Objective To investigate the expression of nerve growth factor(NGF) and slouble Fas(sFas) in children with viral myocarditis(VM),and the relationship with immunity, with the aim to provide evidence and basis for the diagnosis and treatment of VM.Methods The serum levels of NGF and sFas were detected by two-site enzyme-linked immunosorbent assy(ELISA) in 43 children with VM,and 20 normal heathy children as controls. Results The serum levels of both NGF and sFas in children with the acute stage(course in less than month and 1-2 months)and the procrastinate and chronic stages of VM were significantly higher than those of healthy children(P0.05).Conclusion The increased serum expression levels of NGF and sFas are related to the process of viral myocarditis, which confirms the relationship between the onset of VM and immune factors.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2017;42(7):790-795
Objective:To investigate the effect of acute myocardial infarction (AMI)-activated inflammation on adipokine imbalance and the therapeutic effects of statin. Methods:A total of 32 C57BL/6 mice were divided into 4 groups:a sham group,an AMI group,a low-dose atorvastatin [2 mg/(kg.d)] group and a high-dose atorvastatin [20 mg/(kg.d)] group.AMI models were established by surgical coronary artery ligation.Plasma levels of high sensitive C reaction protein (hs-CRP),adiponectin and resistin were measured.Adiponectin and resistin expressions were determined. In addition, mouse 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in vitro were differentiated and they were stimulated by oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL).The protein expressions of adiponectin and resistin in adipocytes were detected. The effects of atorvastatin on ox-LDL-induced adipokine imbalance in adipocytes were identified. Results:The plasma levels of hs-CRP and resistin in AMI mice were significantly increased, whereas the plasma levels of adiponectin were remarkably decreased. However, atorvastatin treatment blocked the changes in the plasma levels of hs-CRP,resistin and adiponectin in AMI mice in a dose-dependent manner.Consistent findings regarding the adipose expressions of the two adipokines were obtained. The plasma levels of hs-CRP were positively correlated with resistin but negatively with adiponectin. In vitro study,ox-LDL increased resistin protein and adiponectin expressions in adipocytes, which were dose-dependently reversed by atorvastatin. Conclusion:Inflammation activation in AMI mice leads to adipokine imbalance.Atorvastatin ameliorates the AMI-induced adipokine imbalance via anti-inflammation.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
Objective To determine the accuracy and reliability of continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS)in intensive monitoring blood glucose level. Methods The analysis was conducted on 48 type 2 diabetes patients to compare the glucose levels of glucose meter and CGMS.Each patients received CGMS for 3 days during his/her hospitalization. The data were analyzed according to correlation coefficient analysis, mean absolute error, sensitivity and specificity. Results The mean duration of CGMS recording was(71.4?0.6)h.From the data that paired glucose readings and CGMS,the coefficients of correlation ranged from 0.79 to 0.90 and the mean absolute error ranged from 6.7% to 10.0%.The sensitivity and specificity to detect hyperglycemia were 93.15% and 95.95%,respectively.Conclusion There is a good correlation between sensor readings of interstitial fluid glucose level and capillary blood glucose readings. The results indicate that CGMS is of clinical utility as a holter-type glucose tracking device.

Objective To explore the risk factors for the recurrence of senior patients with cerebral infarction ,and provide refer-ences for its prevention .Methods The 102 elder patients(age>65y) with cerebral infarction were regarded as recurrent group ,and 218 elder cerebral infarction patients without recurrence were considered as primary group .The sex ,age ,body mass index(BMI) , heavy smoking ,drunkenness ,TIA ,location of primary cerebral infarction ,using anti-platelet drugs ,diabetes ,hypertension ,coronary heart disease ,hyperlipidemia ,carotid atherosclerotic plaque ,fibrillation atrial ,chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) ,in-creased serum levels of homocysteine(Hcy) ,and high level of C reaction protein(CRP) were analyzed by single and multi factors a-nalysis .Results The single analysis showed the factors including hypertension ,TIA ,carotid atherosclerotic plaque ,heavy smoking , hyperlipidemia ,diabetes ,coronary heart disease ,increased serum levels of homocysteine (Hcy) ,and high level of C reaction protein (CRP) were risk factors for the recurrence of senior patients with cerebral infarction ,but using anti-platelet drugs was the protec-tive factor .Multi-factors analysis showed the factors including coronary heart disease ,hyperlipidemia ,TIA ,diabetes ,carotid athero-sclerotic plaque ,hypertension ,heavy smoking were isolated risk factors but using anti-platelet drugs was the protective factor .Con-clusion There are multitude factors for the recurrence of senior patients with cerebral infarction .We must pain more attention to the factors and decrease their recurrence .

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(6):470-473
Individual stature estimation is one of the most important contents of forensic anthropology. Currently, it has been used that the regression equations established by the data collected by direct measurement or radiological techniques in a certain group of limbs, irregular bones, and anatomic landmarks. Due to the impact of population mobility, human physical improvement, racial and geographic differences, estimation of individual stature should be a regular study. This paper reviews the different methods of stature estimation, briefly describes the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and prospects a new research direction.

Objective To study the effect of docosahexaenoic acid ( DHA ) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) on cognition impairment and huntingtin associated protein 1 ( HAP1 ) expression in hippocampus of rat model with Alzheimer' s disease(AD). Methods Forty healthy Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control group, AD group, DHA group and EPA group on average. Alcl3 was injected intraperitoneally and D-galac tose was injected into subcutaneous to establish the model of rat with AD. ABC method of immunohistochemistry was used to observe the expression level of HAP1 in the hippocampus. Morris water maze was used to study the spatial learning and memory in rats. Results Compared with control group, the HAP1-positive neurons of hippo campus decreased and poorer performance in Morris water maze test was observed in AD group. Compared with AD group, DHA and EPA treatments significantly caused the decreases in escape latency and searching distance in the Morris water maze test. The number of HAP1- positive cells in DG region of DHA group(43.57 ±6.14) increased obviously compared with AD group( 28.56 ± 4.23 ) (P < 0.05 =. Conclusion The immunoreactivities of HAP1 decrease in hippocampus of AD rat. The applications of DHA and EPA in AD rats significantly improve the ability of learning and memory;and the mechanisms may be related to the decrease of HAP1 expressions in hippocampus.
