RNA dot blot hybridization was employed to investigate the alterations in C-myc, C-H-ras transcript levels in bone marrow and peripheral blood cells from 24 patients with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia. 10 cases of normal bone marrow cells were used as control. We found that the positive rates and intensities of expression of C-myc and C-H-ras in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia were hipher than those of normal control. The C-myc and C-H-ras expressed simultaneously in 10 patients. After having been cultured 5 days with RA and low dose Ara-C combined with low dose Harr, the C-myc transcipt level of C-myc in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia was decreased obviously.

To solve the calibration transmission problem in near-infrared ( NIR) spectroscopy, a novel model transfer method, Simple Linear Regression Direct Standard-ization ( SLRDS ) , has been presented. To investigate the validity of the proposed method, a real corn sample NIR dataset was tested and the direct standardization ( DS ) method and piecewise direct standardization ( PDS ) method were involved as a comparison. Our results indicated that SLRDS can correct compressed NIR data differences among instruments and enable the user to share corn sample PLS calibration model among three instruments, at the same time it has higher prediction accuracy, fewer parameters and simpler model than DS and PDS.

Objective To explore the effect of motor imagery on motor recovery in hemiplegic patients after stroke. Methods From May, 2015 to October, 2016, 40 hemiplegic patients after stroke were randomly divided into control group (accepted routine rehabilitation, n=20) and motor imagery group (accepted motor imagery and routine rehabilitation, n=20). They were assessed with Fugl-Meyer Assess-ment (FMA), modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and six weeks after treatment. Fractional anisotropy (FA) of the focus was measured with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). Results The scores of FMA and MBI improved in both groups after treatment (t>5.088, P<0.001), and improved more in the motor imagery group than in the control group (t>2.124, P<0.05). The FA reduced in the focus compared with the same site of unaffected side in both groups before treatment (t>3.892, P<0.01), and there was no significant difference between two groups (t<1.144, P>0.05). FA increased in more patients of the motor imagery group (5/5) than in the control group (2/4). Conclusion Motor imag-ery can promote the recovery of motor function and activities of daily living in stroke patients, and may help the recovery of fibers in white matter.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(05):-
Objective To test whether feeder cells derived from mouse embryonic stem cells(mESCs) could support the growth of mESCs themselves. Methods mESCs were induced to form mouse embryoid bodies(EB),and then fibroblast-like cells were derived from further differentiated mEB(mEB-dF),which served as feeder cells. The undifferentiation of mESCs grown on mEB-dF was confirmed by morphological analysis, colony efficiency and cell differentiation rate of mESCs,immunocytochemistry, alkaline phosphatase staining and RT-PCR.The pluripotency of mESCs grown on mEB-dF was examined by RT-PCR,inducing their differentiation in vivo and in vitro. Results(Forty-eight) fibroblast-like cells lines were derived from the same EB at three periods(d 10,d 15 and d 20),and five of them, mostly derived from d15 EB,were able to maintain mESCs in undifferentiated status and pluripotential ability over 10 passages.mESCs cultured on these feeder cell lines expressed alkaline phosphatase and specific mESCs markers, including SSEA-1,OCT-4,NANOG,and formed EB in vitro and teratomas in vivo. However, the majority of mEB-dF lines(43/48) has no such ability. Conclusion This study not only provides a novel feeder system for mESCs culture, avoiding lot of disadvantages of mouse embryo fibroblasts used as the feeder, but also indicates that fibroblast-like cells derived from mESCs take on different functions. The molecular mechanism of different function of these fibroblast cells is worthy of further investigations.

Object To study the origin, morphology and histology of Galla Cinnamomi Camphorae(GCC). Methods By the literature investigation and the survey in the production area, GCC was identified by microscopic technique. Results The origin and the medicinal part of GCC were defined. Conclusion GCC is the abnormal fruit of Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl which has been infected by Exobasidium sawadae Yamada and formed with hymenium and fruit. The characters in morphology and histology of GCC provide the scientific reference of identification of the crude drug.

Purpose To explore the relationship of Tei index and the concentration of plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Materials and Methods Fifty healthy individuals (control group) and fifty dilated cardiomyopathy patients (study group) were recruited in this study. BNP level was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Color Doppler echocardiography were performed to measure the cardiac indices including left ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDd), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESd), interventricular septal thickness at diastole (IVSd), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Tei index was then calculated. The indices between the two groups were compared and correlation of Tei index and BNP with cardiac indices was analyzed. Results LVEDd, LVESd, Tei index, and BNP were significantly higher in study group than those in control group (t=14.4, 23.4, 21.9 and 22.3, P<0.01). IVSd and LVEF were significant lower in the study group (t=12.4 and 12.5, P<0.01). BNP was negatively correlated with LVEF (r= -0.266, P<0.05), and positively correlated with Tei index and LVEDd (r=0.401 and 0.326, P<0.05). Tei index was negatively correlated with LVEF and E/A (r= -0.480 and - 0.241, P<0.05), and positively correlated with LVEDd (r=0.375, P<0.05). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the variates of BNP stepwise regression equation were Tei index, LVEF and LVEDd (t=5.984, -2.477 and 2.326, P<0.05); after correcting LVEF, the stepwise regression analysis showed closer relationship between Tei index and BNP (t=2.728, P<0.05). Conclusion There is correlation between Tei index and BNP. Tei index may be a good index for accurately estimating global ventricular function.
