1.The primarily opinions of the hypertensive effects of Dilatrend (carvedilol
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):28-30
40 patients with hypertension according to the standard of JNC VI 1997 treated in the cardiovascular department of Friendship Hospital participated to a study. The results have shown that Dilatrend had a good hypotensive effect at dose of 12,5 mg /day (one tablet) for patients with hypertension in phase I or II. The drug remitted obviously the cardiac failure in patients with hypertension combining with the cardiac failure. The drug did not cause arrhythmia. There were no death and the hypertensive attack

2.Effects of Hypericum in hypertensives
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):60-62
36 patients with essential hypertension at grade I or II and ages of 60-84, treated by Hyperium at dose of 1-2 mg/day has shown that the drug reduced both diastolic and systolic blood pressure and did not cause the hematological and metabolic disorders. Therefore, Hyperium may be used for patients with grade I or II hypertension. However, it should further study on the larger number of patients and in long-term duration

3.Hypertensive effect of sublingual captopril
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):11-14
32 patients (male: 21) with average ages of 62 (11,4, hypertension (systolic blood pressure: 180mmHg, diastolic blood pressure: 110 mmHg) received the sublingual captopril at dose of 25 mg. The hemodynamometery was implemented before and after 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes of using the drug. If the blood pressure was not reduced to wanted level, the patient indicated more one tablet. If the blood pressure did not reduce about 25%, patients will be treated by combination of captopril with other drugs. The results have shown that efficacy at dose of 25 mg, 15 cases, at dose of 50 mg: 12 cases; ineffect and poor effect: 5 cases. Initial time of effect: 7 (1.04 minutes after using; time for maximum effect: 61 (24.3 minutes after using. The study concluded that captopril can be used in the urgent hypertension

4.Remarks on the relation between the thickening of left heart ventricle and arrhythmia in the patient of high blood pressure
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):18-20
40 hypertension patients aged from 45-75 years, with the signs of thickening of left heart ventricle detected by radiography, ECG and ultrasound were enrolled in tis study. The control group includes 35 other patients with the same range of age and the same stage of hypertension without thickening of left heart ventricle. The authors didn’t find any relation between the thickening of left heart ventricle and arrhythmia.

5.Some opinions of effects of plendyl (felodipine) in treatment of hypertension
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):22-23
30 patients (male:26) with average ages of 61+/- 8.5 and primary hypertension grade I-II were consulted and tested who used plendyl at a initial dose of 5 mg daily, within 4 weeks. The use of plendyl has demonstrated that the drug reduced both diastolic and systolic blood pressure.

6.Primarily results of treatment of grade I-II hypertension by coversyl
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):17-19
30 patients (male: 25) with average ages of 61+/- 3.8 and hypertension grade I-II were examined and tested. They used coversyl at a dose of 4mg/day. The results have indicated that the use of coversyl at dose of 4 mg daily reduced quitely the blood pressure and maintained this throughout 4 weeks of the treatment for grade I-II hypertensive patients. The major side effects was dry cough which related with the dose. Therefore, it should combine coversyl with other drug to prevent from using the high dose of coversyl in case the blood pressure was not reduced as wanted.

7.Atrial fibrillation in sinal nodal insufficiency
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):27-30
Atrial fibrillation responding the ventricular tachycardia is condition that needs emergency. This paper introduced a typical case of disease. A patients with age of 68 had unknown history of cardiovascular disease admitted to hospital in the conditions of the complete arrhythmia, blood pressure: 90/55mmHg; ECG: atrial fibrillation responding the ventricular tachycardia with rhythm of 216 times/minute. Patient was treated by intramuscalar seduxen, slow intravenous cordarone and infusion of isuprel. The patient becomes normal condition after 18 hours. The study concluded that if the cause is unknown, it should reduce the heartbeat.

8.A case of separated thoracic aortic aneurysm that was difficult for diagnosis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):13-14
Patients with 62 ages had sudden left angina pectoris, much sweating, anxiety and fear for moving. The tests found that SGOT, SGPT were normal, pulmonary Ray in the aortic loop and cardiac shadow were normal. Use of drugs for coronary arterial dilatation and hypotensive did not relieve the angina pectoris. The CT scanner found separated thoracic aortic aneurysm. The patient then was operated

9.Some opinions of the cardiovascular disease in the cardiovascular department of Friendship hospital
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;390(10):36-38
576 of patients with ages of 50-80 in the cardiovascular department of Friendship hospital participated to a study aiming at determination of frequent of the cardiovascular disease and common complications. The results have shown that the hypertension and the myocardial ischemia were two major cardiovascurlar diseases. The hypertension was major cause of the cerebrovascular accident while the cardiac valve diseases had a high rate of the cardiac failure. The hypertension and myocardial ischemia also were cause of the cardiac failure if these diseases were not treated properly.

10.Risk factors in patients with coronary arterial diseases
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;233(2):21-26
A study on 116 patients with the coronary arterial disease in Friendship hospital during 1996-2000 to evaluate the risk factors such as blood pressure, left ventricular thickness, body mass index (BMI), glycemia cholesterolemia and weight of myocardiac. The results have shown that the disease occurred mainly in patients with ages of 60-69; men with disease (64.6%); hypertension in grade I, II and III (60.3%) hyper cholesterolemia (56.3%); hypertriglyceridemia (25%), less physical exercise (58.7%); obesity in grade I, II, III (39%); diabetes (18.9%), left ventricular thickness (18.9%); postmentruation (85.3%). The study concluded that It is necessary to intervent early the risk factors to slow the progress of disease and reduce the accidents
