It has been shown that powerful Saussurea involucrata spirit has effects of expelling wind and removing dampness, anti-inflammation and alleviating pain, and activating blood flow and diminishing swelling. The pharmacokinetic findings show that this drug has advantages of slow-absorption, long-action and high-bioavailability.

At present,the technology to predict the response to neoadjuvant therapy with biomakers has been widely used in clinical practice.The approaches of biomarkers detection are various,including immunohistochemistry,detection of serum biomarkers conventional blood tests,gene expression profile analysis,single nucleotide polymorphisms,miRNAs,proteomics analysis.With the development of biotechnology,the technology of biomarkers detection is expected to become effective means in assessment of adjuvant therapy,risk,prognosis and individualization in esophageal cancer treatment.

Radiation pneumonitis (RP) is one of the most common toxicities in patients with lung cancer treated by radiotherapy,which limits the delivered dose and may thus hampers tumor control,then lowers the patients,life quality.Based on the progress of molecular biology,RP may be regarded as a continuous progression of events induced by various cytokines involving numerous cells.Researches on gene polymorphisms indicate different mechanisms in the pathogenesis of RP among different races.Besides,more studies focus on the predictive value of dosimetric parameters such as V20、mean lung dose(MLD) and biological markers such as transforming growth factor-β ( TGF-β1 ).Decreasing use of drugs which may exacerbate RP and increasing use of modern treatments may be beneficial in the prevention.Meanwhile as the respect of drug prevention,more and more emphases are being placed on the target molecule of radiation-induced injury.

Objective To study the MRI findings and pathologic characteristics of cesarean scar pregnancy during the first-trimes-ter.Methods Clinical data,MRI findings and pathologic manifestations of 23 CSP patients confirmed by surgery and pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Results On pathologic specimens by the microscope,villi and decidua tissue were found in the myometrium of all 23 cases (100%),and smooth muscle tissue in the uterus scar was incomplete in 12 cases (52.2%).The incision scars were found in the uterine lower antetheca in 21 cases,which showed low signal on T1 WI and T2 WI.A majority of the gestational sac pro-truded into intrauterine in 12 cases.The gestational sac located in the scar of lower uterine antetheca in 10 cases and in the myometri-um around the scar in 1 case.The gestational sac of 22 cases were quasi-round with the size between 1.8 cm×1.2 cm and 6.4 cm× 2.7 cm.The gestational sacs showed homogeneous low signal on T1 WI and high signal on T2 WI in 8 cases,heterogeneous high signal on T2 WI and STIR sequence in 1 5 cases,a little short T1 signal of bleeding in 9 cases,and heterogeneous high signal on DWI sequence in 3 cases.The gestational sac borders were well-defined in 18 cases and blurred in 5 cases.Among 5 cases performed by enhanced MRI,there were 3 cases which gestational sac walls were ring-shaped enhanced.Conclusion MRI findings of CSP had certain char-acteristics and could reflect the pathological characteristics of CSP.MRI had important reference value in early diagnosis of CSP and the choice of treatment.

Objective To investigate the function of SD rats Schwann cells on the growth and differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs) when they are co-cultured in Transwell culture system. Methods The ADSCs harvested from SD rats were divided into 3 groups. Group A: ADSCs and Schwann cells were cultured in Transwell indirect co-culture system. Group B: ADSCs were induced by β-BME and BHA. Group C: a contrast group. The morphology of ADSCs was observed and immunohistology was pedormed. Results ADSCs of group A and group B were partly differentiated to the cells which had long neurite,and had a positive result in the NF staining, but negative in the GFAP staining. Group A shows no great difference in neurite length compared with group B(P < 0.05), and no great difference in cell quantity compared with group C (P < 0.05). Conclusion Schwann cells of SD rat have a growth supportive and neuronal differentiation inducing effect on ADSCs.

Objective To explore the microanatomy technique of the endoscopy-assisted extreme lateral supracerebellar infratentorial keyhole approach and clinical significance.Methods The extreme lateral supracerebellar infratentorial keyhole approach was imitated in 10 vascular perfusion adult cadaveric heads fixed in formalin,the dorsolateral mesencephalon region was dissected and observed by microscopy and neuroendoscopy from December 2012 to March 2013.Results The extreme lateral supracerebellar infratentorial keyhole approach could be fully exposed the ambient cisterns,the posteromedial tentorial incisura,the dorsolateral mesencephalon region,the trochlear nerve,the root of the trigeminal nerve,the superior cerebellar artery,the posterior cerebral artery and other important anatomical structures.The temporal lobe and parahippocampal gyrus could be exposed when the tentorial was incised.The application of neuroendoscopy could clearly reveal the trigeminal nerve and surrounding structures.Conclusion The extreme lateral supracerebellar infratentorial keyhole approach is suitable for the surgical resection in dorsolateral mesencephalon region.The application of neuroendoscopy can make up for the lack of the trigeminal nerve observed under microscopy and expand the operative field.

[Objective]To study the effect of repairing of rat peripheral nerve defect with engineering artificial nerve composed with Schwann cells and poly lactic glycoli aced(PLGA).[Method]Human Schwann cells were vaccinated into PLGA tube with polyglactin 910.Sixty SD rats were divided into 3 groups randomly with 20 rats in each one: group A,self-nerve graft;group B,Schwann cells artificial nerve;group C,pure PLGA.Evaluations of electrophysiological and histological examines were carried out 8 weeks ad 12 weeks after operation.[Result]The outcome of group B showed similar to group A in general and histological study,however it expressed slightly lower in electrophysiological study,muscle weight and nerve fiber quantity.Marked neuron could be found in spinal cord after group B had been traced.Large number of regeneration nerve fibers could be seen from electron microscope.[Conclusion]The tissue engineering artificial nerve composed with Schwann cells is able to repair 20 mm defects of peripheral nerve,and it has an approximate treatment effect to the self-nerve grafting.

Objective To analyze the detection modes of leprosy and their influencing factors and outcomes. Methods Based upon the nationwide registration of leprosy patients detected during 1981～ 1998, the profiles of these patients at detection were studied. Results The proportions of cases significantly correlated with calendar years in the detection by dermatologic clinic, contact check, clue survey and mass survey, showing a significant increases in percentage of cases detected through dermatologic clinic and contact check and decreases through clue survey and mass survey. Detection of leprosy cases through dermatologic clinic and voluntary reporting became the main modes of case－ finding during 1997－ 1998, accounting for 37.3％ and 28.6％ respectively, whereas contact check only accounted for 9.1％ . More MB patients were detected by voluntary reporting than PB, whereas detection by dermatologic clinic resulted in a significantly higher proportion (38.0％ ) in PB patients than in MB (33.5％ ). The voluntary reporting and clue survey resulted in higher proportions of detection in prefecture and county rural areas. In areas with good facilities of dermatologic services, significantly higher extent (75.9％ ) of cases were detected through dermatologic clinic, whereas the voluntary reporting and clue survey were main modes of case detection in endemic areas. A great majority of cases were confirmed by leprosy units even though they were detected by various modes. Only 6.5％ of leprosy cases were detected and consequently confirmed by doctors in dermatologic clinics. Conclusion This study emphasizes the importance of providing training on leprosy to the doctors in dermatologic clinics while continuously encouraging their involvement in leprosy control.
