1.Anti-inflammatory Effect of Fukang Granules

OBJECTIVE:To study the anti-inflammatory effect of Fukang granules (FK,prepared from traditional Chinese herbs,such as Radix Astragali,Radix Codonopsis,Angelica sinensis,etc.). METHODS:The anti-inflammatory action of FK was studied by carrying out rat paw edema test,mouse auricular swelling test,rat chronic pelvic inflammation test and rabbit salpingitis test.RESULTS:FK could lessen rat paw edema,mouse auricular swelling and rat pelvic inflammation and rabbit salpingitis,reduce blood viscosity and blood reduction viscosity and the coefficients of cell aggregation and thrombosis. CONCLUSION:FK has anti-inflammatory effect and the action of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis.
2.Study on Effects of Compound Rhizoma Bletillae Paint on Burning and Blanching Wound in Rats

Objective To study the effects of compound rhizoma bletillae paint (CRBP) on scalded rats. Methods Rats were randomly divided into test groups (CRBP low, high dose group), CRBP-CA (CRBP without chlorhexidine acetate) group, positive control group (Jingwanhong) and negative control group (no treatment) respectively, with 10 rats in each group. The drugs were administered topically on the surface of scalded places respectively after second-degree and third-degree burn scald models in rats. The rats were bred separately. The scabbing time, decrustation time and wound healing time were recorded. 3.Quality Standard of Baoshenling Capsules

OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Baoshenling capsules.METHODS:Radix Astragali,Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,Ligusticum chuanxiong and Hirudo were identified qualitatively by TLC,and the content of diphenyl ethylene in Baoshenling capsules was determined by HPLC.RESULTS:The characteristic TLC spots of Radix Astragali,Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,Ligusticum chuanxiong and Hirudo were identified accurately.The linear range of diphenyl ethylene was 0.176~0.880?g(r = 0.999 8) with an average recovery rate of 98.9%(RSD = 1.3%,n =6).CONCLUSION:The established standard is applicable for the quality control of Baoshenling capsules.
4.Effect of electret on cell growth and surface charge in fibroblast cells

Objective: To study the influence of electret on surface charge of fibroblast cells (3T3 cells) and to probe the relationship between cell growth, apoptosis and cell surface charge. Methods: Electrets Teflon PTFE, ±300 V,±1 000 V were used to treat 3T3 cells for 24, 48 and 72 h. Then the influences of electrets on cell cycle and surface charge of 3T3 cells were studied by flow cytometry and electrophoresis, respectively. Results: (1) After 24 h action of negative electrets, electrophoretic mobility (or surface charge) and cell number in S phase of 3T3 cells were significantly increased compared with those in control group. (2) Effect of negative electrets enhancing cell growth and increasing cell surface charge was in proportional to the surface potential of electret. (3) Surface charge density of apoptotic cell was reduced by electret. (4) After 24 h action of positive electret, the cell number in S and G2 phase were decreased and cell surface charge was also reduced. Conclusion: Negative electret can improve cell growth and increase cell surface charge density. Positive electret can restrain cell growth and reduce cell surface charge density. Surface charge of apoptotic cell is less than that of normal cell.
