Korean Journal of Preventive Medicine 1992;25(1):34-43
To investigate the effect of hyperoxia on EKG findings and to evaluate the applicability of EKG as noninvasive monitoring index of oxygen toxicity, 38 rabbits were continuously exposed to 6 different conditions-3 hyperbaric oxygenations (HBO-2.5, 3.5 and 5ATA, 100% O2), normobaric oxygenation (NBO, 100% O2), hyperbaric aeration (HBA-5ATA, 21% O2) and normobaric aeration (NBA, 21% O2)-for 120 minutes and their EKG and time to dyspnea and convulsion were recorded. Dyspnea and death were observed in exposure conditions of HBO-3.5 and HBO-5 (Positive rate of dyspnea; 10%, 100%, death; 10%, 25%, respectively) only, and convulsion in 4 oxygenation groups (NBO; 20%, HBO-2.5; 20%, HBO-3.5; 20%, HBO-5; 88%). Abnormal EKG findings included arrhythmia and ST-T changes and the incidences was increasing with doses(partial pressure of oxygen). In addition to EKG change, findings observed during exosure were dyspnea and convulsion in the order of appearence and when non specific ST-T change was accepted as positive (abnormal) finding, the frequency of abnormal EKG was statistically significant(p<0.01), but when it was excluded from positive results, the frequency of EKG change was not significant(p>0.05). These results suggest that the effect of hyperoxia on heart is myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia, that oxygenation more than 3.5ATA causes myocardial damage in 120 minutes exposure, and that EKG is valuable as monitoring index of oxygen toxicity.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1988;26(6):938-941
We present a case of eccrine spiradenoma occurring on the trunk in a 33 year old woman. She developed a pea sized, pinkish tender nodule on the anterior chest 8 years ago. On histologic examination, there were several lobules surrounded by thin connective tissue septa in dermis. The lobules themselves consisted of small dark staining cells and large pale-staining cells, forming solid cords or ducts.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1988;23(5):1248-1254
Nineteen patients (twenty knees) with degenerative arthritis of knee treated by arthroscopic curettage were reviewed. Of the nineteen patients, there were eighteen females and one male ranging in age from 49 to 68 years (mean, 57 years). The mean follow up period was 18.2 months (range, 12 months to 21 months). Simple standing roentgenorgram and 99m-Tc bone scintigraphy were used to select the patients with medial compartment involvement only, less than 5 degree of varus deformity and sparing of patello-femoral joint. Knee scoring by Hospital for Special Surgery Formula showed improvement from the preoperative average 68 points to postoperative average 89.6 points (21.6 points increase) and 84.1 points (16.1 points increase) at 6 months and one year respectively. Arthroscopic curettage of knee, if done early in degenerative arthritis, not only can shorten hospital days and immobilization period but also can defer other major surgical treatments by promoting natural healing process and symptomatic relief.

6.The Coordinative Locomotor Training Intervention Strategy Using the ICF Tool to Improve the Standing Posture in Scoliosis: A Case Report
Journal of Korean Physical Therapy 2021;33(1):7-15
Purpose:
This study was examined to improve the standing posture of a scoliosis client using the ICF Tool.
Methods:
For examination, the study subject was a 16-year-old female student diagnosed with 3curve-pelvic (3CP) type scoliosis. Information about her were collected through a client interview and based on international Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). The ICF core set was for post-acute musculoskeletal conditions, and the ICF level 2 items suggested by National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) were added to the recommendations for scoliosis. For evaluation, the ICF assessment sheet was used to identify the interaction among the problems. For the diagnosis, the client’s functional problems were described in ICF terms. For the prognosis, the global goals for reaching the client’s functional activity and participation level were presented as the long-and short-term goals. For the intervention, a coordinative locomotor training program composed of warm-up, main exercise, and cool-down was applied 3 times a week, 50 minutes a day, for 5 weeks. For the outcome, the differences between before and after the intervention were compared with the ICF qualifier and are shown with the ICF evaluation display.
Results:
Clinical advantages were observed in body function and structure (7° decrease of thoracic angle, 7 score increase of trunk muscle power, 6.47s improve of one leg standing, 4 score decrease of neck pain). The activity for maintaining the standing posture, in which the client had a primary limitation, was improved.
Conclusion
Applying the coordinative locomotor training program is expected to improve scoliosis client’s standing posture.

Korean Journal of Urology 1986;27(3):413-416
Management of bladder tumors depends upon early detection and adequate follow-up. Urine Cytology plays an increasingly important and prominent role in the multidisciplinary approach to this problem. Herein we review our experience with urine cytology in the diagnosis and follow-up of bladder cancer at Department of Urology, College of Medicine, Yonsei University from 1981 to 1985. 1. A total of 478 cytologic evaluations were performed in the 198 patients. 2. The overall incidence of positive cytology was 49.2%. 3. The incidence of positive cytology in the presence of biopsy proven bladder tumor was 71.1%. 4.The incidence of positive cytology after TUR followed by adriamycin instillation was 72.2% at diagnosis, 41.7% after 3 months, 31.0% after 6 months, 33.3% after 9 months and 36.8% after 12 months. 5. The Number of cases with negative cytology after TUR and adriamycin instillation was 11 cases after 3 months, 7 cases after 6 months, 2 cases after 9 months and 1 case after 12 months. 6. Of the 5 patients having recurred tumor, there was 4 patients who constantly class IV, and 1 patient who had conversion from class I or II to class IV.
