Clinical Medicine of China 2012;28(2):113-115
Objective To explore the effects of Seretide(50/250 μg)in the treatment of patients with stable moderate COPD.Methods Sixty-four patients in the stable period of moderate COPD were randomized into 2 groups, the test group and control group. The control group received routine treatment. The test group received the Seretide(50/250 μg)inhalation in addition to the routine treatment.During the 2-year observation, the pulmonary functions before and 12 and 24 months after treatment were recorded. The clinical symptoms, physical signs, the frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD and hospitaliztion duration were also graded. Results The difference of the parameters before and after the treatment was significant in the treatment group(P <0.01)but not in control group(P >0.05).The scores of symptoms and signs([2.1 ±0.4]vs.[4.4 ± 0.3],t =2.365),the frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD(29% vs.47%,x2 =3.547)and hospitalization period ([5.0 ± 1.2]d vs.[10.0 ± 1.6]d,t =2.149)in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with control group after 24 months' treatment(all P < 0.01).Conclusion Seretide(50/250 μg)is able to improve the lung function of the patients with stable moderate COPD and reduce the frequency of acute exacerbation, showing certain value in clinical practice.
2.Evolution of stagnation syndrome in Shanghanlun
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(10):-
Shanghanlun contains the theory of stagnation, though which is concealed among the treating system. This theory is great important to clinical practice. When we have a whole understanding to the theory of stagnation,it is easy to analyze the obstruction-removing therapy.Though this principle hasn't clearly definition,it is connected closely with other regular treating methods.Based on it,the dissertation analyzes all kinds of obstruction-removing therapy in Shanghanlun. That will be very helpful for readers to understand this theory and its significance in clinical practice.

Objective Non-small-cell lung cancer with ipsilateral mediastinal lymph node metastasis (N2) belongs to heterogeneous subgroup. We analyzed the prognosis of patients with resected N2 NSCLC to determine the clinical significance. Methods The present study comprised 146 consecutive patients whom underwent surgical resection of N2 NSCLC between January 1997 and January 2000. Histological type, location, T primary tumor status, operation mode, clinical N2 (cN2) factor, N2 level(single or multiple), number of positive nodes(N2-num), and the cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy were estimated from the date of operation using the Kaplan-Meier and Log Rank analysis. The Cox regression model evaluated the influence of factors on the survival. Results The 3-and 5-year survival rate of these N2 NSCLC patients were 19.86% and 14.56%, respectively. The patients with tumor in the right lower lobe showed a significantly longer survival than left lobes. The histological type, tumor location, cN2 factor, N2 level and N2-number were associated with survival. A multivariate analysis using Cox regression identified 4 factors of prognosis: tumor site, T status, N2 level and clinical N2 status. Conclusion This article has identified N2 NSCLC subgroups and found that patients with mN2, N2L1 and single N2 have better prognosis.

Objective To explore the characteristics of prospective memory ( PM ) deficit in acute stroke patients with cognitive impairment.MethodsSixty patients suffering from acute stroke who met the inclusion criteria in screening with the neurobehavioral cognitive status examination (NCSE) were enrolled into the experimental group. Sixty healthy participants who matched the experimental group in gender distribution and average age and education level were assigned as a control group. All the participants completed several neuropsychological evaluations, including the Chinese version of the Cambridge prospective memory test ( C-CAMPROMT), the Chinese version of the Rivermead behavior memory test (C-RBMT), a digit-span test (DS), the Chinese version of Stroop's word-color test (C-SWCT) and a color trail test (CTT).ResultsTime-based PM (TBPM) scores in the control group were significantly higher than in the experimental group. At the intention initiation stage TBPM scores in the control group were also significantly better than in the experimental group. The TBPM performance of the experimental group was significantly worse than that of the controls when PM performance was compared with other cognitive functions controlled for.ConclusionsThe acute stroke patients with cognitive impairment showed greater TBPM performance deficits than the controls. This may have resulted from impairment at the intention initiation stage. TBPM deficits may exist independently. If so, they could serve as an assessment of cognitive impairment after stroke.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(22):-
The screw holes of anatomic plate are oval, and longitudinal axis of the screw hole is parallel to the axis of the plate. The plate surrounding the screw hole is smooth, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the long bone. Under outside force or inside force, the top of screw can move on the smooth surface surrounding the screw hole; the movement is a reversible one. Domestic plate can fix bone fracture stably, and the outside force and inside force can result in micromovement of the fracture ends, stimulating the fracture ends and bone callus formation. Repetitive force is beneficial to bone callus response, protect fragile new vessels and bone trabecula from damage, and promote fracture healing.

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) is a flavonoid compound isolated from licorice. It possesses excellent antioxidant and anti-diabetic activities. This study aims to investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the alleviatory effect of ISL on energy metabolism imbalance caused by type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). 8-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were used in

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) is an active chalcone compound isolated from licorice. It possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activities. In our previous study, we uncovered a great potential of ISL in treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Therefore, this study aims to reveal the mechanism underlying the alleviatory effects of ISL on T2DM-induced glycolipid metabolism disorder. High-fat-high-sugar diet (HFD) combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) were used to establish T2DM mice model. All animal experiments were carried out with approval of the Committee of Ethics at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. HepG2 cells were used in

Objective To study the effects of 4 1BBL on antitumor immunity induced in vivo by murine 4 1BBL gene transfected hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Hepa1 6. Methods Eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3 1(+) m4 1BBL was transfered into murine hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Hepa1 6 via lipofectamine method. The transfected cells were selected in RPMI1640 containing G418(400~800 ?g/ml) and termed as Hepa1 6 m4 1BBL.The TCV m4 1BBL was obtained by treating with mitomycin (MMC). Three models (immunological model, early model, and later model) were established for the study of anticancer effects of TCV m4 1BBL. Results The syngeneic mice were completely protected and could survive free from tumor for a long period by inoculation with TCV 4 1BBL. In early models, TCV 4 1BBL showed strong immunotherapy effects( P 0 05). Conclusion The antitumor effect against syngeneic murine hepatocellular carcinoma cell line in vivo is significantly enhanced by the treatment with TCV 4-1BBL.

Objective To research the effects of somatic sense interactive game Kinect on balance and walking function in stroke patients. Methods 40 patients with stroke were divided into control group (n=20) and experimental group (n=20), who accepted conventional rehabilitation and additional somatic sense interactive game Kinect. They were evaluated with gait analysis, Berg Balance Scale, Holden Walking Function Rating Scale and Barthel Index before and after treatment. Results Both groups improved in all the indices after 4 weeks of treatment (P<0.001), and improved more in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The somatic sense interactive game Kinect could further improve the balance and walking function of stroke patients.
