Objective To assess the quality of life(QOL)in patients with stroke at the acute stage, and to determine whether all the dimensions of the Medical Outcomes Study 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey(SF-36)are applicable to the stroke patients. Methods Fifty stroke patients at the acute stage were studied. The SF-36 was employed to assess the quality of life of the patients, and a self-designed questionnaire was used to record the general information of them. The data obtained from the patients was compared with the Chinese norm reported in literature. We also calculated the percentage of subjects who achieved the lowest possible score(score of 0,floor effect)and the percentage of subjects who achieved the highest possible score(score of 100,ceiling effect). Results The QOL of the acute stroke patients,as reflected by scores with all the dimensions of the SF-36 scale, was significantly reduced when compared with the norm data(P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
Objective To study immunoresponse of SD rats to different dosages of Nogo66 vaccine, and then select the best vaccination concentration. Methods Nogo-66 peptide vaccine plus complete and imcomplete Freund's adjuvant were prepared in concentrations of 50?g/300?l,100?g/300?l,200?g/300?l,400?g/300?l and 800?g/300?l.The vaccines of different concentrations were used to immunize SD rats weekly for 8 weeks, and either complete or imcomplete Freund's adjuvant alone was used as control.Blood was drawn from caudal vein of rats weekly after the first immunization, and the titer of serum special IgG antibody was measured by ELISA.Two animals of every group were sacrificed every four weeks, and the spleens were harvested, and erythrocytes were removed with hypotonic saline. The proliferation rate of the cultured spleen T cells was determined with MTT.Meanwhile the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) was evaluated for all experimental animals. Results The antibody titer of serum specific IgG of all experimental groups elevated quickly since the 4th week after vaccination, and reached the top value at the 8th week, and it then kept stable for 10 weeks. The IgG antibody titer in 200?g/300?l group was significant higher than that in other experimental groups(P

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(14):-
Objective To study the safety and effectiveness of anterior chamber paracentesis, combined with antiglaucomatous medications,in the intraocular pressure control and relief of symptoms of acute primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG).Methods Totally 327 patients with first attack of acute PACG who were admitted in our hospital during July 2000 and October 2006 were collected in this study, and were divided into 2 groups according to whether receiving anterior chamber paracentesis or not(paracentesis group and control).Their clinical data such as sex, age, intraocular pressure(IOP) and visual acuity before hospitalization, types and times of administration of IOP drugs before and after operation, preparative time for operation and postoperative complications were retrospectively analyzed. Results There were 94 out of 327 patients receiving anterior chamber paracentesis, who had faster intraocular pressure control(2.37?1.63 d vs 2.75?2.01 d),and lesser types and dosages and shorter times of IOP drugs, shorter therapeutic time after paracentesis, shorter time to prepare operation, lesser postoperative complications [shallow anterior chamber,12 cases(12.77%) vs 57 cases(24.46%)] and better visual acuity than control.Anterior chamber paracentesis more than one time didn't increase the risk of complications. Conclusion Anterior chamber paracentesis is safe and effective in controlling the intraocular pressure and eliminating symptoms in acute PACG.
7. Dynamic accumulation of biomass and secondary metabolites of Pesudostellaria heterophylla in Guizhou province
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(16):1346-1351
OBJECTIVE: To study the dynamic accumulation of biomass and secondary metabolites from different cultivation forms, reproduced by different modes in different growth periods of Pesudostellaria heterophylla in Shibing district, Guizhou province, in order to provide guidance for variety breeding and rational harvest method of P. heterophyila. METHODS: Taking three cultivation forms and two kinds of breeding materials as the main research subjects, the dynamic accumulation of biomass was periodically recorded with growth period change, and the contents of pseudostellarin B in the roots of P. heterophyila were analyzed by HPLC. RESULTS: The underground biomass in cultivation form of vegetative propagation XZ-1, XZ-2 and XZ-3 reached the highest levels of 9.86, 3.61 and 10.40 g · plant- in early July, late June and the beginning of July, respectively. The content of pseudostellarin B reached the criterion of Chinese Pharmacopoeia only in XZ-1 in early July, which was 0.0213%. In the harvest time, the contents of biomass in XZ-1 and XZ-3 were significantly higher than that in XZ-2, while the contents of pseudostellarin B in XZ-1 and XZ-2 were significantly higher than that in XZ-3. The content of biomass in sexual reproduction material, XZ-1Y, was significantly lower than that in the vegetative propagation one, XZ-1 of the same cultivation form, but the content of pseudostellarin B in XZ-IY was significantly higher than that in XZ-1. CONCLUSION: According to the comprehensive consideration of the contents of biomass and secondary metabolites, the XZ-1 of P. heterophyila has better quality, and it is worth popularizing and being used for variety breeding. The optimal harvest time of Pesudostellaria heterophyila is about 10 days after the plant is withered.
8. Genetic diversity and quality analysis of cultivated Pesudostellaria heterophylla
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2014;45(9):1319-1325
Objective: To study the genetic diversity and medicinal quality of Pesudostellaria heterophylla and to provide a reference for rational utilization on germplasm resources and fine variety breeding of P. heterophylla. Methods: The genetic diversity of the 12 cultivated provenances of P. heterophylla were analyzed by ISSR molecular markers, and Heterophyllin B (HB) in the root of P. heterophylla was analyzed by HPLC. Results: A total of 82 bands were produced by 10 primers, among which 73 bands were polymorphic bands, and the percentage of polymorphic bands (PPL) was 89.02%. The average value of Nei's genetic diversity index (H) was 0.2579, Shannon's information index (I) was 0.3884, genetic differentiation coefficient (Gst) was 0.2741, and the gene flow (Nm) among provenances was 1.3238. Cluster analysis based on genetic identity indicated that 12 provenances could be divided into three groups. There were great differences of HB content among and within provenances. Heterophyllin B content (0.0494%) in provenance 4 was significantly higher than those in the others, and their coefficient of variation (9.51%) was less in this provenance. Conclusion: The high genetic diversity could be attributed to the provenances exchange in different production areas of P. heterophylla and its biological characteristics. Comprehensive consideration of genetic diversity and HB are made, and the provenances 3 and 4 of P. heterophylla have better quality, which are suitable for germplasm conservation and variety breeding.

Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Pesticides, especially chemistry pesticides with high toxicity, high residue, and difficult degradation are a kind of important environment pollutants and pesticide degradation by microorganisms is one of the powerful means to treat pesticide pollution. Many researchers conducted lots of studies on it. Types of pesticide degraders, construction of genetically engineered microorganisms, degrading mechanisms, degradation characteristics, influencing factors, applying effect and so on were summarized in this article. The research trend of degradation of pesticides by microorganisms and problems to be solved were also put forward.
