This article comes from abundant experiences of TCM therapy of children cough variant asthma, on basis of theory of "pathogen usually intruding into collateral in protracted disease" and Treating "hidden stagnation" theory from Peng Bo, and according to physiology characteristic of children and conclusion of pathology experiment, inquires into mechanism and prescription of treating the disease from hidden wind and stagnation. This method demonstrates essence of TCM pathology of cough variant asthma, embodies the marrow of "curing the illness from essence", expects to obtain break-through about both theory of Chinese Medicine and practice .

Objective:To compare the effect of curing polymyalgia rheumatica either by using both Biqi capsule and prednisone or by using prednisone alone. Methods: Thirty-nine patients of polymyalgia rheumatica were randomly divided into two groups, 18 patients in the treatment group treated with Biqi capsule and small dosage of prednisone; 21 patients in the control group treated with small dosage of prednisone. The therapeutic course was 12 weeks. The patients' symptoms of muscle ache, inflexibility in the morning and T-cell subsets determination (CD4, CD8)were observed and scores of clinical practice was made. Results: The respective total effective rate was 94.44% for the treatment group and 66.67% for the control group. There was distinctive difference in the scores for the treatment group and the control group in relieving the patients of the symptoms of polymyalgia rheumatica. The treatment group would help the patients of polymyalgia rheumatica to improve their immunity ability. Conclusion: The combination of Biqi capsule and prednisone can help to improve the effect of curing polymyalgia rheumatica.

Objective:To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP) and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase(TIMP)in mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis(MsPGN) rat renal tissue and the effects of nourishing kidney and activing blood recipe of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:Chose 54 male rats and separated them into control group, MsPGN group and treated group with nourishing kidney and activing blood recipe of traditional Chinese medicine.Chose six rats per group at the time of the second,the fourth and the eighth week.The sections were treated with HE and PAS stains and the routine pathologic study was carried.Immunohistochemical staining was used to check the expression of MMP-2,TIMP-2, membrance type metalloproteinases-1(MT1-MMP) and transforming growth factor-?1(TGF-?1).Flow Cytometry was used to check the protein expression of MMP-2,TIMP-2,MT1-MMP and TGF-?1 in rat renal tissue.Results:In MsPGN group,following with the disease progressing,the glomerulus grew graduatly,ECM became more and more,the basement membrane of glomerulus was thicker.The immunohistochemical staining showed the expression of MMP-2 and MT1-MMP was lower compared with control group,but in treated group the level was weaker,the expression of TIMP-2 and TGF-?1 was higher compared with control group,but in treated group the level was weaker too. Objective:To investigate effect of the serum contained Radix Astragali, Hirudo, Hirudin and the compounding of these two herbs respectively on the growth cycle and apoptosis of rats' glomerular mesangial cells(GMCs)and observe the morphology of apoptosis. "Seven kinds of prescriptions" and "Ten formulas of materia medica" were important classifications of prescription. According to textual research, the title of"Seven kinds of prescriptions" appeared fi rst in XU Shu-wei’s Shang han jiu shi lun (Ninety Essays on Cold Pathogenic Diseases), which was applied in medical education in the Song Dynasty. The title of "Ten formulas of materia medica" was beginning from CHEN Cang-qi’s ten kinds of "general drugs", and its concept was expanded from "kind" of drugs into "prescription" in Sheng ji jing (Classic of Holy Universal Relief) of the Song Dynasty. These two classif ications had great influence on classif ication of prescription based on functions in later time. The development of "Seven kinds of prescriptions" and "Ten formulas of materia medica" in the Song Dynasty was discussed, and the reasons was analyzed in this paper.

Objective:To observe the effect of different TCM prescriptions of JinKuiYaoLve on levels of noradrenaline(NE), dopamine(DA) and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) in lung and brain tissues of pulmonary fibrosis in the early stages. To investigate the effect and mechanism of TCM prescriptions and the nature of prescription-syndrome. Methods: The wistar rats were divided into groups randomly. Pulmonary fibrosis was induced by bleomycin A5 in all groups except normal group. Rats in drug group were killed after 7 days' treatment. The levels of NE, DA and 5-HT in the lung and brain tissues were detected. Results: The level of NE in the lung tissue of model group was higher than that of normal group, Gualouxiebai decoction(GLXB) group and prednisone group. The level of 5-HT of model group was lower than that of Shenqi Pills(SQW) group and prednisone group. The level of DA of SQW group was lower than that of GLXB group. The level of NE in the brain tissue of model group was higher than that of normal group, but the level of DA was lower than that of normal group, GLXB group and Maimendong decoction(MMD) group. Objective:To study the change rule of rats'pulse waves after kidney resection.Methods:To collect the pulse waves of femoral artery in each side of rats in Drugged state.Then do one-side kidney resection operation,after fully recover from it,collect the pulse waves again.To average the pulse waves in the same cycle length and then do the LSQ regression by 6 harmonics which are correspond with the cycle lengths,analyze the phase and the amplitude of vibration of fundamental wave and harmonics by statistical method.Results:The amplitude of vibration of the 3rd harmonics of pulse waves of femoral artery in the same side with operation and the amplitude of vibration of the 1st to 5th harmonics of pulse waves of femoral artery in the other side with operation has reinforced, the phase of the 1st and 2nd harmonics also have changed regularly.Conclusion:There're some regular changes in the pulse waves of rats after one-side kidney resection operation,which shows that the pulse waves of artery on the body surface can reflect the splanchnic changes.This research can offer some scientific foundation to the pulse-diagnosis in TCM.

Objective:To establish and validate the rat model of syndrome of stagnation of liver qi,followed by a primary study on this model with 1H NMR based on metabonomics to explore the essence of syndrome of stagnation of liver qi. Methods:Twelve Wistar male rats were randomly divided into two groups(model group and control group).The rats of model group were restrained by special equipment for 21 days to get into stagnation of liver qi.The behavior,fluid consumption test and plasma CORT of rats were recorded.At 22th day,animals were sacrificed and biopsies of gastric mucosa and adrenal gland were collected for pathological check,and serum samples for 1H NMR spectroscopy.The NMR data were analyzed using principal component analysis.Results:There were abnormal behaviors,such as decrease of elusion,slackness,looser stools,and matte fur were observed among model group rats.After one week the body weight of model group was significantly lower than that of control group(P
