Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2007;26(1):8-12
Objective To study the active secondary metabolites from marine microorganism FIM02-635. Methods The producing strain was identified by taxonomical and phylogenetic studies. Two compounds FW635I1 and FW635I2 with immunosuppressive activities were extracted by organic solvents from the culture broth and purified by silica gel column chromatography and high speed counter current chromatography. The structures of the two compounds were determined by physico-chemical properties and spectral analyses, the biological activities were assayed in vitro. Results and Conclusion The producing strain was named as Micromonospora carbonacea FIM 02-635. Two compounds FW635I1 and FW635I2 were determined to be isoflavone Daidzein and Genistein, respectively, showed immunosuppressive and antitumor activities, but not antimicrobial activities.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2005;24(2):13-17
Objective To search for triterpene glycoside with new structure. Methods We studied the sea cucumber Colochirous anceps belonging to the family cucumariidea with many chromatography methods and found a new sulfated triterpene glycoside, which structure was established by a combination of spectroscopic analysis (IR, UV, ESI-MS and 2D-NMR), chemical transformations and other chemical evidence. Results and Conclusion The new sulfated triterpene glycoside was isolated and named Colochiroside A (1) .
3.Chemical composition of Porphyra haitanensis (Rhodophyta, Bangiales) in China
Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 2009;28(1):29-35
Objective To analyze the chemical composition of Porphyra haitanensis cultivated in Fujian Province. Methods The contents of crude protein, carbohydrate, crude fat, ash, free amino acids, inorganic elements, chlorophyll a,carotenoid, phycoerythrin and phycocyanin of dried P.haitanensis were determined by routine analysis methods. Results It showed the contents of crude protein, carbohydrate, crude fat and ash of dried P.haitanensis were 34.88%~37.21%,46.86%~49.27%,1.68%~2.09%and 8.75%~9.92%.The contents of chlorophyll a,carotenoid, phycoerythrin and phycocyanin in P.haitanensis were 60 1~646,120~130,1289~1802,1255~1743mg(100g)-1.P.haitanensis is rich in free amino acids and inorganic elements,i.e.K,Na,Mg,Fe,P and Zn,but very little heavy metals,i.e.Cu,Cd and Cr.Conclusions The P.haitanensis was a kind of health food, which was in high content of protein, low content of fat and rich of inorganic elements.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Objective To study the influences of chitosan on swimming time, changes of blood glucose and lactic acid in mice. Methods The test groups were given chitosan by oral administration, and eighteen days later, the swimming time, blood glucose and lactic acid were determined. Results The swimming time of test groups was obviously longer than that of the control group. After thirty-minutes swimming, the elimination of blood lactic acid and the recover of blood glucose were distinctly faster than those of the control group. Conclusion Chitosan had anti-fatigue effect on mice.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Objective To establish a UV method of determination of adenosine in Ligia exotica. Methods Adenosine was extracted with 37℃ water and separated by TLC silica gel, the absorbance was detected at 260nm with UV spectrophotometry. Results The cabibration curve for adenosion was linear within the range of 1.0~20.0?g?mL -1, r=0.9998 (n=6), the average recovery was 99.3%,RSD=1.9% (n=3). Conclusion The method was simple, convenient and accurate for determination of adenosine in Ligia exotica.

Aim To study the infuences of Haishengsu extracted from Tegillarca granosa on cultured tumor cells of lung cancer, breast cancer and carcinoma of stomach from human in vitro and its preventive antitumor effect on transplanted tumor in mice in vivo. Methods The inhibitory effect of Haishengsu on tumor cells proliferation was assayed by MTT method, and transplant tumor models of sarcoma 180 (S 180), Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC), and hepatoma (Heps) were used. Before and after transplantation, different doses of Haishengsu were given to the mice for 10 days. The inhibition rates and life span of the mice were calculated. Results Haishengsu at concentrations of 0.5%~2.0% inhibited the proliferation of tested tumor cells in vitro, especially on lung cancer cells with a dose dependent manner (r= 0.974,P

Objective To study the effects of the inopolysaccharide from Spirulina maxima (IPSⅡA) on tumor-bearing mice.Mothods The sarcoma 180(S 180) was transplanted in the abdominal cavity and armpit of mouse and then the survival time, the tumor weight, leukocyte count and the immunity index of the tumor-bearing mice treated with IPSⅡA were measured and compared with the control group. Results and ConclusionThe results showed that medication of IPS IIA ip in advance could obviously inhibit the tumor growth and prolong the survival time of the tumor-bearing mice.
