2.Research advances in biomechanical properties and its clinical significance of vitreous liquefaction

Vitreous liquefaction is an age-related degenerative change,which will further alter the physicochemical properties of the vitreous and its surrounding tissues,resulting in various related eye diseases.The principal pathologic changes of that are the gradual depletion of hyaluronic acid and the collapse of collagen fibrillar network,with a series of biomechanical changes in vitreous body.This article reviews biomechanical properties of normal vitreous,the current measurements of these properties,formation mechanism and changes of biomechanics properties of vitreous liquefaction and correlation between synchesis and related ocular diseases,which provide insight into the ideas for the effective reduction and treatment of vitreous liquefaction.

Objective:To investigate the rates of depression and anxiety in female students of a children's normal school Method:919 female students of a children's normal school were collected by stratified cluster sampling, they completed BDI (Beck Depression Inventory), SAS (Zung's self-rating anxiety scale), EPQ, FES (family environment scale) and a self-made inventory on risk behaviors of adolescents Result:The rate of depression was 48 75%, that of anxiety was 16 32% Students of different grades had different rates of depression, but not different rates of anxiety Students with depression had higher N score and P score, and lower E score and less Lying in EPQ than normal control In family environment, the depressed students had poorer cohesion, expressiveness, independence, achievement, intellectual and organization than normal Logistic regression analysis showed depression related to where the students come from (rural or urban), intimacy, dieting, academic achievement and education level of their mother Anxiety related to expressiveness, dieting and drinking within one month Conclusion:Depression and anxiety are so common in female students of children's normal school, which need more attention from mental health professionals

AIM: To investigate the effect and mechanism of 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) in topical treatment on trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis in rats. METHODS: Colitis was induced by intracolonic administration of TNBS and was treated with 5-ASA at the dose of 100 mg?kg -1 for 2 weeks. Normal control group was administrated with normal saline and TNBS control group was treated with TNBS, not with 5-ASA. Macroscopic damage, histological changes and myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity were evaluated. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) level in colonic mucosa were detected by kits. The expression of interleukin-1? (IL-1?) and tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) mRNAs in colonic mucosa was determined by a reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction method. RESULTS: Compared with TNBS control group, the macroscopic and histological changes and MPO activity in 5-ASA treated groups were improved. SOD activity was increased and the level of MDA in colonic mucosa was reduced significantly. The expression of IL-1? and TNF-? mRNAs in colonic mucosa was also decreased significantly. CONCLUSION: 5-ASA enema can significantly ameliorate TNBS-induced colitis in rats via antioxidant mechanism and attenuation of proinflammatory cytokine expression.
7.Relationship between Serum Interleukin-18 and Changes of Heart Function in Children with Viral Myocarditis

8.Advances in the studies on cytokine and chemokine gene polymorphisms associated with uveitis

·Uveitis is an inflammation of any or all parts of the uveal tract including the iris, ciliary body and the choroid. Despite current advances in diagnosis and management, visual loss occurs in 35%-45% of patients with uveitis. The etiopathogenesis of uveitis remains unknown; it may be associated with environmental and immunogenetic factors. Many studies have demonstrated polymorphisms in major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes may determine involvement in uveitis. Recently polymor-phisms in non-MHC genes, including cytokine and che-mokine genes, have been reported to play important roles in the pathogenesis of uveitis. This article reviewed the advances in the studies on cytokine and chemokine gene polymorphisms associated with uveitis.
9.Radiological characters of developmental dysplasia of the hip without dislocation in patients above 13 years old

Objective To investigate the radiological characteristics and the relationships between the parameters by X?ray and direct magnetic resonance arthrography (dMRA) in non?completely dislocated dysplasia hips. Methods We retro?spectively reviewed patients (above 13 years old) with dysplasia hips from August 2009 to August 2012. These patients were classi?fied as Hartofilakidis typeⅠand typeⅡ. 188 patients (274 hips) involved 28 males (30 hips) and 160 females (244 hips), average aged 27.3 years (range 13-47 years). Standard pelvic A?P, bilateral 65° oblique X?rays, and dMRA were conducted in each pa?tient. Lateral central?edge angle (LCE), anterior central?edge angle (ACE), femoral neck?shaft angle (FNSA), and tonnis acetabu?lar index (AI) angle were measured based on the X?ray. The dysplasia hips were classified into 4 grades (GradeⅠ:CE 11°-20° , GradeⅡ:CE 1°-10°, GradeⅢ:CE-9°-0°, and GradeⅣ:CE≤-10°). Femoral neck anteversion angle (FNA), labral tear, labral inversion, and labral cyst was observed on dMRA films. Variance analysis and rank correlation were applied to find the relation?ship between CE grades and the relevant parameters by using SPSS 19.0. Results LCE has negative correlation with AI and grade of osteoarthritis, and has positive correlation with age, ACE. However, there was no relationship between FNSA and FNA. There was significantly different in Shenton's line, labral tear, labral inversion, cartilage lesion, among different grade of LCE. Conclusion LCE is an important parameter used in evaluating for dysplasia hips without complete dislocation. LCE can reflect age of onset, ACE, AI angle and degree of joint damages. Evaluation for the severity of non?completely dislocated dysplasia hips can be conducted according to grades of CE.
10.Release and Percutaneous Penetration of Cyclovirobuxine D Transdermal Patch in Vitro

Objective To explore the release and percutaneous penetration of cyclovirobuxine D patches at different concentrations in vitro. Methods The release curves of cyclovirobuxine D patch in vitro were fitted by ritger-peppas mathematical model, and the patch release mechanism was discussed according to the fitting parameters. At the same time, compared the percutaneous permeability characteristics of 0.25,0.5,1.0,2.0 mg.( cm2 )-1 of cyclovirobuxine D patch by using a modified Franz diffusion cell, with isolated rat skin serving as transdermal barrier. Results Ritger-Peppas model fitting equation for cyclovirobuxine D patch [1.00 mg.(cm2)-1]was: Mt/M=0.964 6 t1.621 6.And the percutaneous penetration curve was best fitted to Higuchi kinetics equation.The drug release rate from the patch matrix was greater than the rate of penetration through the skin, indicating the patch at the time through rat′s skin was a passive diffusion process, and transdermal process was rate-limited by skin. Conclusion Kinetics equation fitting is an effective method for analyzing drug release and permeation behavior of cyclovirobuxine D patch in vitro.
