Objective To explore the cause, diagnosis and treatment of retroperitoneal fibrosis. Methods 5 cases of retroperitoneal fibrosis were respectively treated by moving ureter into abdomen cavity, encapsulating with pediculate omenta and ilel ureter. Results Following-up of 5 cases for 1 to 3 years, all cases had normal renal functions and hydronephrosis were much decreased. Conclusions Intravenous urogenous(IVU),retrograde pyelography(RGP) and computed tomography (CT) are important methods to diagnose the disease. And the treatment method chosen depends on the range, location of ureterostenosis, and whether the ureter is open or not.

Objective To explore the effects of losartan potassium and simvastatin combination therapy on oxidative stress indicators in diabetic patients on peritoneal dialysis through 12 weeks observation. Methods Diabetic patients with end-stage nephropathy (n=80) who were treated with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis were randomly divided into two groups:control group who received routine treatment (n=40), treatment group who were given losartan potassium 50 mg, once per day and simvastatin 20 mg, once every night (n=40). HbA1C, Insulin dosage, Oxidative stress indicators(SOD, GSH-PX, MDA and Hcy)were compared between two groups before and after peritoneal dialysis. Results There was no significant difference of HbA1C between the 2 groups before and after treatment(P>0.05). The insulin doses increased be?fore dialysis in both groups after CAPD treatment. It is lower in the treatment group than that in the control group ( P<0.05). The expression levels of GSH-PX and SOD in treatment group were higher while the expressions of Hcy and MDA were lower after treatment. The expressions of GSH-PX and SOD were higher while the expressions of Hcy and MDA were lower in treat?ment group than those in control group when comparing the same time point(P<0.05). GSH-PX expression level was lower while the expressions of MDA and Hcy were higher after dialysis than those before dialysis in control group ( P<0.05). Con?clusion Losartan potassium combined with simvastatin treatment can improve curative effect and oxidative stress indicators in diabetic patients on peritoneal dialysis.

Myoblast line C_2C_ 12 cells were co-cultured with various concentrations of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). Being induced by GLP-1, myoblast line C_2C_ 12 cells have the potential to differentiate into cells which are able to secrete insulin-like substance.

Objective To explore the construct validity of the Chinese version of Kinesthetic and Visual Imagery Questionnaire (KVIQ)-20 and KVIQ-10 in stroke patients and normal people. Methods From October, 2012, to March, 2014, 60 stroke patients and 60 nor-mal people with matched gender and age participated in this study. They were assessed with the Chinese version of KVIQ-20 and KVIQ-10. The construct validity was investigated with factor analysis. Results Two factors were extracted from KVIQ-20 for stroke patients after vari-max rotation, that accounted for 62.4%of the variance, as well as KVIQ-10 with 67.6%of the variance. Two factors were extracted from KVIQ-20 for normal people with 76.1%of the variance, as well as the KVIQ-10 with 69.6%of the variance. The factors could be named as visual imagery and kinesthetic imagery. Conclusion The Chinese version of KVIQ-20 and KVIQ-10 has good construct validity for assess-ing motor imagery from the dimensions of visual imagery and kinesthetic imagery, both in patients with stroke and normal people.

Objective To investigate the relationship of placental vascular anastomosis and physical development and morbidity of the disease in twin neonates. Methods Fourteen pairs of twin neonates deliveried from Sep.2005 to Aug.2009 were enrolled in Newborn Intensive Care Unit, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. These twins were divided into 2 groups according the conditions of placental vascular anastomosis:significant placental vascular anastomosis group(group A) and no significant vascula anastomosis group(group B).Birth weight, head circumference, length, the morbidity of disease were all investigated in 2 groups.Clinic follow-up included neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA) and children′s development center of China(CDCC).The correlation of neonates placental vascular anastomosis between twin neonates were compared. Results There were statistically significant differences between group A and group B in birth weight, head circumference and body length(t=6.070,5.237,5.784,Pa

Objective To investigate the clinical efficiency of serum cystatin C as a marker of renal function to predict serum trough concentrations of vancomycin. Methods Data on trough concentrations of vancomycin(Cmea ),serum creatinine (Scr)concentrations, cystatin C( Cys C) concentrations were collected from 81 hospitalized patients who received vancomycin therapy. Predicted vancomycin trough concentrations(Cpre )were calculated based on Scr or Cys C concentrations associating with Bayesian forecasting method through NONMEM software. Finally, the correlations and distinctions between Cpre and Cmea were comparatively analyzed. Results There were both correlation between Cpre and Cmea in relation to Scr or Cys C(r = 0. 678,P<0. 01;r=0. 727,P<0. 01). Besides, the errors of mean predictive error(ME),mean absolute error(MAE)and root-mean-square error(RMSE)for Scr was - 5. 79,6. 86,9. 86 μg · mL-1 , respectively, where as the errors for Cys C was - 0. 82,5. 42, 7. 74 μg·mL-1 ,respectively. Conclusion Cystatin C is a good marker of renal function available for predicting serum vancomycin concentrations.
9.Drug-induced anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis
Chinese Medical Journal 2019;132(23):2848-2855
Objective: In recent years,an increasing number of drugs have been proved to be associated with the induction of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody(ANCA)-associated vasculitis(AAV).This article reviews the latest research progress on drug-induced AAV.Data sources: We conducted a comprehensive and detailed search of the PubMed database. The search terms mainly included drug-induced,ANCA,and vasculitis.Study selection: We summarized the original articles and reviews on drug-induced AAV in recent years. The extracted information included the definition, epidemiology, associated drugs, pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of drug-induced AAV.We also focused on the differences between drug-induced AAV and primary vasculitis. Results: The offending drugs leading to drug-induced AAV are almost from pharmacologic categories and we need to be vigilant when using these drugs. The pathogenesis of drug-induced AAV might be multifactorial. The formation of neutrophil extracellular traps is an important mechanism for the development of drug-induced AAV.The clinical features of drug-induced AAV are similar to those of primary AAV.Understanding the difference between drug-induced AAV and primary AAV is helpful to identify drug-induced AAV.Stopping the offending drug at once after diagnosis may be sufficient for those patients with mild symptoms.Immunosuppressive therapy should only be used in patients with vital organs involvement. Conclusions: Patients with drug-induced AAV usually have a good prognosis if they stop using the offending drug immediately.Recent advances in research on AAV are expected to help us better understand the pathogenesis of drug-induced AAV.

Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has a wide range of biological functions in epigenetic, cell cycle, cell differentiation and other life activities, and that affect the development and differentiation of immune cells and the maintenance of homeostasis in the immune system. CD4+ T cell subsets are heterogeneous cells with different functions, including promoting the proliferation and differentiation of T cells, B cells and other immune cells, and coordinating related functions between immune cells. Autoimmune disease (AID) is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by an autoantigen immune reaction. lncRNA and CD4+ T cell subsets are involved in the occurrence and progression of the disease. This article reviews the relationship between lncRNA and the differentiation of AID CD4+ T cell subsets.
