2.Progress of the intestinal microflora in human immune and allergic diseases in children
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;(1):64-67
Microorganisms can affect the development of body immune system.Intestinal flora regulate immune function by promoting the intestinal immune system development, inducing T cell differentiation to avoid or reduce the incidence of immune-related diseases.Allergic diseases are related with the body's immune system hypoplasia and imperfect immune regulation mechanism. The immune system can be affected by intestinal flora, and the distribution of flora in the body between children with allergies and healthy children are significantly different, indicating that the occurrence of allergic diseases are associated with intestinal microflora.Studies have reported probiotic are helpful to the prevention and treatment of allergic disease, providing a new way for the prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.
3.Discussion on TCM strategies and skills of the treatment of refractory jaundice
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2011;33(4):328-330
Based on clinical features of refractory diseases and clinical practice experience for many years, the author expounded the therapeutic strategies from establishing individualized system of differentiation treatment, treatment strategies of refractory diseases, and the key for medication, and emphasized individual concerned therapy, separating primary and secondary treatment and grasping the physiological state to treat pathological changes. Thus complicated and changeable diseases can be treated clinically.

5.Update in calorie restriction therapy in metabolic disease
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2015;(7):568-570
Calorie restriction has been in use since 1900s as a therapy for obesity and type 2 diabetes. There are many modifications and progress in the forms, indications, effects, and safety of calorie restriction following a history over 100 years. However, controversies also arise such as the effect between intermittent calorie restriction vs daily calorie restriction, low fat diet vs low carbohydrate diet and low calorie diet. Therefore, more evidence-based data from high quality studies as RCT trials are needed for determining the optimal individualized calorie restriction regimen. Furthermore, calorie restriction mimetics is recently becoming an exciting research field for scientists and companies.
6.New challenge in subclinical thyroid disease:from guideline to practice
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2017;33(1):88-90
[Summary ] Accumulating evidence showed the associations between subclinical hyperthyroidism or subclinical hypothyroidism and adverse health outcomes. The related guidelines could be very helpful in making treatment decisions. However, even within the reference range, thyroid function is associated with adverse health outcomes, such as atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, osteoporosis, and dyslipidemia. Also, there is limitation to use TSH value as intervention threshold by the influence of age and other diseases. In this regard, a grading system is proposed to diagnose thyroid dysfunction, and risk stratification according to individual TSH values and comorbidities would be constructed to evaluate the utility of treatment.
7.A new triterpene from fungal fruiting bodies of Ganoderma sinense
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(01):-
Objective To study the chemical constituents from the fungal fruiting bodies of Ganoderma sinense. Methods Individual constituents, isolated and repeatedly purified on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, were identified by physicochemical constants and structurally elucidated by spectral methods. Results Four compounds were isolated and identified as: sinensoic acid(1),cerebroside D(2),poke-weed cerebroside(3),hemisceramide(4).Conclusion Compound 1 is a new compound, others are isolated from the fungus of Ganoderma for the first time.
8.Evaluation of Multislice CT Coronary Angiography
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(10):-
Objective To evaluate retrospectively ECG -gating for the coronary angiography with MSCT. Methods 15 patients were studied with a multislice spiral CT on retrospective ECG -gating,0.5s rotation, and cardial segment reconstruction algorithm. Nine phases were chosen to reconstruct images of coronary arteries. Results In the 230 coronary artery segments,213 (91%)were best visualized at 70%. And 15 (6.4%), 9 (3.8%), and 3 (1.3%) were optimal at 80%, 40% , and 5% of the cycle respectively. Conclusion The coronary arteries usually are best visualized at 70% image reconstruction window of the cardial cycle.
9.Integrin-linked kinase and diabetic nephropathy
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(01):-
Cellular functions like proliferation, differentiation, migration, morphogenesis and apoptosis are modulated by the extracellular matrix.Integrins are the prototypic heterodimeric transmembrane matrix receptors with competing affinities for individual extracellular matrix ligands. The intracellular integrin domain clusters cytoplasmic proteins into focal adhesion plaques for bidirectional(outside-in and inside-out) signaling.Integrin-linked kinase(ILK) is an intracellular serine/threonine protein kinase that interacts with the cytoplasmic domains of ?-integrins.ILK organizes the connections of the extracellular matrix via integrins to the cytoskeleton and is involved in adhesion plaque signaling, and it plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of chronic renal fibrosis.High glucose induces the upregulation of the synthesis and activity of ILK in cultivated mouse podocytes and mesangial cells. The ILK protein level is significantly increased in diabetic glomeruli.ILK activity is likely to provide the basis for an effective therapeutic method for diabetic nephropathy. This review gives an introduction of ILK structure and function, followed by a summary of our current understanding of ILK in diabetic nephropathy with a special focus on glomerular cell-matrix interaction.
10.Effect of Guishen Capsule on mastoplasia and T-lymphocyte subsets of spleen in rats
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(11):-
AIM: To investigate the effect of Guishen Capsule(Radix Angelicae Sinesis,Radix et Rhizoma Salivae Miltiorrhizae, etc) on mastoplasia and T-lymphocyte subsets of spleen in rats. METHODS: The model of mastoplasia was induced by benzoate estradiol intraperitoneal injection in SD female rats. The model rats were treated with low, middle and high dosages of Guishen Capsule, respectively. All rats were killed after 30 days, the tissue of second pair of mammary glands were observed. At the same time, the spleens were taken out for preparing single cells suspension. The ratio of CD~+_3,CD~+_4,CD~+_8,CD~+_4/CD~+_8 of splenic T-lymphocytes were determined by flow cytometry(FCM). RESULTS: Compared with normal group, the growth of weight was slow in model group, and its breast was swollen, and proliferation was obvious in mammary gland tissue, the ratio of CD~+_3,CD~+_4,CD~+_4/CD~+_8 reduced significantly in model group. Guishen Capsule could inhibit the breast swelling and mammary gland hyperplasia. It also could increase ratio CD~+_3,CD~+_4,CD~+_4/CD~+_8 of splenic T-lymphocytes remarkably. CONCLUSION: Guishen Capsule can inhibit mammary gland hyperplasia. It also has the function of immunologic enhancement and cellular immune regulation.
