Objective To investigate the clinical value of ～ 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging in diagnosed and predicted the degree of malignancy in brain gliomas.Methods ～ 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging were performed on 32 patients with brain gliomams(9 low potential malignancy patients and 23 high potential malignancy patients)and 20 normal persons.Performed the qualitative analysis and half quantitative analysis to the early(15min)and delayed(4h)images.And compared the results of half quantitative analysis with low potential malignancy group and high potential malignancy group.Results The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of ～ 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging was 81.3%(26/32),100%(20/20)and 88.5%(46/52)respectively.The positive rate of high potential malignancy group was 100%(23/23),and low potential malignancy group was 33.3%(3/9).Compared the results of half quantitative analysis to the early and delayed images,the uptake of high potential malignancy group was obviously higher than low potential malignancy group.Conclusions Using ～ 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging had high clinical value in diagnosed and predicted the degree of malignancy in brain gliomas.

Objective To establish a method to determine six kinds of PAEs in human serum simultaneously,and on this basis to understand the level of PAEs in human body.Methods Ultrasonic extraction,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-selected ion monitoring(GC-MS-SIM) detection and quantitative analysis based on internal standard were used to detect six kinds of PAEs in human serum simultaneously.Finally this method was used in fifty human serum samples.Results The results showed that this method had a good linear relation in the range from 10 to 1 000 ng/ml,and the correlation coefficients of standard curve were higher than 0.999.The average recovery rate and the relative standard deviation(RSD,n=6) of the target compounds in standard-addition blank was 94.5% and 4.4% respectively,the lower limits of detection for DEP,DMP,DBP,BBP,DEHP,DNOP were 0.31,0.85,0.90,0.63,0.88,0.41 ng/ml respectively,and the recovery rates of all samples ranged from 67.98% to 110.8%.Conclusion This method has good recovery rate,reproducibility,lower limit of detection and can be used for the determination of many kinds of PAEs substances in human serum.

OBJECTIVETo systematically evaluate the effectiveness of integrative medicine (IM) for preventing postoperative recurrence of primary hepatic carcinomas (PHC).

METHODSSuch databases as The Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMbase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP Database, Wan-fang Database were retrieved to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on preventing postoperative recurrence of PHC by IM. The retrieval period started from database establishment to June 2013. Literature screening, data extraction, and quality evaluation were performed by two reviewers strictly according to inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.2 Software.

RESULTSA total of 5 RCTs involving 367 patient cases were included. Results of Meta-analysis showed that the IM group was superior to the Western medicine (WM) group in the 1-, 2-, and 3-year recurrence rates (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONIn the prevention of postoperative recurrence of PHC, the effectiveness of IM was more significant, when compared with treatment of Western medicine.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of the clinical pathway in geriatric orthope-dics clinical teaching. Methods From March 2010 to December 2011, 80 clinical undergraduates, who practiced in the Department of Orthopedics in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medi-cal University, were equally randomized divided into two groups. One group was taught by the con-ventional methods and the other group was taught by the clinical pathway teaching. After the teaching, the theoretical exam and operational skill test were performed among students in both groups. SPSS 17.0 software was employed and the scores before and after the teaching and scores between two groups was analyzed by paired t-test(inspection level α=0.05). Results There was no significant difference in average scores between two groups before teaching(theoretical exam: P=0.81, operating skill test:P=0.65) while significant increases were observed in scores of theoretical exam and operational skill test after teaching (theoretical exam and operating skill test: P<0.05) and clinical pathway teaching group had higher scores than conventional teaching group (theoretical exam and operating skill test:P=0.02 and P=0.01). Conclusions Better effects can be achieved by clinical pathway approach re-garding geriatric orthopedics teaching.

Objective: To establish the method for determining matrine in Sophora subprostrala Chun et T.Chen. by HPLC. Methods: A CLC-phenyl column was selected as separation column at 30 ?C . Matrine was isocratically eluted by methanol-water-triethylamine (50∶50∶0.05,v/v) at flow rate of 1.0ml?min -1 . The peak of matrine was monitored at UV 219nm. Results: The detection limit was 2ng?ml -1 . The recovery of the added sample was above 95%. RSD of intra-day and inter-day was less than 2% and 4%, respectively. The linear range was 1.0～1000?g?ml -1 . Conclusion: The method was simple, rapid and producible.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of melamine-induced renal damage in rats.Methods 48 male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups with 12 in each group and feed for 3 months.Group A were the control group,feed with standard granule feedstuff and drinking tap water.Group B were stone-induced group,feed with granule feedstuff containing 3％ Mel and drinking tap water.Group C were feed with granule feedstuff containing 3％ Mel and drinking water containing 2％ taurine.Group D were feed with standard granule feedstuff and drinking water containing 2％ taurine.Every week 24 h urine was collected to test PH,SCr,uric acid,protein,8-IP,H2O2 and Mel level.All rats were sacrificed at the end of 3 months.Blood creatinine detection,renal pathology analysis ( HE and Oil ep-red O dyeing,immunohistochemical) and mitochondria separation and detection were undertaken. ResultsMel was not detedted in urine of Group A and Group D.The urine concentration of Mel in Group B and Group C in 1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks,4 weeks were 3.16 ±0.45,4.39 ±0.213,5.40 ±0.28,5.50 ±3.26 and 3.52 ±0.49,4.32 ± 0.135,5.34 ± 0.40,5.46 ± 2.99 mg/ml,respectively.Compared with Group A,the Mel concentration in urine of Group B and C were drug exposure time dependent.In Group A,the urine protein,urine creatinine clearance,serum creatinine,and renal/weight ratio were 6.45 ± 1.45 mg/24 h,28.0 ± 7.4mmol/l,0.56 ±0.03 ml · min-1 · 100g-1,2.29 ±0.89 mg/g,while in Group B and C,the urinary protein urine,serum creatinine,creatinine clearance,kidney/weight ratio were 14.56 ± 7.69,56.8 ± 5.2,0.29 ±0.05,4.16 ±0.27 and 16.44 ±6.29,55.8 ±7.4,0.30 ±0.07,4.40 ±0.56,respectively.Compared with group A,in Group B and C,the urinary protein increased significantly,urine creatinine clearance reduced,serum creatinine reduced,and renal/weight ratio increased.Compared with Group B,the improvement of renal function in Group C was not significant,and the decrease of serum creatinine and urinary protein were not obvious (P ＞ 0.05).In Group B and C,the urine H2O2,8-IP and mitochondrial oxidatie detection reagent SOD,GSH-PX numerical were 28.5 ± 5.2 mmol/1,3.26 ± 1.6 pg/ml,21.1 ± 7.8 U/mg prot,19.0 ±2.5 energy unit and 26.7 ±4.8 mmol/l,2.99 ±8.5 pg/ml,20.3 ±6.9 U/mg prot,17.9 ±4.8 energy unit,respectively.The difference between Group B and C was not statistically significant (P ＞0.05).Pathological analysis showed Mel was mainly concentrated in crystal tubular lumen (Group B and C),kidney interstitial damage was apparent,and kidney inflammation and fibrosis progressive developed with the increase of the drug exposure time. Conclusions Mel can induce kidney damage and stone formation in rats,and stone was mainly in tubular location in inner medullary zone.It is not the oxidative stress way that Mel leads to kidney damage.

AMOS-PCR and MLVA were carried out to identify the Brucella strains isolated in Fujian province, which were classified as B. melitensis biovar 2 or 3 by conventional microbiological tests. All these 3 isolates were identified to be B. melitensis by AMOS-PCR. The genetic patterns obtained by MLVA were queried in the Brucella 2007 database and clustered with B. melitensis strains. It is evident that these two molecular assays may be used as the assistant tools in the identification of Brucella strains.

Objective To investigate the antibacterial activity of combined antimicrobial agents for imipenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in vitro,so as to provide evidence for guiding clinical practice.Methods Twenty-seven isolates of irnipenem resistant Acinetobacter baumannii were collected from March,2007 to February.2008.The minimal inhibitory concentrations(MIC)of the isolates against eleven frequently used antibiotics were determined by E test and agar dilution.Combined drug sensitivity testing was performed by broth checkerboard titration assay.Synergism between minocycline and cefoperazone-sulbaetam was analyzed by time-killing curve.Results The results from checkerboard titration assay and time-kill studies showed that the synergy rates between minocycline and cefperazone-sulbactam,minocycline and amikacin,minocycline and ciprofloxacin were 74.1%,28.0%and 48.1%,respectively.The synergy rates between amikacin and cefoperazone-sulbactam,anaikacin and ciprofloxaein were 23.1%and 37.0%,respectively.The synergy rate between cefoperazone-sulbactam and ciprofloxacin was 7.1%.With combination therapy.both MICs of cefoperazone-sulbactam and MIC of minocyeline decreased to lower than breakpoints.According to time-killing curve,the synergy rate between cefoperazone-sulbactam and minocycline was 100%.Conclusion Minocycline and cefoperazone-sulbaetam can be used for treating infections caused by multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) for osteoporotic compression fracture of the upper thoracic spine.Methods The study enrolled 20 patients with osteoporotic compression fracture in 25 upper thoracic segments.The subjects (5 males and 15 females) aged at (71.0 ± 10.8) years (range, 57-89 years).Fracture occurred in 2 T1, 3 T2,5 T3 and 15 T4 segments.The subjects were submitted to puncture process via unilateral extrapedicular approach.Operation time, volume of infused bone cement, X-ray images and CT scan were recorded after operation.Visual analogue score (VAS), mobility score and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were assessed after operation.Results The procedure was successfully accomplished in all patients.Mean operation time was (39.7 ± 10.6)min.Infusion volume of bone cement was 2.0-6.0 ml [(3.3 ± 1.5)ml].Eighteen patients were available to the follow-up of 5.5-18 months [(7.6 ± 2.7) months].Three patients (15％) were associated with cement leakage into the epidural (n =1), paravertebral soft tissues (n =1) and disc (n =1) but remained asymptomatic.One patient (5％) had new fracture at the non-adjacent and non-operative segments within 15 days, and had no recurrence after PVP.No other serious complications such as rib fracture, pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism, vascular injury, spinal injury and infection were found.VAS, mobility score and ODI improved at 3 d, 1 month, 3 months and final follow-up compared to those at 1 d pre-operation (P ＜0.O1).Conclusions PVP is a safe and effective treatment for upper thoracic osteoporotic compression fracture, which is associated with few complications,reduced pain and improved mobility as well as quality of life.Rational surgical position and puncture approach are beneficial to a successful surgery.
