1.Diagnosis and surgical treatment of carcinoma of duodenal papilla :a report of 48 cases
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2001;0(10):-
Objective To study the results of diagnosis and treatment of duodenal papilla carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 48 cases of duodenal papilla carcinoma admitted and treated in our hospital during a 7-year period were analyzed retrospectively. The main clinical symptoms included jaundice(43 cases), upper abdominal pain(23 cases), pruritus of skin(12 cases) and other symploms (7cases). The diagnosis accuracy rate of B ultrasound, CT, and ERCP examination were 39.6%, 50.0% and 93.3% respectively. Pancreaticoduodenectomy was performed in 39 cases. (of these, 1 case underwent pylorus-preserving procedure), 5 cases underwent cholecystojejunostomy and/or gastroenterostomy, and 3 were willfully discharged after diagnosis. Results Thirty-six patients were followed up.Survival beyond 1 year and beyond 2 years afer pancreaticoduodeneoctomy were 66.7% and 30.6% (respectively), and 2 cases among 8 cases of 7-year survivors are alive now. But the 3 discharged patients who refused operations lived less than 1 year; and only 1 patient among those who underwent cholecystojejunostomy and/or (gastroenterostomy) lived more than 1 year. Conclusions ERCP plus biopsy are the primary means of diagnosis, and radical resection is the main treatment modality for duodenal papilla carcinoma.
2.Enrichment of lung cancer stem cells and expression of related markers
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(14):2167-2171
BACKGROUND:Lung cancer stem cel s are tightly related to the treatment and prognosis of lung cancer. We can provide more references for clinical diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer through the study on the tumorigenicity and surface markers of lung cancer stem cel s. OBJECTIVE:To explore the enrichment methods for lung cancer stem cel s and cel ular tumorigenicity. METHODS:Lung cancer stem cel s were induced in serum-free culture medium containing epidermal growth factor, insulin-like growth factor 1, and basic fibroblast growth factor. Then, the expressions of related surface markers were detected using immunofluorescence method. After that, mice were implanted subcutaneous with lung cancer stem cel spheres to understand the tumorigenicity of lung cancer stem cel s. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Lung cancer stem cel s under serum-free induction and culture were changed to sphere-forming cel s, and the immunofluorescence detection showed that over 80%of sphere-forming cel s were positive for CCSP, SP-C and OCT4. After transplantation of sphere-forming cel s, the mice showed a high tumorigenicity. These findings indicate that sphere-forming cel s are formed after serum-free suspension culture of lung cancer stem cel s, which have a higher tumorigenicity.
3.STATE OF ACTIN POLYMERIZATION IN B LYMPHOCYTES FROM DIFFERENT DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF BURSA OF FABRICIUS OF PEKING DUCK
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
In this study we have examined the state of actin polymerization in B cells from different development stages in bursa of Fabricius of Peking duck by indirect immunofluorescence technique using antibody against actin. In B cells from bursa of Fabricius of 26th day embryo and 3th week after hatching, the polymeric actin was the main form in the actin pool. In B cells from bursa of Fabricius of 12th week after hatching, however, the monomeric actin was the main form, which might be a result of the shift from the polymeric actin pool to the monomeric pool. We concluded that the state of actin polymerization might be an important factor in the cellular functions of B cells of bursa of Fabricius.
4.Normal Values and Development of Click- Auditory Brainstem Responses in Children of 3~5 Years Old
Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 2016;24(5):455-456,457
Objective To study the normal ranges and features for click-auditory brainstem responses of children in 3~5 years old. Methods Normal results of click-ABR from 132 normal children (224 ears)were ana-lyzed.The children were divided into three groups:Group A (74 ears from children of 3 years old),Group B (78 ears from children of 4 years old)and Group C (72 ears from children of 5 years old). The ABR data were statisti-cally analyzed by ANOVA with SPSS.Results At 80 dB nHL,the wave Ⅰ,Ⅲ,and Ⅴ latencies and intervals of wave Ⅰ- Ⅲ,and wave Ⅰ-Ⅴ of ABR for 3 -year old children were 1.24 ±0.09 ms,3.53 ±0.16 ms,5.39 ± 0.23 ms,2.30±0.15ms and 4.15 ±0.22 ms,respectively, and for 4 -year-old children, they were1.23 ±0.10 ms,3.52±0.39 ms,5.30±0.21 ms,2.28±0.39 ms and 4.07 ±0.22 ms,respectively. For 5 - year-old chil-dren,they were1.24±0.10 ms,3.67±0.63 ms and 5.34±0.19 ms,2.42±0.63 ms and 4.09±0.19 ms,respec-tively.The thresholds for 3-year children were 22.57 ±4.40 dB nHL,for 4 - year children,21.15 ±4.83 dB nHL,and for 5 - year children,21.11±3.48 dB nHL.Among three groups, only latency of wave V and interval of wave I-V had statistical differences, and a further analysis showed the statistical differences in Groups A and B. No statistical differences were observed in Groups B and C.The latency of wave I and thresholds of ABR for the children of different ages were not significantly different. Conclusion The resvits of this study suggest the brainstem may mature at 4 years old.
