1.A STUDY OF THE FORMATION AND BRANCHES OF THE ANSA CERVICALIS OF CHILDREN
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
The formation, position, and branches of ansa cervicalis of 100 children were in-vestigated. Ansa cervicalis was found in 96 cases, among them 62 have one ansa, 33have two ansae and one has three ansae. Ansa cervicalis is classified into four types according to the different sources of thenervus descendens cervicalis of which it is composed. The majority of them are of thesecond type (74 cases); the third type are listed next in order (18 cases), the first andfourth types are rarely seen. In our series, in addition to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical nerves, the 1st and 5thnerves also enter the formation of the ansa. With regard to the position of the ansae, it was found that 60.4% of them aresituated behind the internal carotid vein and 54.2% of them descend below the levelof the cricoid cartilage. The ansae, as related to the carotid sheath, are located within the sheath in 88cases (91.7%), and outside of the sheath in 8 cases (8.3%). According to our investigation, with the exception of the nerve of m. thyreohyoideuswhich arise from the hypoglossal nerves, the infrahyoid muscles (including m. omohyoi-deus, sternothyroideus, and sternohyoideus) are supplied by the descending branches ofthe hypoglossal nerve in 184 cases (30.7%) and by ansa cervicalis in 277 cases (46.2%).
2.Research Advances in Acupuncture-moxibustion Treatment for Cervical Spondylosis
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(9):1136-1138
Cervical spondylosis is a clinical common disease. With people’s changes in living and working styles, the incidence of the disease increases gradually and there is a development trend in younger population. There are various ways to treat cervical spondylosis. This article summarizes and analyzes recent 10 years’ literature about acupuncture-moxibustion treatment for cervical spondylosis.
3.The protective effect of ulinastatin on the intestinal mucosal barrier in rats after intestinal ischemia-reperfusion
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2004;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the protective effect of ulinastatin on the intestinal mucosal barrier in rats with ischemia-reperfusion.Methods Totally 24 SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups after clamping superiormesenteric artery for 1 h and reperfusion for 1 h: blank control group, control group and treatment group.Rats in the treatment group were injected with ulinastatin(50 000 U/kg) through vena dorsalis penis after ischemia-reperfusion model was induced. The control group underwent laparotomy with only the manipulation of the intestine and the same dose of saline was used through the same way.Specimens were obtained after ischemia-reperfusion model was induced.Dynamic turbidimetry was used to evaluate the effect of ulinastatin on the intestinal endotoxin translocation in rats.Apoptosis of mucosal cells was detected by TUNEL method, and the expressions of Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA were determined by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.Results The serum endotoxin level and apoptotic index of mucosal cells were evidently lower in blank control group than in control group(P

Objective To study the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) on the viability of skin flap treated with radiotherapy at different time after operation and clarify its enhancing effect on angiogenesis. Methods Fifty Wistar rat were randomly divided into 3,5,7,9 d groups and control group.A 3 cm?4 cm full thickness dorsal flap with the pedicle remaining attached at the posterior end in rats and were treated with 60Co radiotherapy at the 2nd,4th,and 6th day postoperatively. The total quantity was 12 Gy.In the experiment groups every rat was given VEGF 120 ng on the 3rd,5th,7th and 9th day.The rats in control group were given the same quality normal saline and radiotherapy.Pathological observation, fluorescence staining and sesuccinic dehyrogenase(SDH) assay were used to measure the blood vessel density, blood vessel diameter, microcirculation and cell vitality of skin flap. Results In 5 d and 7 d VEGF group, the number of average blood vessels and cells of the skin falp was increased compared with control group(P

OBJECTIVE To analyze and review the antibiotics utilization for the perioperative inpatients in our orthopedics department, and to evaluate the rationality of the utilization.METHODS Totally 267 cases of inpatients receiving operations from Sep to Nov,2008 were selected in our orthopedics department, then the methods of drug use review and drug frequency analysis were applied to analyze and review the effects of antibiotics utilization with retrospective statistics.RESULTS All of the 267 inpatients have taken antibiotics,of which the cephalosporins were the most frequently used. The antibiotics commonly used were cefminox, cefmetazole, and cefuroxime. The antibiotics of the highest daily defined dose(DDD) costs and total costs were cefamandole, flomoxef, etc. The average days of antibiotics utilization for clean operations,clean-contaminated operations, and contaminated operations were 7 days,8 days, and 9 days, respectively and 86% of the patients were antibiotic combination usage.CONCLUSIONS There is inappropriateness in the antibiotics utilization during perioperations of orthopedics.Guidelines of drug use must be followed to improve the drug usage.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2001;0(07):-
Objective To explore the diagnosis, treatment and outcome of testicular torsion in children. Methods The clinical data (including the onset, treatment and prognosis) of 19 children of acute testicular torsion were reviewed. The age ranged from 5 days to 13 years. Results There were 15 cases of left side testicular torsion and 4 cases of right side. All of the 19 cases underwent operation.Seventeen cases were with intravaginal torsion,of these 14 testicles were removed for necrosis and only 3 testicles were salvaged by operative detorsion. Two cases were of extravaginal torsion with testicular necrosis and therefore were removed. Conclusions Testicular torsion is a common emergency of scrotum in children.Immediately operation after admission to hospital is the key treatment for salvage of the testicle.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(12):-
Objective To assess the mutagenicity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) extracted from the atmospheric particulates collected from different aerodynamic sizes, seasonal variation and the sampled sites, and to detect the effect of these factors on the mutagenic activity of PAHs.Methods PAHs were extracted from the atmospheric particulates(PM10 and PM2.5) collected from two different sites, business area and industrial area(summer and winter respectively). The mutagenicity of these PAHs samples was evaluated by the Salmonella mutagenicity assay(Ames assay),using Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100 with and without metabolic activation(S9).Each sample was assayed in three doses(125,250 and 500?g per plate). Results All samples induced the number of revertants to be higher measured with TA98 with and without S9 mix.The level of specific mutagenic activity measured with strain TA98 was higher than TA100.Metabolic activation with the S9 fraction increased the mutagenicity of the industrial area samples studied for the strain TA98.All groups showed a good dose-response relationship of mutagenicity(P

A case of vagus nerve invasion with disseminated herpes zoster was reported. Clinical manifestation of disseminated herpes zoster and vagus nerve injury. relevant imaging examination and laboratory examination can help to establish a preliminary diagnosis. Anti-virus, anti-infection and symptomatic treatment had been performed and showed good clinical efficacy.
