Objective To evaluate the clinical results of biofeedback and pelvic electric stimulation therapy for stress urinary incontinence in women. Methods Totally 36 women with stress urinary incontinence were prospcctively studied by treating with biofeedback and pelvic electric stimulation therapy (MeprasolBIO2001). All the patients were follow-up for 3 months. Results About 70% of the patients were completely dry and 22% reported subjective improved, the recurrence rate at 3 months follow-up was 60%. Conclusion Biofeedback and pelvic electric stimulation therapy is a safe method for treating stress urinary incontinence. It is effective and easy to perform as an outpatient treatment. But the therapy should be performed for a longterm.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(1):50-53
BackgroundMouse has been used in laboratory studies as the model of ocular diseases.Electroretinogram (ERG)is a non-invasive method for primary examination to evaluate retinal function.Though flash ERG has been widely applied in the mouse ocular disease model for the functional assessment of the retinal outer layer, pattern ERG(PERG) is seldom used for inner retinal evaluation.ObjeetiveThe present experimental study was to investigate the recording parameters and method, wave characteristics of PERG and influencing factors in mouse, and to build the foundation for further research. Methods Thirty C57BL/6 mice aged 6 weeks old were included in this research.RETLport ( Roland Consult,Germany) was adopted for the recording of PERG.The positive needle electrode was placed in the cornea, and the reference and earth electrodes were placed under the derma in the cheek and tail. The PERG under different temporal frequencies (0.5,1.0,2.0 and 4.0 Hz),and special frequencies (0.05,0.10,0.20 cpd) were recorded in a photopic environment, and different contrast ratio (95% and 99% ) of stimulator or different transmission bands ( 1-100 Hz,5-30 Hz) in the same temporal frequency and spatial frequency were regulated to analyze the influence on mouse PERG.The use of animals was in compliance to the Regulations for the Administration of Affairs Concerning Experimental Animals by the State Science and Technology Commission.ResultsThe latency of N1 PERG showed a negative N1wave at around 37 ms and positive P wave at about 86 ms in adult mice. The amplitude of N1-P was 2-6 μV.Different spatial frequency, temporal frequency and contrast can affect the final results, and the different temporal frequencies were statistically significant. The wave was stable and the amplitude was unaffected at 5-30 Hz transmission bands with pronounced interference (mean amplitude of N1-P waves were(3.40±0.71),(5.08±0.88),(3.21±1.54),(3.85±1.96)μV in 0.5,1.0,2.0,4.0 Hz,F=7.43,P=0.00).ConclusionsPERG wave from adult mouse is similar to that from human. It is a useful method in evaluating the inner retinal function.Appropriate stimulating parameters are critical for recording.

Objective To study the relationship of urine RBC morphology between UF-100 urine sediment analytic instrument andphase contrast microscope. Methods The UF-100 urine sediment analytic instrument to analyze 500 urine specimens and study the relation-ship of urine RBC morphology between urine sediment analytic instrument and phase contrast microscope. Results The according perceptionof Normocytic,Microcytic and Non-classified RBC between phase contrast microscope and UF-100 urine sediment analytic instrument RBC-info are 91.4%,94.4%,83.3% respectively, the according perception between phase contrast microscope and RBC-P70Fsc are 94.9%,95.7%,94.7% respectively, and the according perception between phase contrast microscope and RBC Fsc-DW are 84.4%,86.8%,90.5% respectively, the specificity of UF-100 and phase contrast microscope in glomerular hematuria and non-glomerular hematuria are84.3%,88.1% and 83.3%,87.9% respectively. Conclusion The results show that the UF-100 urine sediment analytic instrument issimply operating, fast and high accurate, and which can instruct clinical dignose, therapy and prognosis judgement.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(06):-
The cytokines have close relationship with the rejection and infection in organ transplantation. The cytokine gene polymorphism influences the secretion of cytokines. The relationship between the rejection and infection in organ transplantation and some cytokines gene polymorphism is reviewed in this article.

AIMTo investigate the correlation between reversal effect of cepharanthine hydrochloride (CH) on multidrug resistance (MDR) in drug-resistant cell line EAC/ADR and the nuclear transcription factor-KB (NF-KB).
METHODSCytotoxicity was determined by the tetrazolium (MTT) assay in vitro. An EAC/ADR cell homograft model was established to investigate the effect of CH on reversing MDR in vivo. The constitutive activity and activation of NF-KB by drugs were measured by Dot-Enzyme-linked Immune Sorbent Assay (Dot-ELISA).
RESULTSCH was shown to potentiate the cytotoxicity of ADR, a 13- fold reversal effect of resistance was achieved in vitro. In mice bearing EAC/ADR cell homografts, CH was found to prolong the survival time of animals bearing tumor. Increase in life span over control was 75. 37%. In addition, the constitutive activity of NF-KB and activation of NF-KB by chemotherapy were lowered by CH.
CONCLUSIONThe findings suggest that CH is able to reverse drug resistance and its mechanism may be related to suppressing the constitutive activity and activation of NF-KB by drugs.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2002;36(5):327-329
OBJECTIVETo study the epidemiological transition of injuries in Ningxia.
METHODSDemographic and mortality data during 1990s in Ningxia were collected and analyzed for temporal trend with linear regression model.
RESULTSDuring the past decade, mortality of injury raised by 28.22% among the residents in Ningxia and ranked the 3rd place in the causes of deaths. In 1999, the top four leading causes of injury deaths were traffic accident, suicide, drowning and poisoning. Overall injury mortality and mortalities of traffic accident and suicide increased, but mortality of drowning decreased during the past decade. As predicted, suicide will rank the 1st place in the causes of deaths among the residents in Ningxia by 2005.
CONCLUSIONSInjury was one of major risk factors influencing health and death among the residents in Ningxia, with a temporal trend in its incidence. Effective research, prevention and control of traffic accident, suicide, drowning and poisoning should be focused.
