Schwann cells (SCs) have potently neuroprotective and myelinization abilities. They are one of the earliest and the most frequently used cells that are applied to therapeutic studies in spinal cord injury. At present, SCs are usually used as a platform for therapeutic alliance to integrate various interventions. This review will mainly discuss the issues met in therapeutic alliances with SCs for spinal cord injuries, results of various therapeutic alliances with SCs, positive effects of co-transplantation with SCs on neural stem cells, survival, migration of SCs after transplantation and roles of endogenetic SCs in repairing spinal cord injury.

Objective To observe the effect of Yishen Paizhuo Decoction(Decoction for reinforcing the kidney and discharging the turbid)on chronic renal failure(CRF)patients.Methods The 82 CRF patients were randomized into observation group(42 cases) and control group(40 cases).In addition to the routine treatment,the observation group was administered modified Yishen Paizbuo Decoction,and the control group was given coated aldehyde oxystarch.The course of treatment was 6 months for both groups. Changes of clinical symptoms,renal functions,blood fat,and hemoglobin were observed,and the linear regression evaluation and renal survival evaluation were employed to evaluate the development of CRF.Results The improvement of observation group in renal func- tions and blood fat was remarkable with the increased renal survival rate,compared with the control group,the difference was signifi- cant(P

Objective To explore the relationship of the ADAM33 gene Q-1,T2 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in Xinjiang Kazakh and Han population. Methods Peripheral blood samples to extract DNA, and the single nucleotide polymorphisms of Q-1 and T2 in ADAM33 gene were detected by SNaPshot SNP genotyping. Results Case group compared with the control group, frequencies of Q-1 locus genotypes and alleles were significant differences in Kazak (P<0.05). In patient group, there were significant differences in ADAM33 gene Q-1 locus genotypes FEV1% predicted, FEV1/FVC of clinical indicators lung function in Kazak, Han(P < 0.05). Kazak Q-1 locus AA genotype,Han GA genotype than GG genotype were significant difference.Compare Kazak AA genotype,Han GA genotype with GG genotype is more likely to cause COPD in Q-1 locus(P<0.05). In the comparison of the case and control group the two ethnic, there was no significant difference between the frequencies of T2 locus genotypes and the frequencies of Q-1,T2 the alleles (P > 0.05). There were no significant differences in T2 locus genotypes and clinical indicators of lung function FEV1% predicted and FEV1/FVC in patient group (P > 0.05). Conclusion The ADAM33 gene Q-1 locus may be related to the COPD susceptibility in Xinjiang Kazak, Han.

Dermatology and venerology is a clinical discipline characterized by morphology.With the development of the internet and the application of internet in education,the features and advantages of internet teaching are gradually recognized including high flexibility,rich information and good student-teacher interaction.This article focused on the establishment and practice of internet teaching to improve teaching quality.

In 2013 Shanghai took the lead to carry out the specialist standardized training which is common in the international medical education. This paper first gives a picture of the general condition of the standardized training on specialists of obstetrics and gynecology in Shanghai. Then from the perspectives of strategic deployment, department management, clinical skill training and the training of examiners, the paper explores the assessment model in which both the assessment of train-ing process and the scores of the final examination are considered whereas the process assessment is given more weight. This paper is aimed to provide experience and suggestions for the further advance of the specialists standardized training in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Objective To investigate the effect of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on brain injury and inflammatory response after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in rats.Methods Forty-eight malc SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham operation group,ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group,H2S-30 ppm group,and H2S-60 ppm group (n=12 in each group;1 ppm=1 mg/L).The middle cerebral artery occlusion method was used to induce a model of focal cerebral ischemia for 2 h and reperfusion for 24 h.After reperfusion for 24 h,the tape remove experiment was used to perform the nerve function evaluation.2,3,5-triphenyl-tetrazolium chloride staining method was used to measure the percentage of cerebral infarction volume.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the levels of interleukin (IL)-1 β and IL-6.Western blotting was used to detect the expression levels of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1),as well as the transposition activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB).Results Inhalation of H2S could shorten the time required to remove the tape in a dose-dependent manner compared with the I/R group (I/R group vs.H2S 30 ppm group and H2S 60 ppm group:180 s vs.130 [113-157]s vs.110 [87-138] s;P＜ 0.05),reduced the cerebral infarct volume (48.8％ ± 9.1％ vs.23.3 ％ ± 5.1％ vs.17.3 ％ ± 3.5 ％;P ＜ 0.05),downregulated the expression levels of IL-1β (39.53± 6.02 pg/mg protein vs.30.17± 3.46 pg/mg protein vs.22.69± 6.09 pg/mg protein;P ＜0.05) and IL-6 (54.65 ± 10.68 pg/mg protein vs.37.89 ±4.54 pg/mg protein vs.27.00 ±3.08 pg/mg protein;P ＜ 0.05) in ischemic brain tissue,significantly decreased NF-κB nucleus/ cytoplasm ratio (4.40 ± 1.05 vs.3.07 ± 0.82 vs.2.30 ± 0.60;P ＜ 0.05),inhibited expressions of iNOS (4.22 ±0.67 vs.3.14 ±0.90 vs.2.08 ±0.35;P ＜0.05),and ICAM-1 (5.45 ± 1.08 vs.3.45 ±0.67 vs.2.21 ±0.39;P ＜0.05).Conclusions Inhalation of exogenous H2S can reduce cerebral infarct volume after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in a dose-dependent manner and improve neurological function.Its mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of NF-κB activation,down-regulation of its downstream iNOS and ICAM-1 expression levels,and decrease of IL-1β and IL-6 levels.

Objective To investigate the expression levels of miRNA in kidney biopsies of child patients with nephrotic syndrome and the possibility of miRNA as potential markers in differentiating the pathologic subtypes of nephrosis.Methods Kidney biopsy specimens from 41 child patients with nephrotic syndrome,including 22 with nesangial proliferative glomeplonephritis (MsPGN),8 with minimal change disease (MCD) and 11 with endocapillary proliferative glomerulonephritis (ECPGN),were collected,and adult nephridial tissues from 8 patients without renal inadequacy were selected as controls.The expression levels of miR-191,miR-151-3p,miR-150,miR-30a-5p and miR-19b in nephridial tissues were detected by RT-qPCR,and their correlations with renal function related parameters were analyzed.Results Compared with the controls,the miR-191 levels in kidney tissues of child patients with nephrotic syndrome increased significantly (P ＜ 0.01),while the miR-151-3p levels decreased obviously (P ＜ 0.01).The expression levels of miR-150 in MCD patients were significantly lower than those in MsPGN and ECPGN patients and the controls (P ＜ 0.05).The expression levels of these miRNAs were positively correlated with serum IgG,TP and Cr levels,but negatively with serum TC levels (P ＜0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of miRNA in kidney tissues of child patients with nephrotic syndrome are related to pathological typing of nephrosis,and miR-150 may be a potential marker which may differentiate MCD from other subtypes of nephrosis.
