Journal of Chongqing Medical University 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To explore the effective treatment way of orbital zygomatic fracture with diplopia, reduce orbital capacity and regenerate referenced criterion of orbital capacity. Methods:To compare three-dimensional CT orbital diameters between before and after operation, and then reduce orbital capacity with special material.Results:Three-dimensional CT orbital diameter measurement can realize fracture shift and orbital capacity change accurately.Three-dimensional CT orbital diameter measurement before and after operation provides an important basis for orbital reconstruction.Conclusions:three-dimensional CT orbital diameter measurement is very simple, accurate and important for orbital zygomatic fracture treatment and orbital reconstruction.

ObjectiveTo study the effect the low level laser irradiation in nostril combined with the electric stimulation of cerebellum on acute cerebral infarction.Methods88 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups, 45 cases in the study group who were accepted level laser irradiation in nostril combined with the electric stimulation of cerebellum and the normal medicine therapy, 43 cases in the control group who were accepted the normal medicine therapy only. The effects of two groups were observed.ResultsThe scores of the nervous function defect degree and the cerebrovascular dynamics indexes of study group were obviously increased (P<0.05 or P<0.01) compared with those before treatment. The indexes of blood viscosity were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.01).However, all these indexes of the control group showed no significantly difference before and after treatment. ConclusionThe low level laser irradiation in nostril combined with the electric stimulation of cerebellum therapy is effective on acute cerebral infarction. It is helpful for early comprehensive recovery of motor function of the hemiplegic limbs.

Endocrinology is a new and important medical science.Owing to the great development of modern scientific revolution,it improves quickly. However, the development of endocrinology abides by the laws of epistemology and dialectics. It embodies not only the practicality, penetration, creativity of the scientific cognition, the law of the unity of oppositeness in the growth of the object, but also the high unity of comprehension and analysis of the cognition.

Objective To attempt to achieve a more satisfactory results in correcting the unilateral cleft lip nasal deformities caused by deficiency of the maxilla and collapse of the alar cartilage, using onlay implantation and stable fixation for implants. Methods Since 1996, the authors had implanted rib cartilage (12 cases), rib bone and cartilage (4 cases), silicon rubber (8 cases), skull bone and ePTFE (one case each) in total 26 patients with moderate to severe nasal deformities of unilateral cleft lip to elevate the retro-position alar base in hypoplastic maxillar area and to augment the buckled lateral alar cartilage in effected side. All implants were fixed by absorbable sutures on alar cartilage, and titanic screw and/or plate on maxilla under alar base. Results All wounds recovered without any complication. During 3 to 18 months follow-up postoperatively in 19 cases, the nasal appearences were significantly improved. The implants still provided support for the depressed alar base and the collapsed alar cartilage without obvious displacement, absorption and rejection. Conclusion The onlay implantation and stable fixation using suture and rigid fixation of titanic screw and/or plate for implants is reasonably good in nasal deformity correction of unilateral cleft lip advocated. The definitive effects and well-maintenance of the implant dimension and position have been documented.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the effects of rosiglitazone (RSG) on the levels of serum HbA1c, interleukin-6(IL-6) and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) in type 2 diabetic patients who were inadequately controlled only with insulin therapy. Methods 40 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), whose blood glucose was poorly controlled (HbA1c≥7 5%) after 4 weeks of standardized insulin therapy, were additionally given 4mg daily PSG. The levels of serum HbA1c, IL-6, hsCRP, total cholesterol (Tch), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) were measured before and after 12 weeks treatment with RSG. hsCRP was measured by high-sensitivity immunoturbidimetric method, and IL-6 by enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA). Results ⑴ RSG 4mg daily significantly improved glycemic control, treatment with RSG 4 mg plus insulin resulted in a mean 1 59% reduction of HbA1c from baseline (P

Objective The female nipple hypertrophy and mammary hypotrophy can be corrected by simultaneous operation to get more beautiful mammary profile. This study is to explore the new methods for mammary augmentation and nipple reduction. Methods The modified Regnault method was used to correct nipple hypertrophy. The procedures included removing a peripheral portion of the nipple and collapsing the distal portion of it. Other surgical technique was also applied for reduction of nipple height and diameter without affecting the central lactiferous ducts. Mammary augmentation was performed by putting a prosthesis in pectoralis major muscle through an endoscopy on transaxillary incision. Results The procedures were undertaken in 9 cases since 1998, in which 8 cases had been followed up for 3 to 12 months. The results of mammary augmentation and reduction of nipple were satisfactory. The appearance was fine with inconspicous scars, and there were no complications related to surgery. Conclusion The procedures for simultaneous plasty of the nipple hypertrophy and mammary hypotrophy are safe, simple and effective. [

Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 1987;0(03):-
Objective Mutations of 13 CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) STR core loci in 532 cases of paternity testing were observed in confirming paternity, the mutation rate and the mutation type were studied. Methods 587 cases of paternity testing were routinely carried out using AmpFe STR Profiler Plus and Cofiler PCR Amplification Kits. When one or two STR exclusions were found, then HLA system and other blood groups were tested by molecular typing, and sixteen STR loci were genotyped by using PowerPlexl6 PCR Amplification Kit. If necessary, the genotyping of Y chromosome specific STR and HLA allelic sequencing were added. Results 1052 meiosis were observed among the 532 cases in confirmed paternity, 18 mutation events were found in 17 paternity cases. Single-locus mutation was observed in 16 cases, and mutation at two STR loci was observed in one case. The observed mutational loci include: D5S818, D3S1358, D16S539, CSFIPO, D21S11, D13S317, D7S820, vWA, D18S51 and FGA. The mutation rates for D18S51 and FGA loci were both 0.29% , which were the highest among the ten mutational loci. 11 events of paternal source mutations, 5 events of maternal source mutations and two events of indistinguishable mutations were observed in 18 STR mutational events. Conclusion When one or two STR exclusions were found in paternity testing, other more genetic markers must be detected as complement before making final conclusions.
