS group and SIRS group of IgM and CD8+(P>0.05). The level change of serum hs-CRP were positively related with IgG (r=0.66,P=0.001) and were negatively related with IgA、CD4+、CD4+/CD8+(r=0.79, 0.67, 0.82, P all were<0.05) in chil-dren with MPP. Conclusion Children with MPP have Immunity function( including humoral immunity and cellular immunity) disorder which is related to the disease status. The level of hs-CRP could be an anpation index for the severity and immune func-tion of the children with MPP.

Objective To investigate the effects of fluvastatin on the tubulointerstitium damage in progressive diabetic kidney disease. Methods A rat model of type 2 diabetic nephropathy (DN) was developed successfully by combination of dietary induced insulin resistance and low dose STZ induced hyperglycemia after unilateral nephrectomy. Female SD rats were randomly divided into three groups: control rats, type 2 diabetic rats and type 2 diabetic rats treated with fluvastatin (2mg/kg/d). After 6 weeks, blood glucose, serum insulin, serum triglyceride and cholesterol, serum creatinine, and urinary protein were measured respectively. The protein expressions of c Jun and tansforming growth factor (TGF) ? 1 were studied by immunohistochemistry. TGF ? 1 gene expression was studied with a RT PCR technique. Results Fluvastatin at lower doses, which did not influence blood glucose and blood lipid level, significantly inhibited expression of c Jun protein(0 2536?0 0180 vs 0 5855?0 0314, P

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2016;24(11):1050-1054
Aquaporin4(AQP4),a member of the aquaporin family,is mainly expressed inastrocytes end-feet in the central nervous system. A large number of experimental studies have show n that AQP4 expression plays an important role in the occurrence, development, and regression of brain edema after different types of stroke. In addition, the AQP4 expression can affect the development process of cerebrovascular disease through the mechanisms such as affecting the integrity of the blood-brain barrier and promoting astrocyte migration, nerve regeneration, and neuroinflammatory response. Investigation of regulation mechanisms of AQP4 in transmembrane transport of substance in brain and intracel ular and extracel ular environmental balance and its expression in model of cerebrovascular disease have an important significance for understanding the occurrence, development, protection, and treatment of clinical cerebrovascular disease.

Objective To determine the effect of the modified UW (University of Wisconsin)solution in the treatment of acute renal tubular necrosis in newborn swine. Methods Ten one-week-old newborn swine were used to establish the animal model of acute renal tubular necrosis by clamping their renal arteries, and were divided into two groups: the model group( n = 5 ) and the treatment group ( n = 5 ) in which fructose diphosphate sodium UW solution was used. Sham surgery was performed on other five swine, which were used as the sham group. At 12 h,l d,2 d,3 d and 7 d after the operation, the urine volume, urine protein, blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(Cr) were determined. At 12 h ,24 h and 7 d after the operation ,renal pathological examination was conducted. Results The renal pathological examination and the blood biochemistry tests showed that the animal model was successful. BUN and Cr in the model group and the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the sham group at 12 h after operation(P <0. 05) ,and they arrived at their peak values at 2 d after operation, showed remarkable decline at 7 d,especially in treatment group, and returned to the level of the sham group. The urine protein in the model group and treatment group were higher than those in the sham group at various times(P <0.05 or P <0.01) and it peaked at 1 d after operation, then declining gradually, especially in the treatment group. Compared with the sham group, there were a significant decrease in the urine volume at various times in the model group(P <0. 05 or P <0. 01 ) ,while in the treatment group, the decrease in the urine volume were significant only at 12 h, 1 d and 2 d( P < 0. 05 ) ,and turned insignificant at 3 d and 7 d. The pathological examination showed that the pathological changes in the treatment group were significantly milder than those in the model group. Conclusion The modified UW solution is effective in reducing the acute renal tubular necrosis in newborn swine.
