Bilateral sequential cataract surgery is very common in clinical,but the ophthalmologists often ignore how to choose the timing of operation and whether the first eye can be used to improve the intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation for the second one.Despite the refinements in IOL selection with the use of third-generation IOL formulas,5％ of eyes still result in a postoperative refractive surprise of ± 1.00 D or more.This paper introduced the methods of using refraction error of the first eye to improve the IOL power calculation for the second eye,and the refractive error of the second eye can be improved by modifying the IOL power to correct up to 50％ of the error from the first eye in details.Because of the variation of the postoperative refractive surprise within a month,the interval of three to four weeks between two eyes cataract surgery is highly recommended.These conclusions may provide the advantageous guidance for us in the selection of IOL in bilateral cataract surgery.

The antimicrobial peptide magainin II is expressed in the skin of the African clawed frog, Xenopus laevis, and exhibits a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity as well as tumoricidal properties at low concentrations. In addition, magaininII plays a synergistic role during antimicrobial and tumoricidal processes with another antimicrobial peptide PGLa that is also expressed in Xenopus laevis. The optimized cDNA sequence of magainin II and magainin II-PGLa hybrid peptide according to E. coli or Pichia pastoris codon usage frequency were synthesized and sub-cloned into prokaryotic expression vector pGEX and Pichia pastoris secreted expression vector pPIC9k. The resulting recombinant plasmids were named as pGEX-magainin II and pPIC9k-magainin II-PGLa. The GST-magainin II fusion protein was highly expressed in E. coli. Furthermore, magainin II was successfully purified by digestion with PreScission Protease to cleave the GST tag. Additionally, our data obtained from the ELISA revealed that magainin II -PGLa hybrid peptide was successfully expressed in Pichia pastoris. These experiments establish a useful system for further studies of these antimicrobial peptides.

The microarray technology used in biological and medical research provides a new idea for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. To find different types of cancer and to classify the cancer samples accurately, we propose a new cluster ensemble framework Dual Neural Gas Cluster Ensemble (DNGCE), which is based on neural gas algorithm, to discover the underlying structure of noisy cancer gene expression profiles. This framework DNGCE applies the neural gas algorithm to perform clustering not only on the sample dimension, but also on the attribute dimension. It also adopts the normalized cut algorithm to partition off the consensus matrix constructed from multiple clustering solutions. We obtained the final accurate results. Experiments on cancer gene expression profiles illustrated that the proposed approach could achieve good performance, as it outperforms the single clustering algorithms and most of the existing approaches in the process of clustering gene expression profiles.

Layered anatomy is a both ancient and novel conception, which is derived from topographic anatomy.Topographic anatomy and phylembryogenesis are basic academic knowledges of layered anatomy.With the development of laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, less bleeding, more meticulous dissection, faster postoperative recovery and lower recurrence rate are required in surgical operation, because of which layered anatomy is mentioned and valued again.Organs in abdominal cavity are composed of different layered tissues,between them are loose connective tissues which are poor in vessels.Layered anatomy in surgical operation can avoid the en bloc dissection of organs, which not only reach total lesion dissection, but also avoid hurting surrounded normal tissues, showing the best surgical results.

The aim of the study was to optimize the coating formulation of sustained release pellets of loxoprofen sodium by the central composite design-response surface methodology(RSM plus CCD).In the formulation design using RSM plus CCD,independent variables were the ratio of HPMC to EC(X_1) in the sustained coating formulation and polymer load(weight gain,X_2) were selected as in dependent variables,and in vitro accumulated releases from the pellets at 1,4,and 8 h were dependent variables.Multilinear,two and three order quadratic models were used to estimate the relationship between the dependent and the independent variables,and to delineate RSM and overlay contour plots in order to select the optimal formulations in compliance to the hypothesized in vitro releases (%) at 1,4,and 8 h.The results showed that the relationship between dependent and independent variables was best fitted to three-order quadratic equation.The regression equation generated for the hypothesized in vitro cumulative releases(%) at 1,4,and 8 h were Q_(1h) =227.699 2-30.785 9X_1-43.395 4X_2 + 0.917 4X_1~2 +1.820 3X_2~2 +6.803 9X_1X_2-0.131 5X_1~2X_2-0.268 2X_1X_2~2,Q_(4h) =408.254 0-47.427 8X_1-75.229 2X_2 +3.304 0X_2~2 +12.357 3X_1X_2-0.111 8X_1~2X_2-0.5425X_1X_2~2,Q_(8h) =303.539 0-30.417 6X_1-45.114 0X_2 +2.064 4X_2~2 +6.865 0X_1X_2-0.3341X_1X_2~2,respectively.In the optimized coating formulation,the ratio of HPMC to EC was 4.0% and the polymer load 9.0%.Bias between observed and predicted values in vitro accumulated releases were negligible,indicating the high predictability of the selected models.Therefore,RSM plus CCD is applicable in the optimization of the coating formulation of loxoprofen sodium sustained-release pellets.

OBJECTIVE:To ensure the safety of the elderly medication. METHODS:The package inserts of 38 kinds of com-mon oral antihypertensive drugs were collected from our hospital,and analyzed statistically in respects of drug information for the elderly in package inserts of domestic and foreign drugs and those of antihypertensive drugs. RESULTS:In 21 package inserts (55.26%),there were specific dosage for elderly;in 16(42.10%),there were certain matters needing attention in“drug use for the elderly”;in 15,the marked rate of“pharmacokinetics study for the elderly”was 39.47%.Except for ARB antihypertensive drugs, related drug information was hardly labeled in package inserts of other types. The label of“starting at low dose”accounted for 21.05%;the label of“no need to adjust dose,“use drug carefully”,“no age differences”accounted for 15.79%,15.79% and 13.16%,respectively. The label rates of other items were in low level. The drug package inserts at home were lack of information of drug use for the elderly,compare to abroad. CONCLUSIONS:There are some problems in package inserts of common oral anti-hypertensive drugs,such as usage and dosage,matters need attention,pharmacokinetics,poor description in details. Drug informa-tion for the elderly in the package inserts of antihypertensive drug needs to be more detailed;the drug regulatory agency and the drug manufactures should make joint efforts to let drug package inserts more detailed about drug use for the elderly to ensure medi-cation safety.

Smart library is an advanced stage in the development of library and service is the key content in aca-demic library.The service model of smart library was described from the angle of information service, cloud service and Library 3 .0 with the connotation of smart library and the service function of academic library as the starting points.in an attemp to provide reference for academic libraries to establisht their target of smart library construction.

Objective To study the hot spots and frontiers in studies on domestic hospital libraries by visualization analysis.Methods A total of 2820 CNKI-covered papers on hospital libraries from 2005 to 2015 were analyzed u-sing CiteSpace 3.8.Results The clustering map of key words in papers on hospital libraries was plotted, the fre-quency of key words and centrality were listed, and the burst terms were mapped.Conclusion The hot spots in studies on hospital libraries are readers service, network and resources development.Subject service and digital li-brary are the frontiers.Review of hospital class plays an important role in promoting the construction of hospital li-braries.Service of hospital libraries is focused on the construction of key subjects in hospitals.

Renal fibrosis is the final common pathway for all kinds of chronic kidney diseases to end-stage renal diseases. Angiotensin Ⅱ plays an important role in the process of renal fibrosis. How to block angiotensin Ⅱ has been a focus of nephrology. This article reviewed the progress in traditional Chinese medicine against renal fibrosis with angiotensin Ⅱ as research target.
