Objective To investigate the feasibility and value of combined administration of rapamycin and low dose of cyclosporin A in kidney transplantation recipients. Methods Twenty-five recipients who received their kidney transplantations for 2 months to 10 years were transferred to a new immunosuppression regimen of combined administration of rapamycin,low dose of cyclosporin A and prednisone. During the clinical observation,the average serum trough level of cyclosporin A was maintained between 0.042 and 0.083 μmol/L,and the average serum trough level of rapamycin was controled to 4～8 μg/L. Meanwhile, the dosage of immunosuppressive drugs was adjusted properly according to the white blood cells counting,liver function,blood lipid level and clinical settings.Twenty-five kidney transplant recipients with usual immunosuppression regimen of cyclosporin A in combination with MMF and prednisone served as controls. Results Druing a follow-up period of 2 to 8 months,no acute rejection events were found in this group. All the recipients survived well with functional renal grafts. Two patients in the experimental group quitted during the follow-up. One was incurred to serious pulmonary infection diagnosed as cytomegalovirus infection,and another was sufferred from persistent unknown fever. Other main adverse effects included leucopenia, hyperlipemia and dental ulcer,similarly as control group. No significant abnormal liver function event was found in this group. Conclusions This new immunosuppression regimen of combined administration of rapamycin,low dose cyclosporin A and prednisone in kidney transplantation recipients could avoid or diminish the adverse and toxic effects of calcineurin inhibitors,mainlain well-functional allografts and not increase the incidence of severe untoward reactions. Meanwhile,the costs for taking medicine were also significantly reduced with this regimen. Therefore,it would be an ideal and optimal immunosuppressive maintainence regimen.

C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is referred to disease which is out of control of complement activation,degradation and deposition,then leads to predominant C3 deposition in glomerular and glomerular injury.The study found that C3b amplification in the circulation and/or glomerular basement membrane were the key factors that cause immune disorders.Combined with clinical and experimental research,this paper mainly discusses the pathogenesis,clinical characteristics,and treatment of the disease.

Objective To explore the correlation between cognitive ability and motor ability in stroke patients.Methods 30 stroke patients were assessed with the 3 m Timed Up and Go Test (TUG). The anticipated time by patients and the actual time were recorded, and their difference was caculated, named as the cognitive error. They were also assessed with Trail Making Test-Part A (TMT-A). The actual time of TUG, cognitive error and the time of TMT-A was compared among different groups of Brunnstrom stage of lower limb, and their correlation was analyzed. Results There was a significant difference between the actual time of TUG between Brunnstrom stage Ⅲ and Ⅴ (F=4.600, P<0.05). There was positive correlation between actual time of TUG and cognitive error（r=0.844, P<0.01）, time of TMT-A and cognitive error（r=0.508, P<0.01）, time of TMT-A and actual time of TUG （r=0.414, P<0.05）. Conclusion Motor ability of stroke patients can be influenced by deficient attention and motor cognition.

Objective: To optimize the decolorization technology of activated carbon for the plant pigment in Bletilla striata polysaccharide.Methods: Using L 9 (3 4) orthogonal test with activated carbon as the decolorizer, the amount of activated carbon, decolorization temperature, decolorization liquid pH and decolorization time were investigated.The decolorization rate and polysaccharide retention rate were investigated.The decolorization rate and polysaccharide retention rate were taken as the indices.Results: The optimum decolorization technology was as follows: the amount of activated carbon was 1.0%, the decolorization temperature was 40 ℃, the pH value was 5 and the decolorization time was 30 min.Under those conditions, the decolorization rate of Bletilla striata polysaccharide was 91.3% and the retention rate of polysaccharide was 80.6%.Conclusion: The selected decolorization technology of activated carbon can make Bletilla striata polysaccharide get the best decolorizing effect.

Objective To investigate the relationship between IgG antibody titer in pregnant women with maternal-fetal ABO blood incompatibility and hemolytic disease of fetuses and newborns.Methods From January 31 2009 to January 31 2010,1269 singleton pregnant women who were suspected to have maternal fetal ABO blood incompatibility in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,Southwest Hospital,Third Military University were collected.Anti-A or anti-B IgG titers of them were detected at 28-30 gestational age,and umbilical cord blood were taken when delivery and hemolytic disease of the newborn serological test were done to diagnose hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN).The relationship between the titers and incidence of fetal or neonatal hemolytic disease was retrospectively analyzed by Kendall tau rank correlation.Results No IgG of anti-A or anti-B in serum were found in 58.4％ (741/1269) pregnant women,while the antibody titer of 5.1％ (65/1269) pregnant women were more than or equal to 1 ∶ 128.When they were tested again at 36 gestational week,the titer of 17 cases increased twice but lower than 1 ∶ 512.No signs of intrauterine hemolysis,such as edema,ascites and pleural effusion,were found.Three hundred and eighty neonates (29.9％,380/1269) were diagnosed as HDN.Among which,12 cases (3.2％,12/380) showed mild anemia and (or) jaundice within 24 hours after delivery.There was positive correlation between incidence of neonatal hemolysis and antibody titer(Tb=-0.293,P＜0.01).The incidence of HDN increased from 85.4％ (35/41) in women with antibody titer of 1 ∶ 128 to 5/5 inwomen with antibody titer at 1 ∶ 512 (x2=108.906,P＜0.01).Among 380 HDN neonates,322 cases were transferred to neonatal intensive care unit for phototherapy based comprehensive therapy,and two underwent exchange transfusion.All patients were cured.Conclusions The intrauterine hemolysis incidence of patients with suspected maternal-fetal ABO blood incompatibility is very low,and no special care is required during pregnancy.Anti-A or anti-B tests during pregnancy is helpful in early diagnosis and management of HDN.

Objective To study the apoptotic activity of hydroxycamptothecin (HCFT) against human gastric carcinoma and its mechanism of action.Methods The apoptotic activity of HCPT against gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells was detected by MTT assay.The apoptosis occurrence was determined by Annexin V/PI staining and flow cytometry analysis.The mRNA expression of Bmi-1 was detected by real-time PCR analysis.Western blot analysis was used to detect the protein expression of Bmi-1.Results The IC50 values of HCPT against gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells was (4.87 ± 0.35) μ mol/L.After treatment with 0,5,10,20 μ mol/L HCPT for 48 h,the percent of apoptosis was elevated from (1.62 ± 0.37)％ to (21.45 ±4.54)％,(36.67 ±5.38)％,(54.26 ±7.14)％ and the 2-△Ct values of Bmi-1 mRNA was decreased from 0.614 ±0.022 to 0.445 ±0.018,0.376 ±0.012,0.215 ±0.010,there had significant difference among the different treatment (P ＜ 0.01).Treated with 0,5,10,20 μ mol/L HCPT for 48 h,the protein expression of Bmi-1 was down regulated by HCPT treatment in a dose-dependent manner by Western blot analysis.Conclusion HCPT shows effective activity to induce apoptosis in gastric carcinoma cells,which is mainly related to the down regulation of Bmi-1.

A retrospective analysis was conducted for male Han patients aged 46 years or above undergoing serum test of total prostate specific antigen (tPSA) at our hospital from 2007 to 2009.Among them,there were 109 patients with complete clinical data (including a history of hypertension and dyslipidemia),including 36 type 2 diabetics and 73 non-diabetics.For type 2 diabetes and non-diabetes groups,the median values (lower quartile,upper quartile) of serum tPSA test results were 1.01 (0.44,3.43) μg/L and 2.26 (1.04,5.48) μg/L (t =-2.65,P ＜0.01) respectively.The serum level of tPSA in type 2 diabetics was significantly lower than that in non-diabetics.

Objective To investigate the change in the proportion of NK or NKT cells in the peripheral blood of patients with HBV associated acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF) .Methods the frequency of NK or NKT cells in the blood of 25 healthy controls(HC) ,40 patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and 26 HBV-ACLF patients was detected by flow cytometry .The differ-ences in the proportion of NK and NKT cells among the three groups were analyzed by SPSS software and the correlation was ana-lyzed between the frequence of NK or NKT cells and HBV markers and the level of liver function .Results the proportion of NK cells in HC ,CHB ,or HBV-ACLF group was (15 .0 ± 6 .0)% ,(11 .4 ± 6 .8)% ,(8 .9 ± 6 .7)% respectively ,and the difference be-tween the HBV-ACLF group and HC or CHB group was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .And for the NKT cells ,its frequence in the HC ,CHB ,or HBV-ACLF group was (1 .9 ± 1 .3)% ,(4 .3 ± 3 .7)% ,(5 .4 ± 8 .6)% respectively ,and there was significant difference between the HBV-ACLF group and HC group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion The proportion of NK cells in HBV-ACLF has a significant decline ,while NKT cells has a significant increases .it indicate that NK or NKT cells might be play a certain role in the HBV-ACLF development process .

Emodin is one of the main active ingredient of Rheum palmatum, and has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and other effects. In recent years, it arouse concern since it has a significant anti-tumor effect with low toxicity. In this paper we mainly report the anti-cancer effects of emodin according to the studies of the past five years, including four parts such as inhibit tumor growth, inhibit migration and invasion, enhance the efficacy of combination therapy, increase chemosensitivity and attenuated side effects. We hope that our work may provide a reference for further study.
