Objective To explore the effects of dialectical nursing on recurrent oral ulcers in children. Methods One hundred and eighty-eight cases of children with recurrent oral ulcer hospitalized from March 2013 to June 2015 were randomized into study group and control group using random digit table with 94 cases in each group. The control group was intervened with the modern medical care pattern and the study group was with dialectical nursing care of Chinese medicine besides the modern medical care pattern. The two groups were compared in terms of the curative effect, time for ulcer healing, pains and level of the children′s and parents′satisfaction. Results The curative effect in the study group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.01). The time of the study group was shorter than that of the control one (P<0.001). The level of pains was lower but the degree of satisfaction was higher than that in the control group (all P<0.01). Conclusions The dialectical nursing care combined with modern medical care pattern is effective in treating recurrent oral ulcers in children. It can shorten the healing time and enhance the satisfaction. It can have high value of clinical application and promotion.

Objective To investigate the effect of UCP2 on cell proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis in cervical squamous carcinoma. Methods Plasmid?mediated downregulation of UCP2 was obtained in cervical cancer cell lines. MTT, flow cytometry and transwell chamber assay were conducted to detect the ability of proliferation, apoptosis and metastasis. Characteristics of UCP2 protein was analyzed by bioinformatics methods. Results (1)UCP2 was verified to be downregulated by qRT?PCR and Western blotting assay.(2)MTT, apoptosis assay and transwell chamber assay showed that the proliferation of SiHa cell was significantly inhibited, and the apoptosis rate was significantly increased, and metastasis was markedly deduced (P < 0.05). (3) Bioinformatic analysis showed that UCP2 was located in mitochondria with several phosphorylation sites, and UCP2 interacted with other proteins to produce biological effects. Conclusion UCP2 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer, and it is expected to be a new target for the early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2015;(6):986-992
The metabolic properties of cancer cells diverge significantly from those of normal cells. Energy production in cancer cells is abnormally dependent on aerobic glycolysis. In addition, cancer cells have other metabolic characteristics, such as increasing fatty acid synthesis and glutamine metabolism. Emerging evidences show that many key enzymes in dysregulated Warburg-like glucose metabolism, fatty acid synthesis and glutaminolysis are linked to drug resistance in cancer treatment. For example, lactate dehydrogenase A contributes to paclitaxel/trastuzuma resistance in breast cancer, fatty acid synthase is linked to docetaxel/trastuzumab/adriamycin resistance in breast cancer, and glutaminolysis is linked to cisplatin resistance in gastric cancer. Therefore, targeting cellular metabolism may improve the response to cancer therapeutics, and the combination of chemotherapeutic drugs with cellular metabolism inhibitors may overcome drug resistance in cancer therapy. This review discussed the relationship between dysregulated cellular metabolism and chemotherapy resistance, and the way in which targeting of metabolic enzymes can help overcome the resistance to cancer therapy or enhance the efficacy of common therapeutic agents.

China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(11):-
Objective:to study and solve some difficult problems in identification of medicinal plants in Selaginellaceae, and research the phylogenetic relationships among them. Methods:All the spectra were collected by using a Fourier transform near-infrared spectrometer equipped with a fiber-optic probe and a InGaAs detector for reflectance measurements. All the samples were scanned from 9 000 cm-1 to 4 000 cm-1,and each sample spectrum was obtained as an automatic mean of 32 times. The samples were measured 5 times. The average spectra obtained were transformed to first-order derivative spectra, and the latter were computerized with OPUS/INDENT operation software to conduct cluster analysis. Results:According to the information obtained from spectrograms and dendrograms, two types of S.heterostachys and two types of S.delicatula were identified as the same species respectively, and the variable type of the latter should be treated as a variety.S.tamariscina and S.pulvinata have very close relationship, indicating it is reasonable that they were applied as the same medicinal materials Juanbai. There is close phylogenetic relationship between S.moellendorffii and S.delicatula.This is also accord with the fact that they were used as the same folk herbal medicine. Conclusion:It shows that NIRS can be conveniently and quickly used for authentication of the medicinal plant species, resolving some correlative difficult problems, and inducing certain relationships between interspecies.
