Objective To search for the normal value and developmental regular rule of motor norve conduction in children. Methods One hundred and fourty-nine children aged from 0 to 14 years old were divided into 7 groups in accordance with age. There were 19 pecrsons aged from 20 to 35 years old in adult group. The motor nerve conduction function of median nerve, ulnar perve, tibial nerve and peroneal nerve of every suhject was determined by nerve evoked potential meter. Results The terminal latency of action potential of every nerve is decreased along with growing up of age before 6 years old and increased after 6 years old. The conduction velocity of ulnar nerve is the fastest, then the peroneal nerve and median nerve, that of tibial nerve is the slowest. Median nerve development quicken after 3 months of birth and approch ulnar nerve at the time of 3 years old. Tibial nerye get into fast development period from 3 months to 1 years old and catch up peroneal nerve. The conduction velocity of every nerve extend to adult level in th period of 3~6 years old. Conclusion The every parameler of nervous conduction has a great difference of age in the period of child, particularly in that of infancy. therefore, the normal values should be set up in accordance with proper age groups. This study shows that it's suitable to divide groups in accordance with new-born, 3 and 6 months, 1, 3 and 6 years old. Adult criterion should be used in the children dbove 6 years old.

Objective:To study the relationship between plasma homocysteine (Hcy),serum folate,Vitamin B12 levels and Vascular dementia (VD).Methods:30 VD patients,58 patients with nondemented cerebral infarction and 30 normal subjects of the same age were recruited in to the study.Their plasma Hcy levels were measured by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC),and the levels of serum folate and Vitamin B12 were also determined by radioimmune assay (RIA).Results:Mean of Plasma homocysteine concentrations were significantly higher in VD group than in the nondemented cerebral infarction group.Which were significantly higher in the nondemented cerebral infarction group than in the normal subjects of the same age.Serum folate levels in the VD group were significantly lower than those in the nondemented cerebral infarction group.Which were significantly lower than those of normal subjects. Conclusion:Hcy may be a new risk factor for the onset of VD.

Objective To develop an embedded system by using time-triggered system and ATmega128.Methods Making use of the minimum system structure of ATmega128,a multitask system, which could be implanted into AVR CPU,was designed based on the singlechip with 8 bits and 51series.Results Time-Triggered Embedded System kept the controlling precision on ms degree and ensured a sensitive and rapid response to keyboard input. Conclusion Software designed by Time-Triggered Embedded System has advantage in real time,so it is applicable to minitype real time control system.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the plasm homocysteine (Hcy) levels and cystathionine β synthase (CBS) T833C gene polymorphism in Xinjiang Kazakh with essential hypertension. Methods 239 Kazak patients with hypertension (hypertension group) and 206 with normotensive (control group) were selected for the study. Amplification Refractory Mutation System (ARMS) was used to analyze the polymorphism of CBS gene T833C, TT, TC and CC genotypes and the various sites of T, C allele frequencies in research group and the control group. Results Plasma of Hcy level was higher in the hypertensive group than those of control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05), and the individual plasma of Hcy with TC gene was higher than that with TT gene. The C allele frequencies was significantly higher in EH group than that in controls in Xinjiang Kazakh population, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). The risk of EH group in individuals carrying TC genetype was 2.39 times higher than in individuals carrying TT genetype (OR = 2.39, 95%CI:1.125 ~5.076, P = 0.02). Conclusion Elevated Hcy level may be a risk factor of Kazakhs hypertension in Xinjiang. The Cystathionine β synthase gene of T833C polymorphism may be associated with essential hypertension in Kazak people in Xinjiang.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(06):-
Objective To study the protection and mechanism of co-administration of vitamin E with coenzyme Q10(CoQ10) to valproate-associated hepatotoxicity in infantal rats. Methods The rat models were established by oral administration of valproic acid(VPA) in ablactation(21 days) Wistar rats,at doses of 500 mg/(kg?d) during 30 days, other groups received the same amount of VPA with phemobarbitone(PB) and co-administration with vitamin E and CoQ10.The changes of liver cell morphology and the blood coagulation test,as well as the contents of succinic dehydrogenase(SDH),cytochrome oxidase(CCO),cytochrome, the levels of glutothione(GSH) and malondial dehyde(MDA) in rat liver mitochondria were detected by chromatometry,HPLC,Oil-Red-O staining and electron microscope, respectively. Results 1.Average content of cytochrome aa3 in liver mitochondria of infantal rats were reduced by 58.80% and(61.80%) because of administration of VPA and VPA added with PB.The protection against the loss of cytochrome aa3 by coadministration of VitE and CoQ10 was obvious. As for activities of SDH and CCO,which affected by VPA and VPA added with PB in rats, were significantly lowered compared with control group(P

Objective To explore the necessities and clinical value of acute intestinal obstruction with com-puted tomography of whole abdomen in over 80 years old patients. Methods 50 patients with acute intestinal obstruc-tion were diagnosed in department of emergency surgery and underwent the abdominal CT examinations. The clinical data,CT and surgery pathology of all patients were compared and analyzed. Results All cases were verified by surgi-cal operation and pathological diagnosis, including colorectal cancer(n =21)and incarcerated abdominal external her-nia(n =21),appendicitis(n =2),adhesive intestinal obstruction(n =2),intestinal volvulus (n =2),and intestinal intussusception(n =1)and stercoral intestinal obstruction(n =1),12 cases were accompanied by bowel necrosis and perforation.12 patients were treated by laparoscope surgery,38 cases by open laparotomy,48 patients acquired good recovery, and 2 cases died from extensive bowel necrosis and multi -organ failure. Conclusion CT examination in whole abdomen could rapidly and accurately diagnose the cause of intestinal obstruction, evaluate complications and risks,so as to provide reasonable treatment choice and time, making patients acquired the effective effects as soon as possible, reducing the bad consequences.

Objective To explore the different influence of antiepileptic drugs(AEDs)at therapeutic levels to the maturation of brain. Methods 180 healthy Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into infant and adult group. Each age group was administered with PB,CNP,VPA,TPM or normal saline respectively in persistent 5 weeks. The steady-state plasma concentrations of AEDs at the experimental dosage were coincided with the range of clinical therapeutic concentrations. After AEDs withdrawed, the effects of AEDs on cognitive function were assessed by Morris water maze and two-way shuttle box at different time points.Body and brain weight were got immediately when the rats were sacrificed.Histological changes of brain were observed by HE staining,Nissl staining and transmission electron microscopy.Results(1) For immature rats,1 day or 14 days after AEDs withdrawed, there were significant differences between groups exposed to PB or CNP and control group in escape response latency(ERL)in the two-way shuttle box.Even after one month ERLs of immature rats receiving CNP((6.05?2.04)s)or PB((5.81? 1.75)s)were still longer than that of untreated controls((4.75?2.43)s,P
