Objective: The bioactivity of four podophyllotoxin analogues were tested against 3rd instar larvae of Culex pipiens pallens and 5 h instar larvae of Pieris rapae L.Methods:WHO bioassay and leaf-dlpping method. Results: ①Deoxypodophyllotoxin and ?-apopicropodophyllotoxin exhibited toxicity(against) Culex pipiens pallens,and their LC_(50) were 0.001 48 and 0.001 68 g/L,respectively.②All the four podophyllotoxin analogues displayed inhibitory effect on the growth and development against Culex pipiens pallens,their pupation rates were delayed comparing with control.③Deoxypodophyllotoxin,?-apopicropodophyllotoxin and Podophyllotoxin exhibited toxicity against Pieris rapae L,the LC_(50) 96 h after treatment were 0.045 4?0.078 2 and 0.159 7 g/L,respectively.④All the four podophyllotoxin analogues showed antifeedant activity against Pieris rapae L,their AFC_(50)were 0.016 1,0.018 7,0.039 4 and(0.273 9) g /L,respectively.⑤All four podophyllotoxin analogues displayed inhibitory effect on the growth and development against Pieris rapae L,but the extent of each compound were very different. Conclusion: Based on the data obtained in this investigation,it is possible that the dissimilarity in the structure of the analogues leads to their different bioactivity.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the latency of posture evoked response of normal lower limb muscle in different stimulations and explore its influencing factors. METHODS: The normal lower limb was induced to produce postural evoked response by the dynamic posturography through two kinds of perturbations, the supporting surface rotation stimulation (Toes-up and Toes-down) and the horizontal perturbation stimulation (Forward and Backward). The latencies of tibialis anterior muscle and gastrocnemius muscle were recorded by surface electromyography acquisition system. The differences of the left and right limb, gender and height on the latency of postural evoked response were analyzed. RESULTS: (1) Under the Toes-up and Backward perturbation, the latency of tibialis anterior muscle was longer than gastrocnemius muscle; under the Toes-down and Forward perturbation, the latency of gastrocnemius muscle was longer than tibialis anterior muscle. (2) The latencies of left limb and right limb had no significant difference. (3) The latency in male was longer than that in female. (4) The latency gradually increased with the increase of height. CONCLUSION In the postural evoked response, different perturbations, gender and height have significant impacts on the latency of posture evoked response of lower limb muscle. However, the effect of height and gender should be not considered referring to the same individual.

Objective To explore the influence of the comprehensive and continuous management on the quality improvement of medical equipment in the operation room.Methods The"Five in One"mode,which consisted of organization scheme, regulations implementation, operation training, utilization supervision and maintenance, was applied in an observation group,and a control group was established with conventional management mode.The two groups were compared in the times per week of medical equipment utilization, maintenance and hidden risks elimination, the incidence rates of failures and adverse events as well as the medical staffs'satisfaction.Results The observation group had the times per week of medical equipment utilization and hidden risks elimination significantly more than those of the control group, while the times in a week of medical equipment maintenance,failures and adverse events less statistically(P<0.05).The medical staffs' satisfaction in the observation group was enhanced obviously when compared with that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The new"Five in One"mode is effective in solving the problems that occur when the old decentralized mode is adopted for medical equipment management in the operation room. Objective To study the prevalence of food intolerance and to explore its related factors among adult health check-up receivers.Methods A total of 863 adults who took physical examinations in our hospital from April to October 2011 were enrolled in this investigation.Height,body weight and blood pressure were measured,and serum IgG level was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results The total positive rate of food intolerance was 73％,and the leading intolerance items were crab (40.1％ ),egg (29.8％ ),cod fish ( 21.6％ ),milk ( 20.0％ ) and soybean ( 14.4％ ).Females showed significantly higher prevalence of food intolerance than males.Various positive rate of milk or soybean intolerance was found in different age groups.No correlations of serum specific IgG with body mass index and systolic or diastolic blood pressure were observed.In logistic regression analysis,the odds ratio of food intolerance of women was 1.67 ( 95 ％ confidence interval 1.190 to 2.607 ).ConclusionsThe prevalence rate of food intolerance was high.The risk for food intolerance was significantly increased in women.Specific IgG antibody detection may help to early prevent and diagnose food intolerance-related diseases.

Objective To establish the ischemic precondition ([PC) model of PC12 cell line in vitro, and to explore the effect of nitric oxide (NO) on the IPC cerebral protection. Method PC12 cells were cultured and used for producing the model of ischemie precondition by the way of oxygen-glucose deprivation. Twenty dishes of cells were randomly divided into four groups (5 dishes for each group): control group, ischemic precondition group (IPC),non-ischemic precondition group (NIPC) and L-NAME treatment group (L-NAME). In control group, the cells were in-cubated with low glucose (<1 g/L) and2% FBS medium in normal oxygen; in IPC group, the cells were administrated with oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) for 6 hours, and then subjected with reperfuaion before OGD 15 hours; in NIPC group, the cells were treated the same as control group for 6 hours, and then subjected with reperfusion before OGD 15 hours; in L-NAME group, the cells received L-NAME (1 mmol/L) and cocultured for 30 minutes before OGD 6 hours, and then received the same treatment as the IPC group. To test whether the model was established, metabolic rate of MIT, LDH release were measured and the apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry following oxygen-glucose deprivation 15 hours. The activity of nitric oxide synthases (NOS) was as-sessed by biochemical assay. One-way ANOVA and LSD multiple comparison test were used to analyze differences among different groups, and P<0.05 was considered different. Results Compared with NIPC group, the metabolic rate of MTT increased (94.9%±35.1%, P<0.05), while LDH release and the cell apoptotic rate decreased significantly in IPC group (279.1%±28.1%, P<0.03). Compared with control group(100.0%± 13.5%),the activities of NOS increased both in NIPC and IPC groups (390.0%±14.6%, P<0.01;126.3% ±10.6%, P<0.01). Moreover, the apoptosis rates in each group (control group, IPC group, NIPC group and L-NAME group) were 5.90, 8.73, 38.62 and 11.73%,respectively. Conclusions IPC reduces the death and apoptosis rate of PC12 cell after oxygen-glucose deprivation injury. NO might be involved, but it is not the only factor.

Objective To investigate the relationship between portal vein pressure and liver regeneration after 90% portal branch ligation in rats.Methods Forty-five male SD rats underwent 90% portal branch ligation (including 5 rats underwent sham operation),and then the changes of portal vein pressure and weight of unligated hepatic lobes were detected.The morphological changes of hepatocytes of the unligated hepatic lobes were observed under a light microscope.Proliferative cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)index was detected by immunohistochemistry,and hepatocyte apoptosis of the unligated hepatic lobes by TUNEL method.All data were analyzed by Pearson rank correlation analysis and t test.Results Thirty-eight out of 40 rats survived(95%).The ligated hepatic lobes diminished progressively,whereas the unligated hepatic lobes regenerated.Preoperative portal vein pressure was(9.1±1.8)cm H_2O(1 cm H_2O=0.098 kPa),and it was increased significantly shortly after the ligation and reached (15.8±2.7)cm H_2O 12 hours later(t=6.847,P＜0.05).The portal vein pressure decreased from(13.6±2.3)cm H_2O at day 1 to(9.3±2.0)cm H_2O at day 28.Preoperative positive PCNA index was 7%±3%,which was significantly lower than 14%±5%at postoperative 12 hours,21%±6%at day 3 and 26%±7%at day 5(t=9.129,P＜0.05),and it began to return to normal at day 5.Few apoptotic hepatoeytes were observed in preoperative liver tissue and unligated hepatic lobes.The expression of PCNA in unligated hepatic lobes and portal vein pressure had apositive correlation at postoperative day 1,3,5(r=0.913,0.896,0.908,P<0.05)and a negative correlation at postoperative day 14(r=-0.926,P<0.05).Conclusions The regeneration of hepatocytes in unligated hepatic lobes is activated after 90% portal branch ligation,and the regenerated liver compensates the weight loss of the ligated hepatic lobes.Liver is regenerated mainly by speeding hepatocyte proliferation rather than reducing hepatocyte apoptosis.Changes of portal vein pressure may play an important role in liver regeneration.

Objective To explore the effect of psychological behavioral intervention for the parents of the inpatients with schizo-phrenia .Methods 76 firstly hospitalized cases of schizophrenia were randomly divided into the psychological behavior intervention group and the routine group with 38 cases in each group .The parents in the intervention group were implemented the psychological behavior intervention .All patients were assessed with the Family Concern Index Questionnaire (APGAR) ,the Brief Psychiatric Rat-ing Scale(BPRS) and Inpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation Outcome Scale (IPROS) .Results The obtained family support level in the intervention group was significant higher than that in the routine group (P<0 .01);the scores of BPRS and IPROS in the interven-tion group were significantly lower than those in the routine group(P<0 .01);the total APGAR scores were negatively correlated with the total BPRS scores(r= -0 .496 ,P<0 .01) and the total IPROS scores(r= -0 .453 ,P<0 .01) .Conclusion The psycho-logical behavior intervention conduces to guide the parents of firstly hospitalized inpatients with schizophrenia to provide the effec-tive family support to the patients for promoting their rehabilitation .

AlM:To study the refractive status characteristics aftser cataract surgery and the correlation between preoperative anterior chamber depth ( ACD) and refractive status.METHODS: Ninety-six cases of patients with cataract were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in phacoemulsification group were treated with phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens ( lOL ) implantation while the patients in small incision group were treated by small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with lOL implantation. Changes in ACD and postoperative refractive status and refractive fully corrected value were counted and the correlation of them were analyzed .RESULTS: ACD of the phacoemulsification group s deepened 0. 74mm while that of the small incision group deepened 0. 78mm after treatment and there was no significant difference (P>0. 05). After operation, the ACD of two groups significantly deepened ( P<0. 05 ). The postoperative visual acuity of two groups were significantly better than the uncorrected visual acuity of two groups (P<0. 05). The postoperative refraction of two groups patients were mainly 0 ~ +1. 0D ( 41. 67% and 54. 16%) and+1. 25~+2. 0D (43. 75% and 33. 33%) (P>0. 05). CONCLUSlON: ACD is significant deepened after operation. Surgeon needs full consideration of changes to improve the refractive lOL calculation accuracy.
