8.Influence of thymus transplantation on T cell subsets of peripheral blood in patients with allergic rhinitis
Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 1998;19(3):177-179
Cultured human embryonal thymus graft was performed on 80 patients with allergic rhinitis to observe the immune function of the patients and the treatment efficiency. The thymus from the fetus of intermediate abortion was cultured for 7 to 10 days. The T cell subsets and serum antigen special IgE(sas IgE) level of the patients were determined before and after the thymus transplantation. The gross treatment efficiency is up to 92.4% among the trial patients after graft for 3 years and CD8 positive cells were increased with a significantly statistical difference (P<0.01), and sas IgE level was much lower than before thymus transplantation (P<0.01). It was concluded that the thymus transplantation might regulate the immune function of the patients with allergic rhinitis, including increases in the number and the function of Ts cells, and a decrease of IgE level.
9.Clinical analysis for systemic complications of patients in the dental emergency room
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2015;(2):344-348
Objective:To analyze the clinical features of oral emergency patients in general health, and to guide the oral emergency patients in the treatment, and prevention of accidents. Methods:The retro-spective study was performed on the day visits to the emergency department in Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from February to November 2013.The basic information of the newly diag-nosed adult, their overall health status, American society of anesthesiologists(ASA) classification and oral diagnosis information were analyzed and summarized. Results:The cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases(6.4%), hypertension(13.4%), endocrine system diseases(4.2%)were most common in the patients. With the increase of age, the associated systemic diseases had increased in number and in ASA classification.Periapical disease ( 24.6%) , dental pulp disease ( 24.4%) , and periodontal disease (18.0%) accounted for about 2/3.Conclusion:The general health status of patients with oral emergen-cy worsened with the increase of age.Oral surgeons should make risk assessment before treatment.ASA classification system can help doctors predict the patient risk, take corresponding measures in advance, and help to reduce the occurrence of accidents.
10.The application of mitomycin-C in refractory esophageal strictures
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2015;(11):1209-1212
Gastrointestinal benign stricture is one of common diseases in clinics , endoscopic dilation is its preferred treatment . However , for the dilation ineffective refractory strictures , it represents a difficult management problem given the limited therapeutic in-terventions available .Mitomycin-C is an antibiotic which has the dual role of anti-tumor and anti-proliferation.As an anti-proliferative drug, it was first applied in the field of ophthalmology .Local auxiliary application of MMC can be a feasible and safe measurement to improve the efficacy of refractory esophageal strictures .The aim of this study is to perform a systematic review which employs mitomycin C in the treatment of refractory esophageal strictures caused by corrosion , endoscopic submucosal dissection , esophageal atresia repara-tion and radiotherapy .
