Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of notifiable infectious diseases reported in Zhejiang Province in 2020 for prevention and control.
Methods:
Data of notifiable infectious diseases reported in Zhejiang Province in 2020 were extracted from China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention. The incidence and death of notifiable infectious diseases were analyzed and compared with the averages from 2015 to 2019; then the characteristics of some key diseases such as coronavirus disease 2019 ( COVID-19 ), influenza and other infectious diarrhea were summarized.
Results:
Totally 487 271 cases of 30 kinds of infectious diseases were reported. The incidence and mortality rate was 832.94/100 000 and 0.615 4/100 000, which were 7.05% and 14.60% lower than the average value of 2015-2019.The weekly morbidity of Class A and Class B infectious diseases fluctuated between 1.24/100 000 and 3.68/100 000, and hit the bottom in the sixth to eighth week. The morbidity of Class C infectious diseases was 154.19/100 000 in the first week, then dropped to 4.83/100 000 in the second to sixth week and maintained at a low level. High morbidity of infectious diseases were reported in Hangzhou ( 1 412.62/100 000 ), Jinhua ( 960.35/100 000 ) and Ningbo ( 921.25/100 000 ). The morbidity of class C infectious diseases in Hangzhou was 1 248.80/100 000, which was far higher than that of other ten prefecture-level cities. The diseases with high reported morbidity were influenza (438.45/100 000), other infectious diarrhea (140.29/100 000 ), hand-foot-and-mouth disease ( 99.64/100 000 ), pulmonary tuberculosis ( 41.92/100 000 ), syphilis (41.37/100 000) and viral hepatitis ( 30.48/100 000 ). More deaths were reported in AIDS and pulmonary tuberculosis, and the mortality were 0.482 1/100 000 and 0.116 2/100 000. A total of 1 306 confirmed cases, 302 asymptomatic infections and 1 death of COVID-19 were reported.
Conclusion
In 2020, the incidence rate of notifiable infectious diseases in Zhejiang decreased compared with the average value of 2015-2019. Pulmonary tuberculosis, syphilis and hepatitis B still have high morbidity, and the COVID-19 epidemic spread widely. The morbidity of some respiratory infectious diseases and imported infectious diseases have dropped significantly compared with previous years.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidases (NOXs) are the major enzymatic source of reactive oxygen species (ROS). NOX2 and NOX4 are expressed in the heart but its role in hypoxia-induced atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) secretion is unclear. This study investigated the effect of NOX on ANP secretion induced by hypoxia in isolated beating rat atria. The results showed that hypoxia significantly upregulated NOX4 but not NOX2 expression, which was completely abolished by endothelin-1 (ET-1) type A and B receptor antagonists BQ123 (0.3 µM) and BQ788 (0.3 µM). ET-1-upregulated NOX4 expression was also blocked by antagonists of secreted phospholipase A2 (sPLA2; varespladib, 5.0 µM) and cytosolic PLA2 (cPLA2; CAY10650, 120.0 nM), and ET-1-induced cPLA2 expression was inhibited by varespladib under normoxia. Moreover, hypoxia-increased ANP secretion was evidently attenuated by the NOX4 antagonist GLX351322 (35.0 µM) and inhibitor of ROS N-Acetyl-D-cysteine (NAC, 15.0 mM), and hypoxia-increased production of ROS was blocked by GLX351322. In addition, hypoxia markedly upregulated Src expression, which was blocked by ET receptors, NOX4, and ROS antagonists. ET-1-increased Src expression was also inhibited by NAC under normoxia. Furthermore, hypoxiaactivated extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) and protein kinase B (Akt) were completely abolished by Src inhibitor 1 (1.0 µM), and hypoxia-increased GATA4 was inhibited by the ERK1/2 and Akt antagonists PD98059 (10.0 µM) and LY294002 (10.0 µM), respectively. However, hypoxia-induced ANP secretion was substantially inhibited by Src inhibitor. These results indicate that NOX4/Src modulated by ET-1 regulates ANP secretion by activating ERK1/2 and Akt/GATA4 signaling in isolated beating rat hypoxic atria.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the correlation between the interleukin-17 (IL-17) level of peripheral blood and aggression of bipolar mania.
METHODS:
Thirty-six patients of bipolar mania were selected as experimental group by DSM-IV-TR and received treatment with quetiapine and lithium. Thirty-six healthy volunteers with similar age and gender were selected as control group. The level of IL-17 at baseline in each group and the level of IL-17 in the experimental group after treatment for 2, 4 and 8 weeks were detected by ELISA.
RESULTS:
The level of IL-17 in experimental group at baseline, after treatment for 2 and 4 weeks were all significantly higher than that in control group. After 8 weeks treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). After 2, 4 and 8 weeks treatment, the total score and aggression score of Young Mania Rating Score (YMRS) were significantly lower than the baseline level (P < 0.05). In experimental group, the level of IL-17 was positively correlated with the two scores of YMRS at baseline (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
Bipolar mania may be related to the up-regulation of IL-17. The level of IL-17 is related to the severity of manic symptoms at baseline, especially aggression symptom.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the fracture patterns, operative procedures and clinical results of open reduction and internal fixation via a posterior approach to treat posterior fractures of tibial plateau.
METHODSFrom June 2008 to February 2011, 8 patients with posterior tibial plateau fractures treated with posterior approach, were reviewed retrospectively. There were 5 males and 3 females, with an average of 41.1 years ranging from 23 to 55. Of the 8 cases, 5 cases were caused by traffic accidents, 3 caused by fall. Two cases of posterior coronal fractures combined with avulsion of posterior cruciate ligament and 1 case of posterolateral fractures associated with collapse fractures was treated via a S-shaped approach, 2 cases of posteromedial fracture via a posteromedial reversed L-shaped approach, another 3 cases of complex fractures involving anterior and posterior of tibial plateau, and metaphsis via a posteromedial reversed L-shaped approach combined with anterolateral approach. Fractures with articular surface collapse were applied with bone grafting.
RESULTSAll the 8 cases were followed up for 8 to 39 months (means 20 months). All cases had attained bone union, the time of bone healing was 14.5 weeks in average ranging from 11 to 21 weeks. No infection, no blood vessel or nerve injuries and loosening or breakage of screw were found. There were no significant differences about the tibial plateau angle (TPA) and the posterior slope angle (PA) on radiographies between immediately after operation and 6 months after operation. According to the Rasmussen functional scoring, the results were excellent in 4, good in 3, fair in 1. Radiologic results were graded with the Rasmussen score to evaluate the reduction of the fracture, the scores at last followed-up was 14 to 18 scores (means 17.25), the results were excellent in 6, good in 2.
CONCLUSIONPosterior S-shaped or L-shaped approach can facilitate the reduction and fixation with good exposure for posterior fractures of tibial plateau.

OBJECTIVETo establish the BGC-823/WTX-EGFP gastric cancer cell line with stable expression of Wilms tumor gene on the X chromosome (MTX) for functional analysis of WTX gene.
METHODSThe full-length WTX cDNA was amplified from human embryonic kidney 293FT cells and cloned into the pEGFP-N1 vector containing the reporter gene of green fluorescence protein. The recombinant pEGFP-WTX expression vector, after digestion by restriction enzyme to identify the size of target gene fragment, was transfected into 293FT cells and the expression of fluorescent reporter gene was observed under fluorescence microscope. pEGFP-WTX vector was transfected into human gastric cancer BGC-823 cell line to establish BGC-823/WTX-EGFP cell line stably expressing WTX. Quantitative RT-PCR and immunocytochemical staining were used to detect the expression of WTX in both BGC-823/WTX-EGFP and control BGC-823 cells.
RESULTSThe recombinant pEGFP-WTX plasmid was successfully constructed and verified by PCR and sequencing. The mRNA and protein expressions of MTX were significantly increased in BGC-823/WTX-EGFP cells as compared with those in the control cells.
CONCLUSIONThe full-length WTX expression vector (pEGFP-WTX) and BGC-823/WTX-EGFP gastric cancer cell line have been successfully established to facilitate further functional study of WTX gene.
