Returning astronauts had experienced decreased immune function and increased vulnerability to infection during spaceflights. In immune system, cell adhesion molecules(CAMs) play an important role in regulating immune response in normal physiological conditions.Studying changes of CAMs under microgravity could not only understand the effects of microgravity and its molecular mechanism on immune function, but also help to study the relative mechanism about cell sensation of microgravity. In this review,we will introduce some downstream signal pathways, gene expression and the effects on cell functions under microgravity. All of them are regulated by cell adhesion molecules related with the immune system.

Objective To observe interference effect of Ambroxol (AMB) hydrochloride injection on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in rats caused by cigarette smoking exposure. Methods Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) rat models were established by simple cigarette smoking exposure, interfered with AMB inhalation.Rats were divided into three groups.Cell counts were examined routinely in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).The concentrations of Matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)、interleukin-8 (IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) in BALF were measured.Quantitative analysis of pulmonary mean linear intercept (MLI),mean alveolar numbers (MAN),pulmonary alveolar area (PAA) and the relative area of elastic fibers were measured. Results Concentrations of MMP-9,IL-8 and TNF-? in BALF of COPD rats were positively correlated with total counts of white blood cell (WBC),percentage of neutrophil and absolute counts of neutrophil in BALF.Pulmonary elastic fibers were severely damaged in COPD rats;MLI,PAA were higher than those in control group (P0.05).Conclusion Simple cigarette smoking can cause COPD in rats.MMP-9,IL-8 and TNF-? in airway and alveoli pulmonum probably participate in the destruction of elastic fibers and forming of COPD.AMB inhalation can inhibit release of IL-8 and TNF-? in airway and alveoli pulmonum of COPD rats, alleviate the inflammation of local airway caused by cigarette smoking, playing a role in preventing and curing experimental COPD of rats.

Objective To explore the mechanism of Cryptococcus neoformans mutant in CNLAC1and investigate the difference of CNLAC1between wild type(Mel+ )and the mutant (Mel- ).Methods The ab-normal PCR DNA product of Cryptococcus neoformans was cloned into sequencing vector PG EM-T for se-quencing.An expression vector was c onstructed for efficient expressio n in E.coli DH 5? .The gene was sequenced. Results The cloned DNA sequence was found to b e different between wild type(Mel+)and the mutant (Mel-)(between 1715bp and 2617bp).The differences were not only in len gth,but also in base sequence.Con-clusion The mechanism of the mutant in CNLAC1might be a change of sequence(between 1715bp and 2617bp),and not a DNA deletion. This finding might provide us a target gene for the prognosis and treatment of cryptococcosis.

BACKGROUND:Bacterial adhesion is closely related to the surface properties of cobalt-chromium al oys, and therefore, the surface modification technology has become the focus of research in this area. OBJECTIVE:To verify whether the cobalt-chromium al oy with zirconium nitride coating can improve the bacterial adhesion of metal denture materials. METHODS:Magnetron sputtering deposition method was used to plate zirconium nitride film on the surface of cobalt-chromium al oys (experimental group), and cobalt-chromium al oy specimens uncoated served as control group. Streptococcus mutans, Candida albicans, and Actinomyces viscosus were respectively inoculated on the two kinds of test specimen, and at end of culture, the colony counting was done. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the bacterial adhesion test, the number of colonies of three kinds of bacteria in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The number of bacterial adhesion in the control group was significantly higher than that in the experimental group. These findings indicate that the cobalt-chromium al oy covered with zirconium nitride coating can significantly reduce the adhesion amount of Streptococcus mutans, Candida albicans and Actinomyces viscosus, and thus improve bacterial adhesion properties of cobalt-chromium al oys.

Objective :
To analyze the screening results of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and HIV co-infections in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020, so as to provide insights into improving the tuberculosis control strategy.
Methods :
Data pertaining to HIV antibody testing among tuberculosis patients, MTB testing among HIV/AIDS patients, treatment of patients with MTB and HIV co-infections and prognosis of anti-tuberculosis therapy were collected from the annual working reports for the management of MTB and HIV co-infections in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020, and the screening, treatment and prognosis of MTB and HIV co-infections were analyzed.
Results :
A total of 35 385 newly identified tuberculosis patients were reported in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020, and there were 5 854 cases receiving HIV testing. The annual mean percentage of HIV screening was 17.57%, and the HIV screening rate appeared a tendency towards a rise in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020 (χ2trend=4 926.309, P<0.001). Eleven patients were tested positive for HIV, with an annual mean HIV positive rate of 0.19%. A total of 26 043 HIV/AIDS patients received MTB screening, with an annual mean screening rate of 95.78%, and the annual screening rate of MTB appeared a tendency towards a rise in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020 (χ2trend=79.077, P<0.001). A total of 81 tuberculosis patients were detected, with an annual mean detection rate of 0.31%. Among the 92 patients with MTB and HIV co-infections, there were 81 patients receiving anti-tuberculosis and antiviral therapy simultaneously (88.04%), 8 cases receiving anti-tuberculosis therapy alone (8.70%), 2 cases receiving antiviral therapy alone (2.17%) and 1 case without therapy (1.09%). Among the 89 MTB and HIV co-infected patients receiving anti-tuberculosis therapy, 27 cases were cured (30.34%), 53 cases completing the course of treatment (59.55%) and 7 cases died.
Conclusions
The MTB screening rate among HIV/AIDS patients and the percentage of MTB and HIV co-infected patients with successful anti-tuberculosis treatment were high in Ningbo City from 2012 to 2020; however, the HIV screening rate should be improved among tuberculosis patients.
