Objective To discuss the impact on serum interleukin-4 and interleukin-17 in patients with hypertension and early renal damage treated with intermediate frequency If pulse electrical stimulation on acupuncture points. Methods Selected 100 patients diagnosed with early renal damage in hypertension, those were divided into control group and treatment group randomly,50 patients in the control group treated with conventional antihypertensive drugs and symptomatic treatment of diseases, while the treatment group on the basis of conventional therapy plus IF pulse point therapy,20 days after treatment compared serum IL-4 and IL-17 levels. Results Treatment group,serum IL-14 and IL-17 levels were significantly lower than the control group (all P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Shenshu, Mingmen ,Guanyuan and other points by electrical stimulation pulse frequency ,could make IL-4 ,IL-17 and other indicators of early renal damage improve the role, and reduce hypertension early target organ damage, and help reduce pressure and reduce the amount of antihypertensive drugs.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of virulence genes(ply, pspA, nanA, lytA, psaA) among Streptococcus pneumoniae recently isolated from clinical patients. Methods The 133 strains were isolated from patients in three teaching hospitals in Chongqing from 2006 to 2008. Polymerase chain reaction was used to screen for virulence genes (ply, pspA, nanA, lytA, psaA). Results The positive rate of lytA, psaA, ply, nanA and pspA in 133 clinical isolates were 94.7%, 85.0%, 82.7%, 84. 2% and 60.2%, respectively. The positive rates of the lytA, psaA, ply, nanA and pspA genes in 87 common serotypes isolates was 100%, 87.4%, 86.2%, 89.7%, 67.8%, respectively. Conclusion The total positive rates of five virulence genes in the 133 clinical strains were high. The positive rates of five genes in the com-mon serotypes isolates were higher than those in the no-common serotypes. These genes are important virulence genes of Streptococcus pneumoniae. They could be candidates for protein vaccine of Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Objective: To observe the postoperative skeletal changes of mandibular setback via bilateral sagittal ramus split osteotomy (BSSRO) with circummandibular wiring and maxillomandibular fixation. Methods: BSSRO was performed in 14 cases to setback the mandible. The patients were followed up for 6 months by clinical observation and examined with lateral cephalometric radiographs and Schuller's position radiographs before and after surgery. AIM: To study the clinical characteristics of corneal perforation ( CP) .
METHODS:A retrospective analysis in July 1995 to July 2010 the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University diagnosed CP 72 patients ( 72 eyes ) , clinical characteristics of all the patients were analyzed.
RESULTS: The incidence of corneal ulcer perforation rised year by year, the morbidity of male and female was 17:7, the onset age focused on 48 years old. Of 23 industrial workers ( 32%) with clear history of trauma, pathogeny identification results:top two:fungal infection and Acanthamoeba keratitis. A using history of glucocorticoid was found in 10 cases.
CONCLUSION:There are plenty of primary causes of CP such as traumas, fungal infection, Acanthamoeba keratitis, eroded keratitis, etc. CP happens in middle-aged males in Fujian province, most traumas are the causes, the main pathogenic bacteria is fungal infection.

Benign biliary stricture is a challenging problem in hepatobiliary surgery. Benign biliary stricture is associated with major portal vein variation, which is not be found in literatures. A male patient with benign biliary stricture was admitted to the Chinese PLA General Hospital in March, 2010.The stricture was located in the hilar confluence with intrahepatic biliary dilation and hepatolithiasis. The result of computed tomography showed that the hilar biliary confluence was compressed by the left portal vein and right anterior portal vein. The patient was cured after receiving gallbladder interposition, choledocholithotomy and T tube drainage. We suggested that the benign hilar biliary stricture due to portal vein variation may be named as biliary nut-craker syndrome.

To investigate the cellular immunity abnormalities of patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA), peripheral blood lymphocytes subpopulations, interleukin 2 (IL-2) production and natural killer (NK) cell activity were determined in 9 patients with RA. The results showed that there were a remarkable decrease in NK cell activity and poor response to IL-2 stimlulation. IL-2 production and.the expression of membrane-bound IL-2 receptor were increased in RA patients. The percentage of T4 positive cells and the ratio of T4/T8 were also increased in patients with RA. The results indicate that there are severe cellular immunity abnormalities in patients with RA.

Objective To investigate the transcription and protein expressions of chemokines CL16, CL12 and their receptors CR6, CR4 in first-trimester human cytotrophoblast cells and human choriocarcinoma cell line JAR. Methods Transcriptions of CR6, CL16, CR4, CL12 in purified first-trimester human trophoblast cells and JAR line were assessed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR, and protein expressions of CR6, CL16, CR4, CL12 were analyzed in primary cultured villous cytotrophoblasts (VCT), extravillous cytotrophoblasts (EVCT), JAR line and placentas by immunostaining. Results CR6 and CR4 were highly transcribed in primary cultured trophoblast cells with mRNA relative level of 1.12?0.25 and 1.08?0.11 respectively, and their ligands CL16 and CL12 were transcribed moderately with mRNA relative level of 0.89?0.11 and 0.78?0.10 respectively. It was demonstrated that CL16, CL12, CR6 and CR4 were expressed in primary cultured VCT, EVCT, JAR line and placentas by immunostaining. Conclusion The co-expression of CL16/CR6 and CL12/CR4 in trophoblast cells may play a role in the proliferation and differentiation of first-trimester trophoblast cells in a manner of autocrine.
