Objective: To verify 5-HT4 receptor mRNA expression in intestinal mucosa mast cells (IMMC). Methods: IMMC was isolated from the whole intestines of normal rats by collagenase digestion and purified by percoll. In situ hybridization was performed to detect the expression of 5-HT4 receptor mRNA in IMMC. Results: Evidently positive staining was shown in the cytoplasm of IMMC. Conclusion: We have verified the expression of 5-HT4 receptor mRNA in IMMC for the first time and provided evidence for further research.

Objective To analyze the HEV genetic structure and nucleotide homology isolated from sporadic acute hepatitis E in Changchun.Methods HEV RNA was detected with reverse transcription nested polymerase(RT-nPCR) and sequenced by automatic sequenator.Results The length of acquisitive HEV-CCC220 was 7193 bp coding 2397 amino acid.The gene of HEV-CCC220 was composed of 5'-UTR(nt 1-9),3'UTR(nt 7152-7193) and three open reading frames(ORFs).Its homology with HEV IV was obviously higher than that with HEV(I-III.) The whole genome sequence nucleotide homology was 83.2%-85.0%,85.0%-93.9% and 80.6%-86.7% as compared with 300nt and 98nt partial nucleotide sequence of ORF2.The homology comparison of various areas and various lengths of nucleotide was different.Conclusion The HEV-ccc220,which sporadically happened in Changchun,is the subtype IV of HEV.The 300nt of ORF2 can replace the whole gene order to perform genotype analysis of HEV.

Objective To study the role of gap junctions in epileptiform activity. Methods The epileptiform activity was induced by zero-Mg 2+ medium in cultured hippocampal neurons of newborn rats. Immunocytochemistry and real time RT-PCR were introduced to evaluate the expression of gap junction Cx32 and Cx43. Results The level of Cx32 mRNA increased quickly one hour after the neurons were treated with zero-Mg 2+ medium and was raised by 10 times 5 hours later, while Cx32 protein began to develop at the 2nd hour (21.80?1.74) and was raised by 5 times at the 8th hour (47.30?5.75). The expression of Cx43 mRNA went up obviously 5 hours later, and Cx43 protein developed visibly 8 hours later. Carbenoxolone depressed the expressions of Cx32 and Cx43. Conclusions The expression of Cx32 and Cx43 increases dramatically after epileptic discharges and carbenoxolone inhibits both the discharges and the expression of gap junctions, which indicates that gap junction could contribute to epileptogenesis.

Objective To investigate the clinical application of free submental flap for defects reconstruction after oral cancer ablation.Methods Eleven cases of free submental flaps for defects reconstruction after oral cancer ablation from April,2013 to May,2014 were reviewed.The primary disease,defect type,flap side,flap size and flap survival rate were recorded.The follow-up data of tumor recurrence,lymph node metastasis,as well as postoperative facial appearance and function of marginal mandibular branch of facial nerve were collected.Results Primary disease of all 11 cases was oral squamous cell carcinoma.No flap failure was reported and the overall flap survived.The follow-up period was 6-18 months with the average of 9 months.There was no tumor recurrence and metastasis of lymph node.Postoperative facial appearance was satisfactory and there was no nerve injury of marginal mandibular branch which showed normal and symmetrical expression motion.Conclusion Free submental flap owns many ad vantages including constant anatomy,long vascular pedicle,wide range of indications and low donor-site morbidity.Contralater submental flap may avoid potential lymph node metastasis.Free submentai flaps is an ideal choice for reconstruction of oral and maxillofacial defects after cancer ablation.

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of titanium elastic intrameduUary nail (TEIN)in treatment of pediatric radial neck fractures. Methods A total of 16 children with radial neck fractures were treated TEIN from February 2008 to February 2010.Long arm cast immobilization was used one week postoperatively and functional exercise was done after removal of the external fixation.Results All the patients were followed up for average 5.3 months (3.5-14.0 months),which showed the average period of bony union for 5.8 weeks(4-7 weeks).Except for one patient who aroused skin soft-tissue irritation symptoms at the nail end,no other complication was found.The range of motion of the elbow and forearm in injury side of all patients Was the same as the normal side. Conclusions The application of TEIN has advantages of minimal invasive lesion,nil effect on pheseal plate,good fracture union,rapid functional rehabilitation and little compliations and hence is one of ideal choices in treatment of pediatric radial neck fracture.

To investigate the neurepretoctive effect of the aqueous extract of dried fruits of lycium barbarum(LBA)OH the hereditary retihal dystrophy of the Royal CoUege of Surgeon(RCS)rats,a total of 24 postnatal RCS mrs were randomly and equally divided into two groups.control group(CG)and experimental group(EG),respectively.EG rats were fed with 1 mg/kg LBA daily 10 days postpartum,and CG rats were fed normally.CG and EG RCS rats were executed at postnatal 25,35 and 50 days.Then photoreceptor cells necrosis and apoptosis Wag assessed by HE staining,and TUNEL detection.The expression of Cagpage-2 protein Wag detected in retina by immunohistochemistry.The results showed that comparing with RCS rata in the CG,25 and 35 days postpartum,the positive expression of TUNEL in RCS rats in the EG obviously reduced(P＜0.05);25 and 50 days postpartum,Caspage-2 positive ceils were seen in both ganglion cell layer and inner nuclear layer in both CG and EG rats.The positive expression of Caspage-2 Wag less$een 25 days postpartum in EG rats than CG rats(P＜0.05).The present results suggest that LBA hag neuroprotecdve effects on the early stage of retinal degeneration of the hereditary retinal dystrophy RCS rats by inhibiting apoptosis,resulting more photoreceptors preserved.Cagpage-2 protein may contribute to the retinal degeneration and LBA might protect apoptotic ueuron$by inhibiting the expression of Cagpage-2.

Objective To investigate the MRI features of intracranial lymphoplasmacyte-rich meningioma and the corelation between the MRI features and pathologic findings. Methods The MRI and pathologic data of 7 patients with lymphoplasmacyte-rich meningioma were reviewed retrospectively. All cases were proved by surgery and pathological examinations. Results All lesions were solitary. The tumors crawled along meninges in 6 cases and in 5 cases the tumors did not appear as mass lesions. In 2 cases, the tumors appeared as half-moon. The boundary of all of the tumors was unclear, accompanying heavy peritumoral brain edema. The brain invasion can be seen in 7 cases. The lesions showed hypo-isointense signal on T1 WI in 7 cases, hyper-isointense signal in 5 cases and hypo-isointense in 2 cases on T2 WI.Enhancement scan demonstrated marked enhancement in 7 cases. Extensive thickening of the meninges was observed in 6 cases. Pathological results showed that the cells were abundant and diversified, with a great quantity of lymphoplasmacytes, and there were typical meningeal epithelial cells area in the surgical specimen. Conclusion The MRI findings of lymphoplasmacyte-rich meningioma show some features different from other common meningiomas, which would be helpful to the diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

16S rDNA sequences of 30 Bacillus strains originally identified as Bacillus licheniformis from China Center of Industrial Culture Collection (CICC) were determined and analyzed. The results indicated that 24 strains are affiliated to Bacillus licheniformis;3 strains are affiliated to Bacillus cereus and 1 strain is affiliated to Bacillus subitilis;the similarity levels of 16S rDNA among the rest of 2 strains and other strains of Bacillus licheniformis,range from 96.4% to 97.4%,further tests are needed to clarify their position. Also we testified that 5' terminal 500bp of 16S rDNA is available to differentiate the strains of Bacillus licheniformis、Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus cereus.
