Objective To probe into the optometry students' acceptability of interactive teaching mode by the questionnaire survey.Methods Totally 207 optometry students including 42 five-year undergraduate students,17 seven-year program students,95 three-year postgraduate students and 53 three-year junior college students were investigated for their acceptability of interactive teaching mode by the questionnaire survey.Results The results showed that 63.3％ of the students preferred traditional teaching mode; 70％ of the students would like to accept interactive teaching mode,the others didn't accept it or hesitated to accept it.Lack of self-confidence was the major reason.Conclusions Most medical college students are willing to accept the interactive teaching mode.Interactive teaching mode should be combined with traditional teaching mode.

Except common histologic type,some special histological types and clinico-pathological features of gastric cancer,such as neuroendocrine carcinoma,hepatoid adenocarcinoma,lymphoepithelioma-like gastric carcinoma and hereditary diffuse gastric cancer,etc,because of there special diagnosis and treatment measures and prognosis,should be taken into account in our clinical work.This article reviews the clinical progress of diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of the four special kinds of gastric cancer mentioned above.

Objective To investigate longitudinal systolic function of transplanted heart using two dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography and tissue Doppler imaging.Methods 56 consecutive patients with heart transplant were recruited,according to myocardial biopsy and 1 year's follow up,they were divided into non-rejection group (group A) and rejection group (group B).36 healthy controls (group C) were also randomly recruited.Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),pulmonary arterial systolic pressure,tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE),tricuspid annular plane systolic velocity (TAS') and global longitudinal strain (GLS) were calculated via Qlab 9.0 analysis software offline.Results Compared with group C,LVEF was reduced in group B (P ＜0.01).Differences of GLS,TAPSE,and TA-S' among groups were all statistically significant (P ＜0.01),group B＜group A＜ group C.LVEF,TAPSE and TA-S' were correlated with GLS (r =-0.64,r =-0.69,r =-0.71 ; all P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Left and right ventricles were a functional unity,the systolic function of which was impaired in patients with heart transplant.

Objective To approach the expressions and the roles of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) and membrane type 1 matrix metalloproteinases (MT1-MMP) in valve disease with pressure overload which induces extracellular matrix remodeling of left ventricle. MethodsOf 32 patients, 16 cases were pressure overload group (PO), who had the multiple valve disease with predominately aortic valve stenosis, having a ring diameter of aorta valve less than 1.3 cm, cross valve pressure gradient equal or more than 40 mmHg, and valvular regurgitation less than 4.0 cm2; The other 16 cases, as mitral stenosis group (MS), were simple mitral stenosis patients with single valve replacement. Meanwhile, 5 normal individuals served as control, who died from accident. Echocardiography was used to analyze the left ventricular function and detect the hypertrophic level of the left ventricle. Left ventricle muscle samples were obtained during operation. Histological features were studied by Masson staining, and collagenous contents were quantitated with a computer-assisted imaging analysis system. The mRNA expressions of CTGF and MT1-MMP were detected with RT-PCR. ResultsConcentric hypertrophy was observed significant in PO group, but myocardial hypertrophy was not found in MS group. Objective:To observe the additional effects of Xin Qing-ning Tablets,a representative herb with the effect of activating blood circulation and detoxication(ABCD) consisting of rhubarb extractives,on the serum in ammatory markers and blood lipids in stable coronary heart disease(CHD) patients receiving standardized statins treatment.Methods:Thirty stable CHD patients were randomized to three groups(10 in each group):the control group treated with standardized statins;the ABC and ABCD group,treated with Dan Qi Tablets or Xin Qing-ning Tablets respectively in addition to standardized statins treatment.After one month treatment,the concentrations of high-sensitivity C reaction protein(hs-CRP),Tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) in serum,blood lipid and blood-stasis syndrome score(BSSS) of CHD patients before and after treatment were determined.Results:The ABCD group showed superior e ects in reducing the concentration of hs-CRP in serum[a di erence of(6.83?4.99)mg/L]as compared with the control group(1.90?2.15)mg/L and the ABC group(1.49?1.48)mg/L(P

Objective To investigate the safety of hip arthroplasty during the perioperative period in aged patients with femoral neck fracture .Methods The clinical data in 56 elderly cases of femoral neck fracture treated by hip arthroplasty ,aged more than 65 years old ,were performed the retrospective analysis .Results Among 56 cases ,54 cases hospitalized for 21d[(18-31)d] and suc-cessfully were discharged ,the Harris scores were increased from preoperative 30 (0 -38) to postoperative 83 (72 -91) ,the func-tion of hip joint was obviously improved ;2 cases with the preoperative poor tolerance score died during perioperative period ,there were 3 cases(5 .4% ) of postoperative hip hematoma ,1 cases(1 .79% ) of postoperative hematoma developed secondary bacterial in-fection after puncture and 3 cases (5 .4% ) of postoperative posterior dislocation in the early stage and no case of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) accompanying clinical symptoms .Conclusion Hip arthroplasty is a effective measure for treating aged patients with femoral neck fracture .But those patients with poor operative tolerance should select this operation cautiously

Objective To study the outcomes of two intervention strategies on the language development of young children with hearing loss greater than moderate degree by universal newborn hearing screening (UNHS) system.Methods Infants and young children,born from Jan 2002 to Dec 2007 in Shanghai and failed UNHS,were included in this study.They received audiometric evaluations at the Shanghai Children's Hearing and Speech Center.Among those diagnosed with hearing loss greater than moderate degrees,65 were intervened at 6 months and followed up subsequently.According to hearing loss degree and intervention strategies,20 of 65 were included in the hearing aid group(M_(HA)),19 was in the severe hearing aid group(S_(HA)),9 in the profound hearing aid group(P_(HA)),and 17 in the profound cochlear implamation group(P_(CI)).Other 36 were not intervened at 6 months old but followed up also.The control group was 36 normal hearing young children.The hearing losse and speech development were analyzed for statistical study.Results Between the group without intervention and the control group,between the group intervened and without intervention,statistically significant differences were noted (P＜0.05) in the average hearing threshold and the developmental scores.Between the control group and anyone group among M_(HA),S_(HA) and P_(CI),no statistically significant differences (P＞0.05) were noted in the developmental scores.For the same hearing level between the group P_(HA) and P_(CI),statistically significant differences (P＜0.05) were noted in the developmental scores.The developmental scores of P_(HA) was lower than that of P_(CI).Conclusion Early intervention is effective for infants and young children with hearing loss greater than moderate degree.Their speech development is noticeably faster than that of those without any intervention.According to hearing loss degree,it was very important for acquiring the best speech development that selected the most proper intervention mode.

ObjectivesTo investigate the effects of 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(5-Aza-dC),a methylation inhibitor,on the expression and methylation of tissue factor pathway Inhibitor (TFPI-2) gene in PANC1 cell line of pancreatic cancer.MethodsPANC1 cell lines were treated with different dosages of 5-Aza-dC ( 1× 10-7,5 × 10-7,1× 10 -6 mol/L).The status of TFPI-2 methylafion and expressions of TFPI-2 mRNA and protein were determined by MSP,RT-PCR,and Western blot.Results TFPI-2 gene CpG island was completely methylated,and there was no expression of TFPI-2 mRNA and protein without 5-Aza-dC treatment.After treatment with different dosages of 5-Aza-dC( 1 × 10-7,5 × 10 -7,1 × 10-6 mol/L),TFPI-2 gene CpG hypermethylation was reversed from incomplete methylated to complete non-methylated.The relative expressions of TFPI-2 mRNA were 0.211± 0.087,O.327 ± 0.068,0.609 ± 0.017; and the relative expressions of TFPI-2 protein were O.429 ± O.121,O.675 ± O.044,1.132 ± O.124 in a dose-dependent manner ( P ＜0.05 ).ConclusionsThe hypermethylatien of promoter region may be the primary reason for TFPI-2 gene expression down-rogtdation and inactivation.5-Aza-dC may reverse the hypermethylation of TFPI-2 gene,and induce the m-expression of TFPI-2 mRNA and protein.

In order to improve the efficacy of vibration expectoration and prevent secondary injury in patients with chest trauma,the body surface marking method was used in vibration expectoration.The exact injured locations and areas were identified via CT ot X-ray results.Then,the restricted and focused areas of expectoration were marked with red and green colors,which could guide the machines to avoid the fracture sites,reduce pain,prevent secondary injury and administrate effective expectoration in the areas of sputum and atelectasis.However,the dynamic CT or X-ray results must be used for reference to ensure the accuracy of the body surface marking.

Objective To explore the possible mechanism of miR 34a/Bcl-2 apoptotic pathway in the mouse model of age-related hearing loss.Methods A C57BL/6 mouse model of age-related hearing loss was conducted,and 4-week-old and 12-month-old mice were considered as the objects.The auditory brainstem response (ABR) was used to test the hearing function.The TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) was used to observe the apoptosis of neuron in auditory cortex.The mRNA and protein levels of miR-34a,Bcl-2 and caspase 3 were detected by real-time PCR and Western bloting,respectively.Results The ABR showed that the hearing threshold level at 4,8,16,32 kHz were higher in 12-month-old mice than in 4-week-old mice [(80.0±2.5) dBHL vs.(32.0 ±4.5) dBHL,(74.0±3.5) dBHL vs.(51.0±1.2) dBHL,(86.0±4.6) dBHL vs.(51.0±3.5) dBHL,(87.0±6.6) dBHL vs.(56.0±1.5) dBHL,all P＜0.05].Compared with 4 week-old mice,the total number of neurons in auditory cortex was decreased,the number of apoptosis neurons was increased,the expressions of miR-34a (t=6.02,P=0.001),Bax (t=6.51,P=0.012) and Caspase 3 (P=0.023) rised,and the expression of Bcl-2 (t=7.12,P=0.032) declined in 12 month-old mice.Conclusions The activation of miR-34a/Bcl-2 apoptotic pathway may be one of the mechanisms of age-related hearing loss.
