Hepatocyte growth factor ( HGF),a multifunctional cytokine, plays a biological role through acting on the cell surface transmembrane receptor c-Met.The growth, invasion and metastasis of many tumors are associated with the abnormalities of HGF-c-Met signaling pathway.Studies found that HGF and its receptor c-Met have close relations with the occurrence, metastasis, invasion and prognosis of multiple myeloma.

Objective To investigate the effects of different cell cycles and their regulating genes on apoptosis of mononuclear-macrophages induced by Leptospira interrogans. Methods The diversity and alteration of cell cycles of murine mononuclear-macrophage line(J774A. 1 ) and human monocyte line(THP-1 ) before and after infected with L. interrogans serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae serovar Lai strain Lai were detected using Cell Cycle Stain Kit plus flow cytometer. The cell cycle synchronized J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells were generated and then identified by using different cell cycle blocking agents and flow cytometer. By using Annexin V/PI Detection Kit combined with flow cytometer, the rates of early-apoptosis and late-apoptosis/necrosis in the synchronized and non-synchronized J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells after infection with L. interrogans strain Lai were determined. Several real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCRs were performed to the changes of mRNAs levels of p21, p27, p53, c-myc and cycA genes that associated with cell cycle and apoptosis in J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells before and after infected with L. interrogans strain Lai. Results There were G1, S and G2/M phases in both the non-infected normal J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells. On the contrast, the majority of infected J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells were stagnated at G1 phase, but the amount of S phase THP-1 cells was elevated while that of S phase J774A. 1 cells was not(P <0.05). No remarkable early-apoptosis in both the infected G1 phase J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells was found, whereas the rates of early-apoptosis and late-apoptosis/necrosis in the infected M phase J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells were significantly increased (P <0.05 ). Additionally, late-apoptosis / necrosis rate in the infected G1 phase THP-1 cells (P < 0.05 )that not found in the infected G1 phase J774A. 1 cells. Compared to the non-infected cells, the p21 mRNA levels in the infected J774A. 1 and THP-1 cells were significantly elevated(P <0.05), and the c-myc and p27 mRNA levels in the infected J774A. 1 cells and the cycA mRNA level in the infected THP-1 cells were also higher than those in both the non-infected cells ( P < 0.05 ). Conclusion Different cell cycles and their regulating genes have a role to affect the apoptosis of human and murine mononuclear-macrophages caused by L. interrogans with a diversity of cell line origins.

Objective To study the effects of density, phosphorous(P),and nitrogen(N)fertilizers on yield and quality of Andrographis paniculata. Methods Randomized block design in yield was used and HPLC was used to analyze the content of andrographolide and dehydroandrographolide. Results Plant height, fresh weight, dry weight, content of dehydroandrographolide were influenced significantly by density. The quality character and economic yield of content of andrographolide, dehydroandrographolide, total content of both andrographolide and dehydroandrographolide were significantly influenced by P nutrition. The economic yield of dry weight, content of andrographolide and dehydroandrographolide, and total content of both andrographolide and dehydroandrographolide were influenced significantly or extreme significantly by N nutrition.P and the interaction of P and N fertilizer extremely influenced the economic yield. The relative influences between plant weight and dry weight was extremely significance, that between quality character and quality character, that between quality character and economic yield were significant or extremely significant. Conclusion When planted with 1.8?105 /hm2,fertilizered with P2O5 540 kg/hm2 and pure N 225 kg/hm2,the hightest economic yield is gained.

Objective To evaluate the treatment of gastroentero-pancreatic neuroendcorine neoplasms with liver metastasis. Methods Two gastroentero-pancreatic neuroendcorine neoplasms with liver metastases treated at Anhui Provincial Hospital Affliated of Anhui Medical University were analyzed retrospectively. Results In first patient liver metastases from duodenal papilla neuroendocrine neoplasm was treated by four courses of TACE until the liver metastases completely disappeared. The patient then underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy to eradicate the primary tumor. The patient was followed up for 2 years and was doing well.In second patient, liver metastasis, noted four years after distal pancreatectomy for a neuroendocrine tumor, was initially managed by high dosage of octreotide and sunitinib. After these attempts failed, the patient received a liver transplantation four years ago and was followed up until March 1, 2015 without tumor recurrence. Conclusion Liver metastasis of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendcorine neoplasms responds positively to liver transplant with pretty good prognosis.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;25(1):212-219
Subretinal prosthesis is one kind of retinal prosthesis, which means that a microimplant based on MEMS technology is inserted in the subretinal space to stimulate the optic nerve and elicit an electrical-evoked response on the cortical region. The subretinal implant is made up of extraocular part and intraocular part. As an important part, the latter consists of accessorial setting and stimulation chip that contains microphotodiode array (MPDA) and microelectrodes. The paper main body is made up of four parts. Firstly significance of the retinal prosthesis is given out; secondly fundamentals on both in retina physiology and retinal prosthesis theory are introduced simply. Then the key segment about the subretinal microimplant is presented in detail. In the third segment, first of all is its design concept, the second is fabrication of MPDA which consists of several parts. First is microscopic configuration, electric prototype schematic and chip image CMOS. The second is detailed fabrication flow with several special materials. Then is situation of its dimension. The fourth segment presents challenge and outlook.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;25(4):954-957
The energy supply for the stimulation arrays is the key component in retinal implants. Usually, the thin film solar cell is used to supply energy, but it can not supply enough stimulation power. One of the general idea of incident energy supply is radio frequency (RF) circuit. Another method is to convert near infrared (NIR) radiation and enable retina cell stimulation. In this paper, firstly, we aim at listing these two energy supply methods, and introduce the characteristics of RF circuit and NIR conversion method. Especially, we present the design procedure in detail. The next part is a discussion on the advantage and disadvantage of adopting these two methods. At last, we explicate the new research and application of the energy supply for the use as retinal implants, and we envisage the future.

Chinese Journal of Surgery 2017;55(10):746-750
Objective:
To investigate the effects of modified three-step procedure for anatrophic nephrolithotomy in the treatment of complex staghorn renal calculi.
Methods:
A total of 22 patients with complex staghorn renal calculi between June 2013 and June 2016 at Department of Urology in Guangzhou General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command were retrospective analyzed. There were 13 males and 9 females, ranging from 35 to 62 years old with mean age of 47 years. There were 17 patients with dull pain, and 5 patients who were found through physical examinations. Kidney calculi located in left kidney in 15 patients, right kidney in 7 patients. All patients were treated with modified three-step procedure for anatrophic nephrolithotomy. The operation time, blood loss, time of intraoperative renal ischemia, and postoperative complications were recorded. Serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), β2-microglobulin(β2-MG), diseased side glomerular filtration rate(GFR) , and renal cortical thickness of the diseased kidney in preoperative and postoperative were compared. The clinical data were compared by paired sample
