ObjectiveTo investigate the association of phosphorylation of mammalian target protein of rapamycin (pmTOR) expression with glioma malignancy grades, and the correlation of pmTOR expression with Survivin and Ki-67,which represent tumor cell anti-apoptosis ability and reproductive activity.MethodsImmunohistochemistry EliVision method was employed to detect the expression of pmTOR,Survivin and Ki-67 in paraffin tissues from 87 patients with glioma (grade Ⅰ - Ⅱ 27 cases, grade Ⅲ24 cases and grade Ⅳ 36 cases). The association between positive expression rate, level of pmTOR and malignancy grades, and the correlation of its expression level with Survivin and Ki-67 were further evaluated. Results There was no significant difference in the positive expression rate of pmTOR among grade Ⅰ - Ⅱ(77.8%,21/27),grade Ⅲ(75.0%,18/24) and grade Ⅳ (72.2%,23/36) (P > 0.05).However,the significant association between pmTOR expression level and malignancy grades was observed. The expression from 87 patients with glioma was significantly positively correlated with Survivin and Ki-67 expression level (r =0.858,P < 0.01 ;r =0.708,P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsThe expression level of pmTOR is associated with malignancy grades, tumor cell anti-apoptosis ability and reproductive activity.pmTOR may be served as a useful marker for predicting the biological behavior of glioma and a useful target for gene therapy.

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonulcleoprotein(hnRNP)plays a variety of roles in pre-mRNA splicing, nuclear export of mRNA and turnover. It is reported that hnRNP not only takes part in regulating the development of neuron and glial cells, but is closely related to various central nervous system diseases. This paper reviewed the structure, function and the role of hnRNP in the central nervous system in order to provide new insight into the molecule mechanism of nervous system diseases.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To evaluate the value of lymphoscintigraphy in diagnosis of chylous ascites in children. Methods Lymphoscintigraphy was done in 6 cases, computed tomography(CT) was done in 4 cases,X-ray exam was done 42 times. And their video repore were compared. Results Lymphoscintigraphy was done in 6 cases,5 cases′ results were positive which diagnosed chylous ascites, and their leaking positions were also found. Conclusion Lymphoscintigraphy has the qualitative and orientational effect on diagnosis of children with chylous ascites.

Objective To investigate the cause and treatment experience for traumatic renal subcapsular hematoma.MethodsThe data of eleven cases with traumatic renal subcapsular hematoma were reviewed.four cases were caused by external injury, and seven cases were iatrogenic, including four cases of postESWL patients, two cases of post-ureteroscopic lithotripsy patients and one case after percutaneous renal biopsy. The patients were treated with conservative treatment, percutaneous drainage of the hematoma and surgical exploration, respectively. Results Four cases received conservative treatment, six cases received percutaneous drainage of the hematoma, and one case received surgical exploration.Seven of the ten cases who received conservative treatment or percutaneous drainage of the hematoma were continuously followed up for 1 to 3 years. They recovered well without complications such as renal hypertension, renal function impairment, hydronephrosis and renocortical pyogenic infection. One case was performed nephrectomy due to severe trauma and hemorrhage during the surgical exploration.ConclusionTraumatic renal subcapsular hematoma usually occurs after flank abdomen injury, iatrogenic injury such as ESWL,ureteroscopic lithotripsy and percutaneous renal biopsy.CT and ultrasound examination are the major means to diagnose traumatic renal subcapsular hematoma and determine the severity.Optimistic prognosis can be obtained after conservative treatment and percutaneous drainage of the hematoma.Surgical exploration should be avoided as far as possible.

OBJECTIVETo explore a better operative approach to resect complicated pelvic retroperitoneal tumors.
METHODSA total of 28 patients with complicated pelvic retroperitoneal tumors who received surgical resection in our hospital from 2006 to 2010 were included in this study. The surgical operation was assisted with an arc-shaped transperineal incision in front of the apex of coccyx. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, death toll and length of hospital stay of the patients were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTSThe median operation time was 122.5 minutes. The median blood loss was 420 ml, and the median length of hospital stay of the patients was 17.5 days. There was no postoperative death in this group of patients.
CONCLUSIONWith the assistance of this arc-shaped transperineal incision in front of the apex of coccyx, the resection of pelvic retroperitoneal tumors can be effectively improved and the surgery risk is reduced.

Objective To investigate the in-stent restenosis after vertebral artery ostium stenting (VAOS),and to determine the risk factors for in-stent restenosis. Methods Respective analysis of clinical data of 775 cases received VAOS in Xuan Wu Hospital of Capital Medical University from Jan. 2006 to Dec. 2012. Severe stenosis of vertebral artery ostium were diagnosed by DSA,and followed-up by ultrasound. The risk factors were assessed by COX analysis for in-stent restenosis ≥50%. Results This study included 775 patients. Surgical success rate was 99. 87%(n=774),technique success rate was 99. 48%(n=771 ). Two patients had cerebral hemorrhage after operation, one of them was dead. Four patients had cerebral infarction. The mean follow-up period was 12 months. The restenosis rate was 35. 89%(234/652 ). 79. 91% of restenosis occurred within 12 months after operation. COX analysis showed the vessels diameter after stenting was the independent predictors of in-stent restenosis (P<0. 01). The in-stent restenosis rate of drug-eluting stents was lower than metal-bare stents (HR 0. 532,95%CI 0. 397-0. 713,P<0. 01). Conclusion The in-stent restenosis was peculiarly prone to the smaller vessels diameter after VAOS. Drug-eluting stents were superior to metal-bare stents in preventing in-stent restenosis.

OBJECTIVETo observe effect of warming needle moxibustion on pain threshold in the patient of sciatica.
METHODSNinety cases were randomly divided into 3 groups, 30 cases in each group. The warming needle moxibustion group were treated with warming needle moxibustion at Shenshu (BL 23), Dachangshu (BL 25), Huantiao (GB 30), etc; the western medicine group with oral administration of Nimeisulide; and the acupoint-injection group with injection of 654-2 into the same acupoints as those in the warming needle moxibustion group.
RESULTSThe cured rates were 56.67%, 26.67% and 20.00% in the 3 groups, and the total effective rate were 90.00%, 73.33% and 63.33%, respectively, the therapeutic effect of the warming needle moxibustion group being better than those of other two groups (both P < 0.01). The amplitude of pain threshold increase in the warming needle moxibustion group was higher than those of other two groups (both P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONWarming needle moxibustion can increase pain threshold, improve symptoms and raise quality of life for the patient of sciatica.

Polypore fungi is a cluster of important pharmacological fungi with significant antitumor activity. In recent years, the antineoplastic constituents from polypore fungi have been comprehensively studied. Through investigating the domestic and overseas studied paper, the antitumor active constituents derived from polypore fungi including high molecular weight compounds such as polysaccharides, glycopeptides, glycoproteins, lectins, and lipid soluble low molecular weight compounds such as terpenoids, steroids, phenolics, benzopyranones, were reviewed. In addition, the significance in the exploitation of new drug for antitumor by the application of polypore fungi was discussed at the end of this paper.
