Objective To reveal the average pass rate of a general hospital's ethic review and common problems. Methods The records generated by the ethics committee of a hospital in 3 consecutive years were reviewed and analysed with ridit of CMH and Bootstrap statistical methods. Results The pass rate for drug clinical trial is 36.09%,medical instruments 18.42%,and subject evaluation 14.29%.Among the problems, those concerning informed consent take up 63.59%,of protocol 14.56%,of CRF 7.77% and of the others 22.820%.The domestic applicants had more problems than those abroad.Besides, the pass rate of drug trials decreased with year from 45.83% in 2006 to 19.44% in 2008,which was statistically significant (P=0.029).In terms of drug clinical trial, the pass rate of revised projects in foreign countries was significantly higher than the domestic ones (P=0.028).ConclusionEthics Committee in a hospital plays a very important role in clinical researches. And informed consent and research protocol are very important in the ethic review.
4.Construction of cooperative innovation model for the subject innovation ecological system
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2011;24(2):92-94
Ecological system of subjects innovation is a strategic paradigm proposed by researchers of subjects innovation. In order to achieve efficient knowledge reuse and continuous knowledge innovation,Ecological system of subjects innovation reconstructs, integrates and optimizes the internal and external resource scattered in different subjects, knowledge chains ,knowledge alliances, knowledge clusters. To construct the cooperative innovation model of ecological system of subjects innovation. In this paper, the definition of ecological system of subjects innovation has been given. Then cooperative innovation model has been constructed and ecological system of subjects innovation has been demonstrated through some cases.Cooperative innovation model of ecological system of subjects innovation is composed of the purpose, the partner and the cooperation.Using extended network cooperation model, ecological system of subjects innovation gain the advantages of competition.

Objective We compared the new teaching curriculum of evidence-based medicine (EBM) with the traditional one to explore a more effective one of EBM and provide reference for the popularization of EBM in Xinjiang. Methods From the fourteen regions in Xinjiang,we selected randomly four regions, and the trainees of the four regions were allocated randomly to the experimental group (169) and the control group (167).The new teaching curriculum was used in the experimental group and the raditional one in the control group. After training,we investigated all the trainees with questionnaires and compared the differences of the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, trainees of the experimental group were significantly enhanced in the abilities of cognition (χ2 =6.870,P=0.009),literature retrieval (χ2 =22.670,P=0.000),communication (χ2 =6.288,P =0.012)and scientific research (χ2=4.667,P = 0.031).However,the difference in the ability of diagnosis and treatment (χ2 =0.663,P=0.426) was not significant. On the other hand, the total examinational scores and the scores for the chapters of general introduction, etiological factor, diagnosis and system review of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, but there was not significant difference between the two groups in terms of the scores for the chapters of treatment and prognosis. Conclusion The new teaching curriculum of EBM is beneficial in developing the abilities of cognition, literature retrieval, communication, scientific research and apprehension of EBM theory and is more applicable for the popularization of EBM in Xinjiang.
6.Analysis of Youth Science Fund projects of 11 colleges and universities in 2001-2009
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2011;24(2):105-108
This study analyzed the average annual growth rate of Youth Science Fund projects and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar in 11 colleges and universities. Those projects were funded by the department of life science of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2001- 2009.The average annual growth rate was calculated by Algebraic average method. The results showed that:① the average annual growth rate of Youth Science Fund project rose or dropped with the rise or drop of average annual growth rate of Science Fund Project.② the rapid growth of Youth Science Fund projects may enhance the ability of colleges and universities to gain National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholar.③ the capability of colleges and universities to gain life science project funded by NSFC is not balanced among different regions, and this gap is widening, and ④ to narrow the gap between disciplines, greater effort is needed to train outstanding young scholars.
