Objective To understand the prevalence situation of common respiratory tract pathogens in Shihezi area to provide reliable basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment Methods The serum samples from the inpatients with acute respiratory tract in‐fection in the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Shihezi University from January to June 2014 were collected and detec‐ted 9 kinds of common pathogens by using the indirect immuno‐fluorescence assay .Results Among 810 serum samples ,the IgM antibody positive detection rate was 32 .35% ,the detection rates of various pathogens from high to low were Mycoplasma pneumon‐iae(MP ,21 .48% ) ,Q fever rickettsia (COX ,8 .8% ) ,legionella pneumophila(LP1 ,5 .18% ) ,Chlamydia pneumoniae(CP ,4 .2% ) ,in‐fluenzaBvirus(INFB,2.22% ),parainfluenzavirus(PIVs,1.24% )andrespiratorysyncytialvirus(RSV,0.50% ).MPinfectionwas dominated by young children ,the detection rate in females was higher than that in males (P<0 .05);majority of COX infection were young adults ,the detection rate in males was higher than that in females (P<0 .05) .Conclusion MP is the main respiratory tract infection pathogen in children and COX is the main respiratory tract infection pathogen among young adults in Shihezi area .

Objective To investigate the feasibility of differentiation between prostate cancer and prostatitis by using metabolic ratios provided by 3D 1H Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI). Methods Metabolic changes were evaluated in 42 voxels with prostate cancer and 30 voxels with prostatitis in the peripheral zone using MRSI. The results were based on the pathologic findings by biopsy. The (choline + creatine)/Citrate (CC/C) ratio and the changes of choline and citrate levels were evaluated in each voxel with cancer or prostatitis, t test was used to determine the power of the CC/C ratio in differentiation between prostate cancer and prostatitis. Results The CC/C ratio for cancer voxels (1.28±0.41) was significantly different from the ratio in the voxles with prostatitis (1.03±0.40), t=6.45, P<0.05, due to greatly increased choline level in the cancer voxels. When CC/C ratio of 0.8 was taken as the criteria for the diagnois of prostate cancer, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 65.5%, 71.4% and 66.7%, respectively. Positive predictive value(PPV)and negative predictive value(NPV) were 90.5% and 33.3%, respectively. The CC/C ratio was higher than 0.86 in 66.7% voxels with prostatitis (20 voxels of total 30 voxels), which mostly depended on the level of choline. When citrate level was used as an auxiliary index to evaluate prostatitis (Cit/norm, Cit≥0.75), the misdiagnosis rate of prostate cancer was reduced to 26.6%(8 voxels of total 30 voxels). Conclusions The metabolic ratio of CC/C can be used to differentiate prostate cancer from prostatitis. The misdiagnosis rate is reduced when citrate is not or slightly decreased relative to normal citrate level (Cit/norm, Cit≥0.75).

Objective To explore the clinical application of dual-soure CT(DSCT) in coronary artery. Methods 51 patients suspected with coronary artery disease underwent both DSCT coronary arteriography and selective coronary angiography(CAG), the DSCTA results were compared with that of CAG.Results DSCT coronary arteriography in 51 patients at any heart rate was successful.Coronary artery branches and part sub-branches were clearly displayed by DSCT angiography.Stenosis or obstruction of 166 coronary artery branchs in 51 patients were showed ,of them,150 branches were confirmed by CAG. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV) and accuracy of DSCTA were 100%, 90%, 90.4%, 100% and 94.8% respectively. Conclusion DSCT is a valuable method in detecting the diseases of coronary artery with lower dose. The accuracy of the DSCT is approximate to the CAG.

Purpose To study the effect of overexpressing either wild type or a familial Alzheimer disease mutant presenilin 1 (mPS1) on tau phosphorylation in neuroblastoma NG-108 cells. Methods Three different plasmids transfected NG-108 cells respectively. Immunostaining and confocal microscopic technique were used to study the distribution of presenilin 1 and phosphorylated tau. Immunoblot test was applied to investigate the change of tau phosphorylation. Results Immunostaining showed that in brain of sporadic Alzheimer disease, PS1 mainly distributed in neuron and partially colocalized with the phosphorylated tau. Immunoblot tests showed that the cells transected either wild type PS1 or mPS1 contained more phorphorylated tau than the control cells. However, MTT test showed no significant difference between mock transfected cells and the wPS1 or mPS1 transfected cells. In addition, after transfection of the constructed PS1-EGFP vector, overexpressed EGFP-PS1 was located at cell surface membrane and subcellular organelles at earlier time at 12 hr, then EGFP-PS1 diffused in cytosol. Immunocytochemical observations demonstrated that some of the PS1-EGFP transfected cells contained more phosphorylated tau protein, which formed aggresome with PS-1-EGFP. When treated with phosphotase inhibitor okadaic acid, in the PS1-EGFP transfected cells accumulated more phosphorylated tau than the un-transfected cells. Conclusions Wild type PS1 is possibly involved in tauopathy in sporadic Alzheimer's disease.
