This study was set up to observe the changes in stress and immune functions in upper abdominal surgery after general anesthesia. In thirty elective upper abdominal operation patients, general anesthesia was induced with propofol, fentanyl, scoline and maintained with isoflane and atrumium. Catecholamines(CA),cortisol,interleukin-2(IL-2) and soluble interleukin-2 receptor(sIL-2R) were measured before anesthesia, after induction of anesthesia,at the end of operation, and on the first and third postoperative days. The results showed that epinephrine(E),norepinephrine(NE) concentration increased at the end of operation and on the first postoperative day(P<0.01),Cortisol concentration decreased after anesthesia induction(P<0.05),IL-2 concentration decreased at the end of operation(P<0.05),and sIL-2R lever did not change. The investigation suggested that general anesthesia with propofol, fentanyl and isoflane can suppress CA and cortisol increase resulting from induction of anesthesia. There was no change in IL-2 level. However it can not suppress the increase of stress hormones and decrease of IL-2 due to operation. The stress response correlate with immune functions.

A method was developed for the determination of 39 polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) from mono- to hepta-brominated in coastal sediment by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The sample was extracted with a solution of dichloromethane: n-hexane( 1:1,V/V) ,followed by ultrasonic extraction for 60 min at 25℃. The clean-up step was optimized using silica gel and alumina. The detection limit of the method was in the range of 0.003 - 0.10μg/kg. The results indicate that the average recovery of the internal standard was from 66.2% to 118. 6%. The relative standard deviation RSD( % ) was from 0. 8 % to 18. 2%. The method for the detection of 39 PBDE congeners in coastal sediment was sensitive, high reproducible with satisfactory recoveries.

Objective To study the influence of serum containing Ziqi Ruangan Pill on inhibitory effect of alcohol LO2 and to investigate the regulation on apoptosis related genes and the protective mechanism for LO2. Methods Rabbit sera saline containing Ziqi Ruangan Pill was prepared. The apoptotic LO2 model was established by being cultured with alcohol. The effect of serum on the model was detected by MTT method. Identification of apoptosis was carried out using flow cytometry and Hoechst3325 fluorescent staining. The expression of apoptotic inducing gene,casepase3 and NF-?B was detected by Real-time RT PCR and Western-Blot. Results The serum containing Ziqi Ruangan Pill could regulate the expression of the casepase3,NF-?B and reduce the apoptosis. Conclusion Ziqi Ruangan Pill can protect the LO2 by regulating the expression of apoptosis stimulative gene casepase3 and NF-?B.

Objective:To make a synthetic comment on treatment of children cerebral palsy with acupuncture in recent 10 years in China. Methods:Related papers were gotten from the journals between 1999-2008 in Chinese journal full-test database and VIP information-Chinese technology journal database by computer retrieval. The collected 143 papers were analyzed from the terms of clinical acupoints selection, treatment methods, time, and mechanism, and then summarized the clinical effects of acupuncture in treating children cerebral palsy. Results:The acupoints selection was focus on scalp acupuncture functional area and body points(including scalp points).Beside acupuncture treatment, the combination of acupoint embedding therapy, acupoint injection, and massage were also used. The therapy time was different from 20min to 4h,and the treatment course was usually be counted by month. The effects of acupuncture treatment were considered to be significant through improving brain circulation and recovering brain cells' function. Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment had advantages in improving the child'limbs function, nevertheless further studies on the research methods, study design and mechanism were all needed.

Objective To study the expression site and the role of low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor(P75) in hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) of fibrotic human and rat liver. Methods Left lobe of liver was removed from CCl-4-induced rats fibrosis model and human fibrotic tissue sample was taken from liver puncture. The tissue specimen was routinely paraffin embedded and expression of P75 was detected by histochemical staining using polyclonal antibody against P75.Additionally,HSCs was cultivated and P75 was immunochemically assayed for P75 binding activity. Results P75 was seen abundantly on cell membrane of the cultured HSCs.In the fibrotic tissue of rat liver as well as human fibrotic liver P75 was also positively expressed.Similarly,P75 was found mainly a hepatocye surface in histochemical staining.P75 was not seen by histochemical staining in the normal tissue of human and rat liver. Conclusion P75 used as a new target for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis.

ResuIts After treatment, the ADL score of experimental group was significantly lower than that of control group ( P<0.05 ) , MMSE score of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05).The adverse reactions in both groups were minor.ConcIusion Leptin has good curative effect in treatment of Parkinson disease, and could significantly improve the neurological function of patients, with mild adverse reactions.

10.The evaluation on the treatment of benign primary blepharospasm by acupuncture of“streng thening spleen andd”ismtetrhi obd uCt ihneng
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(4):307-310

Objective To observe and compare the clinical effect of treating benign primary blepharospasm(BPB)with acupuncture and injection of type A botulinum toxin. Methods Between January 2012 to July 2013, 80 cases of BPB patients in ophthalmology of Tongren hospital were randomly recruited into a acupuncture group and a control group, with 40 cases in either group. The acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture on points of strengthening spleen and distributing liver and the control group was treated by type A botulinum toxin injection around effected eyes. Then effective rate, visual impairment of quality of life scale and self-rating depressive scale were tested after the treatments. Results The total effective rate of acupuncture was 95%, which was better than injection with type A botulinum toxin, with statistical difference(P<0.01). There was no statistical difference in visual impairment of quality of life scale in both groups after the treatment compared with before treatment(P>0.05). Visual impairment score was (121.88±30.16) and (121.00±28.72) in the acupuncture group and control group respectively before the treatment, However, acupuncture group(70.00±22.88)reduced less than control group(95.25±28.39)after the treatment, and there was statistical difference(P<0.01). There was no statistical difference in self-rating depressive scale in groups before treatments(P>0.05), (acupuncture group was(15.90±7.99) and control group was(15.75±6.26). However, acupuncture group(10.40±4.95)reduced less than control group(13.38±6.32)after the treatment, and there was statistical difference(P<0.01). Conclusion It proved that the therapy of acupuncture with strengthening spleen and distributing liver method for benign primary blepharospasm has a better result than injection with type A Botulinum toxin. Moreover, acupuncture can promote optical function and prevent depression for BPB patients.
