Objective To assess the behavior of children with tic disorder (TD),and to analyze the behavioral characteristics among children with TD at different clinic conditions. Methods Sixty-three children with TD were evaluated with Child behavior checklist (CBCL).ANOVA and t-test were used to analyze the difference in the total and individual scores of CBCL in the children classified according to the different clinical types, the severity of TD,and comorbid attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Results There were no significant differences among the total and individual scores of CBCL in the patients of the different clinic types( P < 0.05 ) ;the scores of body complain in the patients in moderate to severe conditions (4.15 ± 2.34) were higher than that of those in mild condition ( 2.68 ± 2.22 ) ( t =- 2.540,P =0.014) ; the scores of attention problem (9.94 ± 3.57 ),disciplinary offence ( 3.94 ± 3.06 ),aggressive behavior ( 15.39 ± 5.12 ),exportoriented behavior problems ( 13.98 ± 7.34)and behavior problem (47.89 ± 17.51 )in TD comorbid ADHD were higher than in simple TD group ( 7.31 ± 3.34,2.44 ± 2.22,7.24 ± 4.93,9.78 ± 6.55,37.07 ± 17.98 ) ( t =- 2.774,- 2.166,- 1.930,- 1.956,- 2.174,P =0.007,0.034,0.048,0.04 1,0.034 ).Conclusion Children with TD at different clinical conditions have varied behavioral problems and behavioral characteristics, while comorbid ADHD is the most significant factor to affect TD patient's behaviors.

Objective To evaluate the precision of BREEZE~(TM) glucose monitor and correlation of glucose measurements between fingertip capillary whole blood glucose(CBG)using BREEZE~(TM) glucose monitor and venous plasma glucose(VPG)using autoanalyzer. Methods All samples of venous plasma and fingertip blood from 188 diabetes or non-diabetes patients were detected for glucose level at fasting,30,60 and 120 min postprandial.BREEZE~(TM) glucose monitor and autoanalyzer measured CBG and VPG respectively.Intra-and inter- coefficients of variations were determined using 10 BREEZE~(TM) glucose monitors with normal, slight high and high glucose levels for the three lots of strips. Results The correlation coefficients between CBG and VPG were all higher than 0.950 at fasting and different postprandial time.98.94% of all measurements were in the A zone when using error-grid analysis. The relevant differences between CBG and VPG were less than 5% at different blood glucose concentrations. The intra-and inter-coefficients of variations of blood glucose values at different blood glucose concentrations using different lots of strips were within 5%.Conclusion BREEZE~(TM) glucose monitor provides high accurate and precise glucose readings on fasting and different postprandial time points over a variety of blood glucose concentrations.
3.A Comparison of Patient-Controlled Analgesia with Oxycodone and Morphine After Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Surgery
Journal of Surgical Academia 2018;8(2):17-22
We compared the analgesic profile between patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) using oxycodone and morphine in post total abdominal hysterectomy patients. Eighty-four ASA I or II patients, aged 18 to 65 years who underwent total abdominal hysterectomy were recruited into this prospective, double blind, randomised controlled study. They were randomised to receive either PCA oxycodone 0.7 mg per bolus or PCA morphine 1 mg per bolus for postoperative pain relief. At the end of surgery, all patients received IV morphine 0.1 mg/kg and skin incision was infiltrated with 20 mls of bupivacaine 0.25%. Post-operative pain scores, opioids consumptions, sedation scores and side effects were assessed upon arrival and at 30 minutes after arrival to recovery area, as well as at 6 hours and 24 hours after the operation in the ward. Patients’ overall satisfaction was also assessed 24 hours postoperatively. No significant differences were observed in terms of postoperative pain scores, opioids consumption, sedation scores, side effects as well as patient’s overall satisfaction between the PCA oxycodone and PCA morphine group. Oxycodone was comparable to morphine as PCA in terms of total opioid consumption, pain scores and satisfaction level for patients undergoing total abdominal hysterectomy and therefore may be an alternative to morphine in postoperative pain management as PCA

Objective To investigate epidemiological characteristics of measles cases and the influencing factors of transmission of measles among floating children in Shenzhen. Methods Descriptive study was conducted in data which were collected from the report system of statutory infectious diseases from 2016 to 2018 in Shenzhen. Case-control study was conducted between 89 cases and relative controls. Results A total of 108 measles cases in floating children were reported from 2016 to 2018, and the incidence trend showed a year-on-year decline( 2trend=68.35, P<0.001). Analysis showed that nosocomial exposure in 7 to 21 days ago(OR=7.80, 95% CI:3.51-17.35, P<0.001), having been to the crowded places(OR=3.37, 95% CI:1.52-7.47, P=0.002), having contact history of fever-rash patients(OR=4.57, 95% CI:1.41-14.84, P=0.007) were influencing factors of transmission of measles among floating children, and immunization at the prescribed time(OR=0.12, 95% CI:0.04-0.32, P<0.001) was a protective factor for measles. Conclusions Vaccination must be strengthened for floating children. Medical institutions should avoid becoming a key place for measles transmission, and need to strengthen health education.

Ovitrap surveillance was conducted to determine the infestation patterns of dengue
vectors in fourteen study sites across eight provinces located in the Sunda Islands, Indonesia.
High ovitrap indices up to 70% and 90% were obtained from indoor and outdoor areas,
respectively. Mean numbers of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus larvae ranged from 0.13 to
14.50 and 0.10 to 18.60, respectively. Mixed infestation (<10%) and interchange of breeding
habitat preferences of Ae. albopictus and Ae. aegypti were also observed in the present study.

There were 4 Acinetobacter lwoffii obtained from soil samples. The antimicrobial susceptibility of the strains to 16 antimicrobial agents was investigated using K-B method. Three isolates showed the multi-drug resistance. The presence of resistance genes and integrons was determined using PCR. The aadA1, aac(3')-IIc, aph(3')-VII, aac(6')-Ib, sul2, cat2, floR, and tet(K) genes were detected, respectively. Three class 1 integrons were obtained. The arr-3-aacA4 and blaPSE-1 gene cassette, which cause resistance to aminoglycoside and beta-lactamase antibiotics. Our results reported the detection of multi-drug resistant and carried resistant genes Acinetobacter lwoffii from soil. The findings suggested that we should pay close attention to the prevalence of multi-drug resistant bacterial species of environment.
