Objective To lay foundation for the establishment of national standards of electroacupuncture devices by exploring the problems existing in their clinical application. Methods An analysis was made of the models, stimulus waveforms and complex waveform characteristics, stimulus frequencies, current intensities and pulse widths of electroacupuncture devices reported in clinical literature. The actual output frequencies of three kinds of electroacupuncture devices were measured using RM6240C multi-channel physiological signal acquisition and processing system to observe the accuracy of their actual output parameters and summarize the problems existing in electroacupuncture devices. Results The reports on electroacupuncture device parameters showed that of the five indicators analyzed statistically, the frequency of described waveforms was the highest (96.2%); the frequencies of described models (88.8%), stimulus frequencies (61.7) and current intensities (11.2%) were next; the frequency of described pulse widths was the lowest (1.8%). The electroacupuncture device most commonly used clinically was G6805 series, but the subtypes were confused because of many manufacturers. The waveform was described more frequently but complex waveform characteristics were less. The difference of frequencies of clinical application of electroacupuncture was larger. They were from 0.8-400 Hz but described less accurately. The output frequency was indicated by the range in most of the literature. The output adjusters of the three kinds of electroacupuncture devices did not correspond to their actual output frequencies. There was a larger difference between the actual range of output frequencies and the adjustable frequency range indicated in the instruction. Conclusions Electroacupuncture devices have the problems of lacking a display unit of actual output parameter values, the adjusting parameters of the knob adjustable controller being not precise enough and the actual values of output frequencies not reaching the rated range in the instruction.

International Eye Science 2015;(3):459-463
· As a member of the stem cells family, mesenchymal stem cells ( MSCs ) have been proved to be effective on the repair of tissue injury. Although the specific mechanism is still unclear, MSCs do have a promising future in retinal disease therapy. The results of the current research are diverse. We still have an urgent and long way to explore the details of MSCs.So it’s significant for further understanding of MSCs to analyze the possible mechanism and influencing factors.
6.Analysis and discussion on current condition of acupuncture clinical research registration.
Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(6):605-607
To introduce the international registration condition of acupuncture clinical research. With the examples of World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform and the U. S. National Institutes of Health Clinical Registration Platform, the registration method and current condition of acupuncture clinical trials in international clinical trials registration platform were analyzed. The results indicate that the number of acupuncture clinical trials registration is gradually increased and the registration number from China is on the rise as well. But most domestic acupuncture clinical researches haven't been registered arid the researchers' valuing degree for clinical trials registration and methodology research needs to be improved.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2010;43(2):79-81
A 15-year-old male patient presented with intermittent red secretion on the face, upper limbs, nail grooves, fingers and toes for more than 10 months. Ten months prior to the presentation, red secre-tions began to emerge on the face, especially ears, eyes and the surrounding area of nose, following a severe psychical stimulus. The attack typically lasted 2-3 minutes before spontaneous stop with the formation of blood crusts. The frequency was 1-4 per day during the attack of hemathidrosis which might last 1 week. The interval was irregular and varied from 10 days to months. There was no blood stasis, bruise or wound left on the skin after the wipe of bloodstain, and no itch or pain was complained of. Before the secretion of bloody sweat, the patient was always fidgety, irritable, and sometimes excited or difficult to sleep, but the secretion never occurred at night. After several episodes, bloody sweat also appeared in succession and symmetrically on the forearms, extensor crura, fingers, toes and perionychium. The cell components of bloody sweat were identical to those of peripheral blood. The patient was diagnosed as hemathidrosis. No abnormality was found in labora-tory tests, histopathological examination, electron microscopy or radiology. No relief of symptoms was achieved after treatment with vitamin C, rutoside and oryzanol. Hemathidrosis is a rare disease, and to clarify its patho-genesis is essential for its treatment.

BACKGROUND: Biliary complications are the common complication of liver transplantation. However, it is difficult to find the complications, since no obvious characteristic signs on the patients. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), especially, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) may provide a comprehensive evaluation of the functions and complications of the transplanted liver as a safe, noninvasive and exact technique.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the manifestation of biliary system after liver transplantation by MRCP and its value of diagnosis of biliary complications.DESIGN: Comparative observation.SETTING: Medical Imaging Center, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University.PARTICIPANTS: A total of 13 male liver transplantation patients aged from 40-58 years, who received imaging examination at Medical Imaging Center, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University from January 2003 to January 2005, were enrolled. Original causes of liver failure included cirrhosis (n =11) and primal hepatic carcinoma (n =2). Ten received orthotopic liver transplantation, while 3 received piggyback orthotopic liver transplantation. Anastomotic mode of bile duct was common bile duct end-to-end anastomosis. The interval between transplantation and MRI examination ranged from 15 days to 1 year. All patients knew the items of examination and agreed to participate in the experiment.METHODS: Thirteen patients with orthotopic liver transplantation underwent turbo spin-echo (TSE) and fast low angle shot (FLASH), MRCP, Gd-DTPA enhanced MRI to analyze the characteristics of each imaging after liver transplantation.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The imaging findings of the reestablished bile duct and complications of bile duct at MRCP.RESULTS: The diameters of bile duct and caliber were normal, no stricture on anastomotic stoma in 3 patients.Thick-section planes of MRCP did not develop biliary duct of one case. Biliary dilation occurred in 8 patients. There were 5 cases of biliary strictures and 2 cases of choledochus stone. Mucocele of bile duct remnant was identified in 2 cases.Bile leakage occurred in 1 case after T-tube was removed. Rejection reaction occurred in 2 cases.CONCLUSION: MRCP not only can display the image of reestablished biliary tract after liver transplantation, but also can exactly diagnose complications rapidly.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of erythro po ietin on prevention hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) and activation of Casp ase-3 in Hippocampal CA1 region in newborn rats. Methods7 d Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into hypoxic-ischemic (HI) group (n=11), recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) treated group (n=11), and sham-op erated control group (n=9). HIBD was established in both HI group and rhEPO treated group. The number of rats animals with spontaneous left-turn in two gro ups was counted respectively at subsequent different time: 0, 6, 12 and 24 h. Th e expression and distribution of activated Caspase-3 was detected by immunohist ochemistry analysis. The positive cells were calculated in hippocampal CA1 regio n of every groups.ResultsTwo rats in HI group and one in rhE PO treated group died from continuous convulsion during hypoxia. all survival ra ts in up two groups had spontaneously left-turn Compared with HI group, the r ate of spontaneous left-turn was dramatically lower in rhEPO treated group (HI group vs rhEPO treated group, 1/10 vs 6/9, P=0.0198) at 24 h after hypox ia. The positive stained cells were distributed dispersively in the brain of con trol group, and more intensively in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex of the o ther two groups. In CA1 region, the number of positive cells in HI group, was si gnificant higher than that in control group ( 41.38 ?2.09 vs 10.52?2.70 , P
