3.Inhibition of N-methyl-D-aspartate-activated current by bis(7)-tacrine in HEK-293 cells expressing NR1/NR2A or NR1/NR2B receptors.
Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2012;32(6):793-7
In normal rat forebrain, the NR1/NR2A and NR1/NR2B dimmers are the main constitutional forms of NMDA receptors. The present study was carried out to determine the functional properties of the heteromeric NMDA receptor subunits and their inhibition by bis(7)-tacrine (B7T). Rat NR1, NR2A and NR2B cDNAs were transfected into human embryonic kidney 293 cells (HEK-293). The inhibition of NMDA-activated currents by B7T was detected in HEK-293 cell expressing NR1/NR2A or NR1/NR2B receptors by using whole-cell patch-clamp techniques. The results showed that in HEK-293 cells expressing NR1/NR2A receptor, 1 μmol/L B7T inhibited 30 μmol/L NMDA- and 1000 μmol/L NMDA-activated steady-state currents by 46% and 40%, respectively (P>0.05; n=5), suggesting that the inhibition of B7T on NR1/NR2A receptor doesn't depend on NMDA concentration, which is consistent with a non-competitive mechanism of inhibition. But for the NR1/NR2B receptor, 1 μmol/L B7T inhibited 30 μmol/L NMDA- and 1000 μmol/L NMDA-activated steady-state currents by 61% and 13%, respectively (P<0.05; n=6), showing that B7T appears to be competitive with NMDA. In addition, simultaneous application of 1 μmol/L B7T and 1000 μmol/L NMDA produced a moderate inhibition of peak NMDA-activated current, followed by a gradual decline of the current to a steady state. However, the gradual onset of inhibition produced by B7T applied simultaneously with NMDA was eliminated when B7T was given 5 s before NMDA. These results suggested that B7T inhibition of NMDA current mediated by NR1/NR2B receptor was slow onset, and it did not depend on the presence of the agonist. With holding potentials ranging from -50 to +50 mV, the B7T inhibition rate of NMDA currents didn't change significantly, and neither did the reversal potential. We are led to conclude that the NR1/NR2B recombinant receptor can serve as a very useful model for studying the molecular mechanism of NMDA receptor inhibition by B7T.
4.The Development of Braille Writing Board with Raised Braille Characters
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 1998;4(2):80-81
In this paper the development of a new Braille writing board on which raised Braille characters are written is introduced. Compared with traditional Braille writing board on which hollow Braille characters are written, the advantage of new one is convenient for studying, writing and proofreading because the order of Braille in writing is the same as the order of Braille in remembering.

China Pharmacist 2014;(11):1817-1820
Objective:To study the preparation of total leaves saponins of panax notoginseng liposomal gels and evaluate the quali-ty. Methods:The total leaves saponins of panax notoginseng liposomes were prepared by the film-dispersion method, and the formula was optimized by the orthogonal experimental design. A high-speed centrifugation method was applied to determine the encapsulation efficiency used as the evaluation index for the optimization of the preparation process. Then the gels were prepared and an HPLC meth-od was used to determine the content of ginsenoside Rb3 . The stability was preliminarily studied as well. Results:The preparation was semi-solid, and viscous gels with low skin irritation and good stability. The quality was accordance with the relevant provisions in Chi-nese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition). Conclusion: The gels are with the properties of simple preparation process, reliable detection methods and stable and controllable quality.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(12):-
Aim To investigate the protection effect of icariin on isoproterenol induced neonatal rat cardiomyocytes injury. Methods Isolation of cardiomyocytes from Sprague-Dawley rats aging 1~3 d were performed.Cardiomyocytes were grown in DMEM culture medium containing 15% fetal bovine serum. The cell density was adjusted to 1?105~5?105 cells?L-1,and the suspension was pipetted into each well of culture plates.Cells were incubated at 37 ℃ in 5% CO_2 atmosphere for 72 h.Cultured rat cardiomyocytes were divided into different groups:control,0.5 mmol?L-1 isoproterenol(model),and therapeutic groups with 0.1,1 and 10 ?mol?L-1 icariin.Cell viability was analyzed using MTT assay. The potential of mitochondrial membrane was determined by laser scanning confocal microscope.Apoptotic cells were detected by using flow cytometric analysis. Results Compared with the control group, the cell activity was lower in model group(P

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;35(3):215-217
Abstract
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by deposition of β-amyloid (Aβ). Liver X receptors (LXRs), a member of the nuclear receptor transcription factor superfamily, are widely expressed in brain, which may be involved in the development and progression of AD. Based on the international and national publications pertaining to the association between LXRs and AD from 2010 to 2022, this review summarizes the advances on the involvement of LXRs in the regulation of cholesterol metabolism, inflammatory response and synapse formation in the pathogenesis of AD was reviewed, so as to provide insights into the prevention and treatment of AD.

Journal of Jilin University(Medicine Edition) 2001;27(1):68-70
Objective:To investigate the changes in plasma ET-1 and ANF in IDDM and its microvascular complication. Methods:The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF were measured by radioimmunoassy in 31 patients with IDDM and 25 normal controls. Results:The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF significantly increased in IDDM compared with the normal controls (P<0.01);and the levels were also markedly higher in diabetics with microangiopathy complications than in those withou the complications (P<0.01).The more kinds of microangiopathey complications, the higher level of the plasma ET-1 and ANF,which suggests that the elevation of plasma ET-1 and ANF may be concerned with the microangiopathy and ET-1 may reflect the degree of vascular endothelial cell damage. There were no significant correlation between plasma ET-1 or ANF and blood glucose, fructosamine and C-peptide,but the plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF both correlated with the duration of diabetes mellitus. And the plasma level of ET-1 positively correlated with ANF1 (P<0.01).Conclusion:The results of study suggest that ET-1 and ANF are both associated with the development, progress and severity of microvascular complications.

Efficacy of chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer is unsatisfactory. Molecular targeted therapies have emerged as a novel approach to the treatment of advanced gastric cancer in recent years. These therapeutic strategies include targeting EGFR signal transduction pathway,anti-angiogenesis therapy,multi-target molecular targeted drugs. Targeted drugs such as trastuzumab, cetuximab, bevacizumab, apatinib, sorafenib sunitinib, lapatinib and everolimus which are targeting HER2,EGFR,VEGF and mTOR pathway, are applied in the comprehensive treatment of advanced gastric cancer, and their therapeutic effects are encouraging.
