A new method skim milk proteolysis ager diffusion test (SMPAD) was established. Extracelluar proteases in supernatants produced by Aeromonas hydrophila J-l in different mediums were detected by SMPAD and the Azocasein substrat method. It was demonstrated that the two methods agreed with each other and the SMPAD test was charactered by more easily operated, more sensitive and better repeated.

A new method agar diffsive hemolysis test (ADHT)was esteblished to measure thd hemlytic titer of HEC toxin produced by Aeromonas hydrophila. The ADHT had also been compared with the spectrophotometry and the microhemolyses test The results shows that the hemlytic titer detected by ADHTwas hither than the former methods and the ADHT was charactered by better and more easily determined.

Objectives: The incidence of cervical carcinoma is increasing in young females.More and more clinical researches focus on the choice of therapeutic methods and improvement of the patients' survival. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of preoperative concurrent chemoradiation for stage Ⅰb-Ⅱb high-risk cervical carcinoma in young females. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 118 female patients(≤35 years) with stage Ⅰb-Ⅱb high-risk cervical carcinoma,bulky,low-differentiation or non-squamous.According to preoperative treatments, the patients were divided into three groups,Group 1 preoperatively treated by concurrent chemoradiation,Group 2 by neoadjuvant chemotherapy and Group 3 by radiotherapy(intracavitary irradiation),all followed by radical hysterectomy. And those with pathologically reported pelvic lymph node metastasis, deep cervical stromal invasion, vascular tumor thrombosis,or surgical margin positivity received postoperative chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. Results: The disappearance rate of cancer cells and the rate of superficial myometrial invasion were significantly higher in Group 1 than in the other two groups(P

Objective To investigate effects of antioxidant stress protein hem e oxygenase-1 (HO-1) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endoplasm ic reticulum stress (ERS) of rat hepatocytes. Methods The BRL cells (rat hepatocyte cell line) were cultured. The hepatocytes were treated with LPS, LPS+HO-1 si RNA , HO-1 siRNA and PB S solution, respectively. The cell viability was m easured by trypan blue ex-clusion test. The apoptosis cells were detected by the fluorescent dye Hoechst 33258. E xpressions of GR P78, C HO P, caspase-12 and HO-1 were detected by Western blotting. Results LPS caused an in-crease of HO-1 protein expression of rat hepatocytes in a dose-dependent and tim e-dependent m anner, a up-regulation of GRP78, CHO P and caspase-12, a decrease in cellviability, and an increase in apopto-sis rate of hepatocytes. Pretreatm ent of HO-1 siRNA inhibited the up-regulation of LPS-induced HO-1, however, aggravated ERS and cellular injury. Conclusion HO-1 inhibites ERS-m ediated cellular injury of rat hepatocytes induced by LPS.
