Virologica Sinica 2008;23(6):394-398
The molecular modifications of Herpes Simplex Virus Type Ⅰ (HSV-1) proteins represented by acetylation and phosphorylation are essential to its biological functions. The cellular chromatin-remodeling/assembly is involved in HSV-1 associated gene transcriptional regulation in human cells harboring HSV-1 lytic or latent infections.Further investigation on these biological events would provide a better understanding of the mechanisms of HSV- 1 viral gene transcriptional regulation.

Objective:To observe the role of Zhike Qingfei Oral Liquid in treatment of the airway inflammation of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases(COPD).Methods:50 cases with COPD at stable stage were divided into a treatment group and a control group,25 cases in each.Patients in both groups were treated with conventional therapy, including oxygen therapy, cardiactonic diuresis and relieving cough and asthma, etc.Zhike Qingfei Oral Liquid was added to the patients,of the treatment group,20ml each time,3 times each day,for 6 weeks.Clinical scores, pulmonary function, cell count and classification,interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis Factor-?(TNF-?)in the sputum before and after treatment were investigated. Results:In the treatment group.the clinical score,FEV_1 and FEV_1/FVC(%)improved significantly(P

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the effects of curcumin on the proliferation, cell cycle distribution, and apoptosis of the acute myeloid leukemic cell line HL 60 and the hepatocarcinoma cell line QGY. Methods MTT method was used to detect the biological activities of curcumin at different concentrations and at different time. The cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry, and changes of the cellular ultrastructure were observed by electronic microscopy. Results Curcumin could inhabit the growth of HL 60 and QGY in dose and time dependent manners. IC50 values of curcumin at 72 h to HL 60 and QGY were 24.8 ?mol/L and 49.5 ?mol/L, respectively. The cell growth of HL 60 was arrested at S and G 2/M stages (apoptosis peak: 8.65%), and that of QGY was arrested at S stage (apoptosis peak: 10.84%). Curcumin could lead to fat degeneration in HL 60 cells and cell degeneration and necrosis of QGY cells, resulting in apoptosis of QGY cells. Conclusion Curcumin has inhibitory effect on the growth of HL 60 cells through its anti proliferation and on QGY cells through the induction of apoptosis of QGY cells.

Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(01):-
Objective To detect the plasma plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1)and urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA)levels in PCOS and control of different BMI.Methods This experiment is divided into PCOS group and control group,PCOS group also divided into obesity and without obesity. To assay plasma PAI-1 and serum uPA of PCOS with or without obesity by enzyme-linked immunosurbent assay(ELISA),and to meassure body mass index(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR),blood glucose, fasting insulin and IRT.To evaluate insulin resistance with Homa Model and to measure insulin area under curve(AUC).Results LH/FSH,T,blood glucose,HOMA-IR,AUC and the plasma level of PAI-1 were significantly increased in PCOS as compared with normal control, and HOMA-IR,AUC and the plasma level of PAI-1 were also increased in obesity as compared with non-obesity of PCOS(P

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(22):-
Objective To observe the changes of left ventricular diastole function in the old patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(PAF)and probe the value of multiindexes to evaluate the left ventricular diastole function. Methods Us the ultrasonic color doppler to determinate the different indexes of left ventricular diastole function in the thirty-four older patients with PAF after converting who came to my hospital from September 2004 to February 2006,and the healthy elder were the controls. Results The index of isovolumic relaxation time(IVRT),flowing velocity E wave(EV),flowing velocity A wave(AV)and the ratio of EV and AV(EV/AV)of the group with PAF after converting were higher significantly in PAF group after converting(99?11 ms,75?13 ms),(0.65?0.14 m/s,0.84?0.15 m/s),(0.77?0.12 m/s,0.55?0.13 m/s)and(0.84?0.13〈1,1.52?0.16〉1)than those in control group.(P〈0.01).Conclusion A significant failure of left ventricular diastole function exists in the old patients with PAF and the multiindexes to evaluate the left ventricular diastole function are more objective.

China Oncology 2000;0(06):-
CLN3 gene product is an antiapoptotic membrane protein, the expressions of CLN3 in normal tissues and cells are at very low level. Juvenile-Batten disease is a neurodegenerative disease caused by accelerated apoptosis of photoreceptors and neurons resulting from deletion of 1.02 kb in the CLN3 gene. A number of observations showed that CLN3 mRNA and protein are overexpressed in a variety of human cancer cell lines. Blocking of CLN3 expression using an adenovirus-expressing antisense CLN3 inhibited growth and viability of cancer cells. CLN3 may regulate apoptosis through modulating ceramide synthesis or the expression of some down stream genes. More importantly, these results suggested that CLN3 is a novel molecular target for the etiology, progression and theraputics of cancer.

Objective To establish the quality standard of Heibu ointment. Method The contents of Galla Halepensis were determined by TLC, and Gallic Acid was determined by HPLC. Results In TLC, the spots were very clear and specific to identify Heibu ointment. The linear range of Gallic Acid was 0.1~1.1 ?g. The quality standard of Heibu ointment was established. Conclusion The method can be used for quality control of Heibu ointment.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(07):-
Objective:To investigate the effect and mechanism of total flavonoids of Hedysarum polybotry on induction of differentiation in human leukemia HL-60 cells. Method After the treatment of HL-60 cells with total flavonoids of Hedysarum polybotry, the cell differentiation was detected with NBT reduction method. Cell cycle, CD11b and C-fos were analysed by the flow cytometry. Result The positive rate of NBT reduction and the expression of CD11b were significantly increased. Similar, the expression of C-fos gene was upregulated. The growth of HL-60 cells was arrested at G0/G1 and G2/M phase. Conclusion Total flavonoids of Hedysarum polybotry could induce differentiation of HL-60 cells. Its molecular mechanism might be related to the modulation of gene expressions associated with the proliferation and differentiation, which leads to the inhibition of DNA synthesis.
