Objective To investigate the high resolution CT (HRCT) findings of pleura invasion of lung adenocarcinoma (stageⅠ) presenting as mixture ground glass nodule (mGGN).Methods 20 cases of lung adenocarcinoma presenting as mGGN were confirmed by pathology. The correlation of those cases with pleural adjacent relation and the relation between the maximum diameter and pleural invasion were analyzed retrospectively. Results (1)The classification of mGGN adjacent to the pleura relationship:type Ⅰ,typical and atypical pleural retraction sign,10 cases of this type did not show pleural invasion;type Ⅱa,the mGGN contacted pleural for ground glass opacity,4 cases of this type showed no pleural invasion;type Ⅱb,the mGGN contacted pleural for solid elements,6 cases of this type were with pleural invasion.(2)The difference of the maximum diameter of mGGN in groups pleural invasion and non-invasion was not significant statistically (P=0.694).Conclusion The mGGN contacted pleural for solid composition is a reliable sign in diagnosis of pleural invasion.

Objective To analyze the correlation between 18F-FDG SUV and immunohistochemical index including GLUT1, Ki-67, MVD, survivin and cyclinA in non-snall-cell lung cancer. Methods Thirty-three patients with NSCLC underwent preoperative PET/CT examination and surgical operation. All patients were divided into two groups according to the size of tumor (cutoff=3 cm), metastasis of mediastinal or hilar lymph nodes or not, and histological types of the cancer, respectively. The expression of GLUT1, Ki-67, MVD, survivin and cyclinA were estimated with SP immunohistochemical technique, and were analyzed statistically to reveal the correlation to FDG SUV. Results The rate of positive expression of GLUT1, Ki-67 and CD34 were 66.67%, 72.73% and 100%, respectively. The mean value of CD34 in all 33 patients was 12.6±2.9 (12-56). The rate of positive expression of survivin was 84.85%, and the corresponding data of cyclinA was 27.27%. Conclusion There is linear correlation between FDG PET SUV and GLUT1, but not between FDG PET SUV and Ki-67, MVD, survivin and cyclinA. The expressions of GLUT1, Ki-67, MVD, survivin and cyclinA are not related with the size of tumor, nor metastasis of lymph nodes. The expression of GLUT1 and Ki-67 is related with histological types of the cancer, but not with MVD, survivin and cyclinA.

Objective To analyze the imaging features of testicular solid lesions. Methods The CT and MR findings of 18 cases of testicular solid lesions confirmed by pathology were retrospectively reviewed. The location,attenuation/signal,size,shape,edge,and enhancement patterns of lesions were analyzed. Results In all of the 18 cases,5 cases were seminomas,1 of them was huge with punctate calcification,4 of them had low signal separations in T2WI.Lymphomas were in 4 cases, and all of them were primary diffuse large B cell lymphoma;T2WI was priority with low signal.Solitary fibrous tumor was in 1 case, and the attenuation was lower than that of muscle.Embryo in sinus tumor were in 1 case, and the attenuation/signal was unhomogeneous;the continued enhancement liking grid was obviously seen after contrast injection.Nonspecific inflammatory masses were in 4 cases with involving epididymis in 2 cases, and the attenuation/signal was unhomogeneous.Tuberculous mass were in 3 cases, and 1 case with points of calcificationwas on the edge of lesion,2 cases characterized by short T2 signals. Conclusion It is possible to make an accurate diagnosis by the combination of clinical data with imaging features in most of the testicular solid lesions.

Objective To construct subsystem of picture archiving and communicating system (PACS) based on video database of ophthalmology and to evaluate on effectiveness of applying PACS system in postgraduate teaching. Methods PACS subsystem were constructed by collecting audiovisual materials of ophthalmology surgery videos, retinal photography,B-ultrasonography,OCT,UBM of patients.A total of 24 postgraduates were divided into control group (n =12) and experimental group (n=12) by random number table.Students in control group was taught by traditional cases, books and literature while those in experimental by network teaching from PACS subsystem. Two teaching methods were assessed subjectively and objectively. Objective indicators including ophthalmology examination results, operational skill ratings and paper reviewing results as well as subjective indicators including efficiency to accept the knowledge, satisfaction degree of teaching, influencing degree of papers were employed to assess the effectiveness of the two teaching methods.Independent samples t-test and twosample rank sum test were used for statistical analysis,P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results Students in experimental group done better in operation scores and in the assessment of the efficiency of knowledge accepting, satisfaction of teaching and papers effect than control group(P =0.000、0.000、0.000、0.003).The two groups had no significant difference in professional exam achievements and paper review scores (P =0.625、0.354).Conclusions PACS subsystem based on video database of ophthalmology are benefit for postgraduate teaching.

We engineered a disulphide bridge between two adjacent double-layered beta-sheet at the N-terminal region of Trichoderma reesei endo-1,4-beta-xylanase II(XYN II) by site-directed mutagenesis. The native xylanase XYN-OU and the mutated xylanase XYN-HA12 (T2C, T28C and S156F) were separately expressed in Pichia pastoris. Both xylanases were purified and characterized. The optimum temperature of XYN-HA12 was increased from 50 degrees C to 60 degrees C, relative to XYN-OU. At 70 degrees C, the halftime of inactivation for XYN-OU and XYN-HA12 were 1 min and 14 min, respectively. The optimum pH of XYN-HA12 was 5.0, similar to XYN-OU. However, XYN-HA12 could retain over 50% activity from pH 3.0 to 10.0 at 50 degrees C for 30 min. As for XYN-OU, it could retain over 50% activity from the pH value 4.0 to 9.0 at 50 degrees C in 30 min. The result of the mutated xylanase indicated that constructed disulphide bridge could improve its thermostability at relatively higher temperature.
