Objective To analyze the correlative factors and cause of death within short-term in initially lucid patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).Methods 441 patients with spontaneous ICH admitted within 24 hours of onset and with Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score more than 9 on admission were enrolled. The demographic characteristics, clinical features at onset, CT, electrocardiograph (ECG) and laboratory findings, medical complications and 27 days outcome were recorded. Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed. Results 24 (5.4%) patients died winthin 27 days after onset, 14 (58.3%) died of brain herniation and central respiratory failure, another 10 (41.7%) of systemic complications. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that age was 75 years old or more, urinary incontinence at onset, peripheral white blood cell count more than 10.0?10 9/L on admission, blood glucose more than 7.0 mmol/L and abnormal ECG were independent correlative factors of death. Conclusions The short-term outcome of initially lucid patients with ICH is favorable in general, albeit with a relatively low mortality. Brain herniation and central respiratory failure were main cause of death, and they have independent correlative risk factors.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the mutation in serum lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2) Ile198Thr, Val279Phe and cerebral infarction in Chinese Han population of Jiangsu Province. Methods One hundred fifty patients with cerebral infarction and 100 healthy controls in Chinese Han population of Jiangsu Province were recruited. The correlation between Val279Phe and Ilel98Thr mutation in Lp-PLA2 gene and cerebral infarction was analyzed using polymerase chain reaction and denaturing high performance liquid chromatography. Results The Val279Phe genotype and the mutant allele frequency in the cerebral infarction group were significantly higher than those in the control group (χ2 were 6. 31and 5. 32, respectively, all P <0. 05), and there was no significant difference between the Ile198Thr genotype and the mutant allele frequency in the control group (χ2 were 0. 039 and 0. 037, respectively, all P >0. 05). Conclusions The Val279Phe mutation in Lp-PLA2 gene may be a genetic risk factor for cerebral infarction in Chinese Han population of Jiangsu Province.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
It is necessary to build a three-dimensional human body model to display the position and track the route of a micro device inside the human body exactly. The key is to construct a three-dimensional human body model according to the patient characteristic. This paper gives a simple way to build the personal geometric model based on the OpenGL programming in the Visual Basic environment. It is proved that the method contributes to the realtime interactive operation to change the model character according to the individual parameter.

OBJECTIVE:To determinate the contents of quercetin and kaempferol in Platycladus orientalis carbonisatus by RP - HPLC.METHODS:The determination was performed on Lichrospher C_(18)(250 mm?4.6 mm,5?m) with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.2%phosphoric acid solution(55:45) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min~(-1).The column temperature was set at 25℃and the detection wavelength was set at 368 nm.RESULTS:The linear ranges of quercetin and kaempferol were 0.24~1.68?g(r =0.999 9) and 0.052~0.624?g(r = 0.999 8),respectively.The average recovery rates of quercetin and kaempferol were 100.91%(RSD = 0.80%,n = 6)and 99.59%(RSD = 1.07%,n = 6),respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is simple, accurate, reproducible, and applicable for the quality control of Platycladus orientalis carbonisatus.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2003;20(1):129-131
This paper introduces a kind of pocket blood pressure holter based on handhold personal computer. The measurement of blood pressure is controlled by ultralow power consumption MCU. The system configures interface circuit with handhold personal computer. The BP data can be stored, displayed, analysed and transmitted by handhold personal computer. The measurement parameters can be modified. The hardware is made up of three units: simulation circuit unit, intelligent control unit and interface circuit unit. Every unit structure and its principle are presented. The software of obtaining the BP data and communication with handhold personal computer are also illuminated. The system possesses the characters of portability, intelligence, convenience, high precision, ultralow power consumption and stable capability. It is possible to become an ideal blood pressure monitor in family.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;25(5):1213-1216
Feedback is an important way of information transmission in motor function output. Movement-related information can be transmitted as proprioceptive, haptic, visual and/or audial information to the central nervous system for control and modification of the temporal and spatial precision of motor output. Here presented is a systematic discussion on the principle, technique and effect for some typical motor function rehabilitation methods such as treatment based on EMG feedback, robot-aided movement therapy, high-level perceptional feedback and motor training effect with 3-D virtual reality environment.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2010;26(2):374-378
AIM: To study the distribution of C46T polymorphism of factor Ⅻ(FⅫ) in Chinese Han population and the association of the polymorphism with coronary artery disease(CAD) and acute coronary syndrome(ACS). METHODS: Selected coronary angiography was performed in 168 CAD patients and 210 controls. Genetype of FⅫ was typed by mutagenically separated polymerase chain reaction assay(MSPCR). RESULTS: FⅫ allelic frequencies of C and T were 29.8%, 70.2% and 31.4%, 68.6% in CAD and controls, respectively(P>0.05). Genetype distribution was in accordance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The frequency of CC, CT, TT in CAD and control was 8.7%, 40.5%, 50.0% and 5.2%, 52.6%, 42.2%. The association between FⅫ genetype and CAD(χ~2=6.393, P<0.05) was observed. As compared with the CC group, the CT genetype was a protective factor for CAD(OR 0.43, 95% CI 0.19-0.97). When compared to stable coronary artery disease, the frequency of TT genetype is significant less in ACS group(45.0% vs 62.5%, χ~2=4.200, P<0.05). The distribution of genetype in C46T was no significant difference among the numbers of stenosed coronary artery. CONCLUSION: The C46T polymorphism of FⅫ is association with CAD in Chinese Han population. The C→T mutation may be a protective factor against CAD and ACS.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2002;19(4):657-675
The compression of medical image is the key to study tele-medicine & PACS. We have studied the statistical distribution of wavelet subimage coefficients and concluded that the distribution of wavelet subimage coefficients is very much similar to that of Laplacian distribution. Based on the statistical properties of image wavelet decomposition, an image quantization algorithm is proposed. In this algorithm, we selected the sample-standard-deviation as the key quantization threshold in every wavelet subimage. The test has proved that, the main advantages of this algorithm are simple computing and the predictability of coefficients in different quantization threshold range. Also, high compression efficiency can be obtained. Therefore, this algorithm can be potentially used in tele-medicine and PACS.
