Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the effect of low-intensity ultrasound on intraocular hypertension and its mechanicsm. Methods The intraocular hypertension rabbits were treated with ultrasound. The intraocular pressure(IOP),trabecular meshwork HE staining,EM microscopy, extracellular matrix through immunohistochemistry were performed. Results After treatment,IOP was descended and trabecula interspace was wider than the control eye.The expression of collagen I,laminin and fibronectin was inhibited. Conclusion Low-intensity ultrasound can decrease IOP.It may be related with the change of histologic structure of trabecular meshwork.

High mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), a ubiquitous non-histone protein in the nuclear chromatin of eukaryotic cells, plays an important role in inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases and cancer. The function of HMGB1 in the development and progression of tumor varies with its subcellular localization. On one hand, HMGB1 promotes the growth, proliferation, invasion and metastasis of tumor cells, and mediates immune escape and immune tolerance; on the other hand, HMGB1 possesses anti-tumor activity by maintaining the stability of genome, regulating the expression of tumor suppressor genes, inhibiting cell invasion and metastasis and improving the anti-tumor therapeutic effect. In recent years, increasing evidences have suggested that HMGB1 is closely associated with the development of tumor. Therefore, understanding the function of HMGB1 in cancer will provide enlightenment for preventive and therapeutic strategies. This review summarized the dual role of HMGB1 in tumor progression.

Objective To retrospectively analyze the prognostic factors of advanced esophageal carcinoma (EPC) with concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Methods A total of 200 advanced EPC patients between January 2008 and December 2011 were reviewed, and all of them received concurrent chemoradiotherapy, either IMRT or CRT.Among them, there were 92 and 108 patients in the IMRT and CRT group, respectively. The chemotherapy scheme was paclitaxel combined with different platinum drugs (cisplatin, nedaplatin, oxaliplatin or lobaplatin). The number of chemotherapy cycles was 2-4.Results Patients who received IMRT had a significant higher 3-year overall survival (OS) than that who received CRT (63.6 % vs 38.9 %,x2 =12.102,P =0.001).Three-year OS differed no significantly between different chemotherapy regimens. There were 44.6 %,57.5 %,52.5 % and 52.5 % for those who received cisplatin, nedaplatin, oxaliplatin and lobaplatin, respectively (x2 =2.756,P =0.431).Patients received different cycles of chemotherapy had comparable treatment outcome, and the overall survival were 44.1%,51.6 % and 57.4 % for those who underwent 2,3 and 4 chemotherapy cycles at 3 years, without any statistical significance (x2 =2.497,P =0.287).Univariate analysis indicated that lesion length on X-ray,M stage,6th edition UICC staging and radiotherapy methods were the potential predictive factors.Multivariate analysis shown that gender, lesion length on X-ray and radiotherapy methods were the significant prognostic factors. Conclusion The significant prognostic factors for advanced EPC with concurrent chemoradiotherapy are mainly lesion length on X-ray and radiotherapy methods.

Objective To investigate the effects of siRNA targeting CD 147 gene on the expression of CD147 in melanoma cell line A375, and on proliferation of these cells. Methods Previously prepared recombinant plasmid pSUPER/CD147 siRNA was used. In this study, the recombinant was transfected into the A375 cells. The mRNA expression of CD147 was measured by semi-quantitive RT-PCR, the proliferation of the cells by MTT assay. Results After the transfection with pSUPER/CD147 siRNA1 and pSU-PER/CD147 siRNA2, the mRNA expression of CD147 in the A375 cells was significantly down-regulated by 90.81% (P

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of clinical nursing pathway of health education on partum urinary retention. Methods Two hundred and forty primiparas hospitalized in our hospital from September 2012 to February 2013 were randomized equally into the observation group and the control group. The former received health education by clinical nursing pathway and the control group conventional health education. The two groups were compared in terms of incidence of postpartum urinary retention. Results The incidences of postpartum urinary retention in the observation group and the control one were 3.33% and 11.67%,respectively.The difference in the incidence between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway of health education may effectively prevent the occurrence of postpartum urinary retention.

Objective To study prevention and treatment for patients during the intermittent period of maintaining hemodialysis complicated by acute left heart failure. Methods The treating process of 126 examples suffered from acute left heart failure during the intermittent period of 14 225 person-time maintaining hemodialysis in 143 patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results In this case group, 0.89% suffered from acute left heart failure during the intermittent period of hemodialysis and the successful rescuing rate was 88.9%. Conclusions Applying the treatment of emergency hemodialysis, quickly filtering body fluid, the curative effect is reliable and rapid. It is one of the best ways to cure patients suffered from acute left heart failure during the intermittent period of maintaining hemodialysis. Combined with other treatments, it will be able to improve the successful rate, and ensure the sufficiency of hemodialysis. United with other steps of reducing blood pressure, such as using angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blocker, and ? receptor blocker, it is an effective countermeasure to prevent patients suffering from acute left heart failure during the intermittent period of maintaining hemodialysis, and effectively reduces its appearance as well.

International Eye Science 2015;(5):821-824
?Dry eye is a multi-factorial disease of tear film and ocular surface, and it can result in discomfort, visual disturbance and tear film instability and potential damage of ocular surface, accompanied by hyper osmolarity of tears and ocular surface inflammation. lnflammation is the key factor to dry eye. Many kinds of immune cells and inflammatory factors are involved in the occurrence and development of dry eye syndrome. Cell apoptosis, nerve dysregulation, disorders of sex hormones also play an important role in pathologic process of dry eye. Recently, while illustrating the pathophysiology and pathogenesis of dry eye has been made some progress, there is still no single standard. The possible mechanisms of ocular surface inflammation and tear dysfunction of dry eye were reviewed in this article.

Objective To study the effects of new triple therapy with clarithromycin plus amoxicillin and omeperazole combined into 3 therapeutic therapies, and 3 therapeutic courses to treat children with helicobacter pyloric(Hp) infection. Methods Two hundred and four patients who were diagnosed by gastroscopy as Hp-related gastroentestinal diseases and divided into 3 groups, randomly.Group A was treated with amoxicillin 50 mg/(kg?d)+bismuth citrate 7-8 mg/(kg?d)+metronidzole 15-20 mg/(kg?d) for six weeks;group B took the same drugs but for two weeks;group C was treated with clarithromycin 15 mg/(kg?d)+omeperazole 0.8 mg/(kg?d)+amoxicillin 50 mg/(kg?d) for 2 weeks. Results The rates of eradicate of Hp:group A 73.4%,group B 75%,group C 92%.The differences between group B and group C were very significant. Conclusion Triple therapy is more effective, less duration, well tolerated, less resistant, with higher rate of eradication.
