[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of kidney-tonifying herbal medicine for chronic aplastic anemia (CAA) and its effect in regulating immune function. [Methods] Twenty-nine cases of CAA were randomized into 2 groups: group A (n = 15) was treated with routine western medicine plus Huosui Tablets and kidney-tonifying decoction for oral use, and Huosui Ointment for external application; group B (n = 14) was treated with routine western medicine only. Three months constituted one treatment course and the two groups were treated for over 2 courses. After treatment, the therapeutic effect was assessed and the changes of peripheral blood counting and immune function indexes were compared with those before treatment. [Results] After treatment, the total effective rate was 80.0% in group A and 42.9% in group B, the difference being significant (P 0.05) . [Conclusion] Kidney-tonifying herbal medicine is effective for the treatment of CAA and its therapeutic effect may be related to the regulation of immune function.
4.Roles of placental cellular apoptosis and bcl-2 expression in fetal growth restriction with unclear etiologies
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2008;43(7):510-513
Objective To investigate the roles of placental cellular apoptosis and bcl-2 gene expression in fetal growth restriction (FGR) with unclear etiologies. Methods The placental tissues of 15 FGR and 15 parallel normal pregnancies were included in the study. Apoptosis were evaluated by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferasc-mediated deoxyuridine tripbosphate nick end labeling (TUNEL) assay, transmission electron microscopy and flow cytometry assay (FCM). Expression of bcl-2 was determined by RT-PCR. Results In cells from FGR placentas, but not in control normal cells, typical features of apoptosis were observed, including intemucleosomal DNA degradation, and both nuclear (nuclear condensation and fragmentation) and extranuclear (cell blebbing) morphological alterations. The placental cellular apoptosis were also confirmed at a rate of 13.68% by TUNEL assay and 10. 58% by FCM in FGR group, compared to 4. 05% and 3.88% in the normal tissues. Meanwhile, bcl-2 expression level was lower in FGR group (0. 19±0. 13) than in the normal group (0. 55±0. 17). Conclusion Apoptosis may play an important role in the pathogenesis of FGR and may be related with to lowered expression of bcl-2.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(22):3407-3411
Objective To explore the safety of different doses of bupivacaine combined with epidural anes-thesia for delivery women undergoing cesarean operation. Methods A total of 120 cases of parturient women with cesarean section surgery were randomly divided into A,B,C three groups (40 cases in each group).A group was subarachnoidly given 0.5% levobupivacaine 1.5mL(7.5mg),B group was given 0.5% levobupivacaine 2.0mL (10.0mg),C group was given 0.5% levobupivacaine 2.5mL(12.5mg).The anesthesia effect in three groups was recorded. Results 5 min after anesthesia, the central venous pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation in A group were (79.47 ±10.65)mmHg,(83.94 ±8.21)times/min,(98.16 ±1.17)%,which in B group were (76.38 ± 10.15)mmHg,(84.03 ±8.19)times/min,(98.48 ±1.06)%,which in C group were (66.28 ±18.49)mmHg, (76.38 ±5.68)times/min,(95.03 ±0.45)%.10 min after anesthesia, the central venous pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation in A group were (83.54 ±10.03)mmHg,(84.03 ±8.34)times/min,(98.25 ±1.19)%,which in B group were (82.46 ±10.11 )mmHg,(83.95 ±8.24)times/min,(98.04 ±1.15 )%,which in C group were (69.06 ±17.03)mmHg,(74.19 ±5.48)times/min,(94.85 ±0.41 )%,the changes of heart function index in A group and B group had statistically significant differences compared with those in C group(F =5.165,6.487,7.125, 6.145,5.378,6.145,all P <0.05 ).In A group, excellent anesthesia in 9 cases, good in 17 cases, and poor in 14 cases;those in B group were 24 cases,13 cases,3 cases;those in C group were 28 cases,11 cases and 1 case. The anesthesia effect of B group and C group was significantly higher than A group(χ2 =4.887,P <0.05).In A group, hypotension occurred in 1 case, bradycardia in 2 cases,2 cases had nausea and vomiting, shortness of breath 0 case.In B group, hypotension occurred in 2 cases,2 cases of bradycardia, nausea and vomiting 3 cases, difficulty in breathing in 1 case.In C group,15 cases of hypotension, bradycardia in 11 cases,14 cases had nausea and vomiting, dyspnea in 7 cases. The incidence rate of adverse reactions of C group was higher than A group and B group(χ2 =4.168,5.122, 4.784,5.122,all P <0.05).Conclusion The anesthesia effects of levobupivacaine combined spinal and epidural anesthesia in cesarean section surgery is related with dosage, the greater the dosage, the anesthesia effect is stronger, but the circulation disturbance, the greater the use the share such as 10mg dose of levobupivacaine is more suitable, worthy of popularization and application in clinic.
8.Hepatocyte proliferation in the progression of nonalcoholic fatty liver in rats
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(09):-
Objective To explore the changes of hepatocyte proliferation in rats during the progression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Methods Rat models of NAFLD were established by giving a fat-rich diet. The rats fed with normal diet were taken as normal control at the same stage during the study. These rats were sacrificed at week 4, 8, and 12 respectively and collected the liver tissues. The cell cycle and the changes of the S-phase cell fraction (SPF), proliferation index (PI) was measured by flow cytometry. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results There was no significant difference between NAFLD group and the control group at week 4, 8. But as compared with the control group, SPF and PI of 12-week group were significantly increased and PCNA labeling index were also higher. Conclusion Hepatic hyperplasia occurred after the nonalcoholic steatohepatitis was established in the rat models of NAFLD. Hepatic hyperplasia probably was the reaction of inflammation and necrosis, but whether it was the early incident of hepatocarcinoma should be paid attention.
