Objective To compare the efficacy of the laryngeal mask airway Classic (CLMA), Streamlined Liner of Pharyngeal Airway (SLIPA) and laryngeal mask airway ProSeal (PLMA) in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery. Methods One hundred and twenty-three ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients aged 20-64 yr undergoing elective laparoscopic surgery were randomly divided into 3 groups: CLMA group (group C, n =41 ), SLIPA group (group S, n =42) and PLMA group (group P, n =40). Laryngeal mask was inserted after induction of anesthesia with sufentanil 0.3 μg/kg, atracurium 0.5 mg/kg and propofol 2 mg/kg. Mll the patients were ventilated with intermittent positive-pressure ventilation. Anesthesia was maintained with contiunous infusion of propofol 6-8 mg· kg-1· h-1 and with supplementary administration of sufentsnil 0.1-0.2 μg/kg and atracurium 0.2 mg/kg as required. The degree of difficulty in inserting the laryngeal mask was evaluated. The rate of successful placement at first attempt, device placement time, recovery time and complications were recorded . Peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) and the number of patients with an airway sealing pressure less than PIP were recorded before pneumoperitoneum and when intra-abdominal pressure achieved 12 mm Hg. Results The placement was easier and the placement time and recovery time were significantly shorter in group S, and the placement time was significantly longer, the airway sealing pressure was significantly higher and the number of patients with an airway sealing pressure less than PIP was lower in group P than in group C ( P < 0.05). The placement time and recovery time were significantly longer, the placement was harder, the airway sealing pressure was significantly higher, and the number of patients with an airway sealing pressure less than PIP was lower in group P than in group S ( P < 0.05). PIP was significantiy higher when intra-abdominal pressure achieved 12 mm Hg than that before pneumoperitoneum in all the three groups ( P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications and rate of successful placement at first attempt among the three groups ( P > 0.05). Conclusion All the three airway devices can provide adequate ventilation during operation, with fewer complications. SLIPA placement is easiest. PLMA can assure good airway sealing and is most suitable for patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery.

This research was to study the regulation of intravenous administration of human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells (HUCBMSCs) on secretion of neural specific protein in rats after traumatic brain injury (TBI), and to explore its mechanisms promoting the recovery of neurological function. The TBI models of rats were established. We then injected HUCBMSCs, labelled by Brdu (5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine), into the TBI rats via the tail vein using modified Feeney free-falling method. The levels of neural biochemical indicators (serum S100β protein, NSE, LDH, CK) of rats were detected in shamed group, injury group and HUCBMSCs-transplanted group. And the morphological changes of brain tissue of rats in the three groups were observed by using HE staining under light microscope. During the whole experiment no immunosuppressant was used for the four groups. From the research, transplant-related death of the rats was not found in transplantation group. In the injury group, rises were found in contents of serum S100β protein, NSE, LDH, CK in the early stage after the rats were injured, which were much higher than those in shamed group at correspondent time point (P < 0.01). In HUCBMSCs-transplanted group, although these biochemistry indexes were found rising for a short period in the early stage, along with the time, these indexes were obviously lower than in those injury group (P < 0.05). Under light microscopy pathological changes of rats in HUCBMSCs-transplanted group were much slighter than those in injury group. It was well concluded that in the situation of no immuno-suppressants, the intravenous-injected HUCBMSCs could reduce the secretion of serum S100β protein, NSE, LDH, CK, promote the repair of tissue injury effectively, and promote the functional recovery of neurons.

OBJECTIVETo study the molecular epidemiology of Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolates from clinical and environmental samples collected in Hangzhou area during 2000 and 2002.
METHODSV. parahaemolyticus isolates from food-poisoning, sporadic diarrhea patients and seafood in market in Hangzhou during 2000 and 2002 were serotyped. From clinical isolates of serotype O3:K6 and environmental isolates of serotype O3:KUT, virulence genes, tdh and trh, were examined by PCR. Molecular typings [including ribotyping, random amplified polymorphic DNA analysis (RAPD), enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus PCR (ERIC-PCR)], were also performed.
RESULTSAmong 13 food-poisoning outbreaks caused by V. parahaemolyticus, O3:K6 strains with tdh positive and trh negative were detected in 11 episodes (84.6%), and O4:K8 strains with tdh positive and trh negative were responsible for other 2 outbreaks (15.4%). In 34 V. parahaemolyticus isolates from sporadic diarrhea patients, O3:K6, O4:K8, and O1:KUT strains with tdh positive and trh negative were detected with proportions of 26.5% (9/34), 17.6% (6/34), and 38.2% (13/34), respectively, and other 6 strains were not able to be serotyped. Of 64 isolates from seafood in which both tdh and trh were negative except trh was positive in one O1:KUT strain, 37 belonged to 7 serotypes except O3:K6 or O4:K8, and 9 were not able to be serotyped. The fingprintings of ribotyping, ERIC-PCR, and RAPD showed that almost all of O3:K6 isolates from food-poisoning and sporadic diarrhea patients were genetically close to each other and there were obviously genetical difference between O3:K6 isolates from clinic and O3:KUT isolates from environment.
CONCLUSIONThere was a distinct serotype distribution between V. parahaemolyticus isolates from clinic patients and seafood. One group of close related V. parahaemolyticus O3:K6 strains with tdh positive and trh negative seemed to be prevailing in Hangzhou in those years.

Objeetive To construct the cell DNA damage models for the human CML K562 cell line before or after imarlnib mesylate treatment and observe the repairing process dynamically for investigating the iniluence of imatinib mesylate on the repair function of K562 cells after cell DNA danlage. Methods The MTT assay was used to estimate the optimal pretreatment concentration of imatinib mesylate in K562 cells and Western blot was employed to evaluate the phosphorylation status in K562 cells after imatinib mesylate treatment to estimate BCR/ABL tyrosine kinase inhibition by imatinib mesylate. The comet assay was used to detect the DNA damage induced by hydrogen peroxide at various concentrations in K562 cells with or without the pretreatment of imatinib mesylate.A dynamic observation on the repairing process after cell DNA damage was made by the comet assay. Results The pretreatment by imatinib mesylate for K562 cells was optimized to be at a final concentration of 1 μmol/L for 24 h as revealed by the MTT assay additionly imatinib mesylate treatment at this concentration could effectively inhibit the phosphorylation of the BCR-ABL fusion protein at Tyr177(Deusityrate 0.100±0.018).When compared with the control group(Deusityrate 0.425±0.039),the BCR/ABL phosphorylation at Tyr177 was significantly decreased by (77. 11±5.59) % (t=4. 57,P<0. 05). The cell DNA damage models for both imatinib mesylate-nontreated and imatinib mesylate-pretreated K562 cell groups were constructed with hydrogen peroxide treatment at a final concentration of 10 μmol/L for 10 min at 4℃ as confirmed by the comet assay. When compared with the control imatinib mesylatenontreatod K562 cell group, the time duration required for the DNA repair in imatinib mesylate-pretreated K562 cell group was significantly prolonged (F= 97.79,P<0. 05 ). Conclusions The cell DNA damage models for the leukemic K562 cell groups before or after imatinib mesylate treatment were successfully constructed and the tyrosine kinase inhibitor imatinib mesylate for BCR/ABL fusion protein was revealed to attenuate the DNA repair capacity of the K562 cells after DNA damage.
