1.A study on the relationship between emotion regulation difficulties, job crafting and work engagement among new nurses

Objective:To understand the current level of work engagement of new nurses and analyze the relationship between the variables of emotion regulation difficulties, job crafting, and work engagement, to provide a theoretical basis for nursing managers to develop interventions to enhance the level of work engagement of new nurses.Methods:The convenience sampling method was applied to select a total of 637 new nurses from 11 tertiary levels A hospitals in Beijing City, Zhejiang Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Anhui Province, and Hubei Province from April to June 2022 as the respondents, and the general information questionnaire, Emotion Regulation Difficulties Scale, Job Crafting Scale and Work Engagement Scale were used to conduct a cross-sectional survey. The mediation effect was analyzed by AMOS 26.0 structural equation model.Results:Finally, 626 new nurses were included, and scored (31.08 ± 10.94) points on the Work Engagement Scale, with a mean entry score of (3.45 ± 1.22) points. Work engagement was significantly negatively associated with difficulties in emotion regulation ( r=-0.291, P<0.01) and positively associated with job crafting ( r=0.724, P<0.01). Analysis of mediating effects revealed that job crafting partially mediated the relationship between difficulties in emotion regulation and work engagement ( β=-0.424, P<0.001). Conclusions:New nurses' work engagement was at an intermediate level, and job crafting partially mediated the relationship between emotion regulation difficulties and work engagement. Nursing managers should strengthen training on emotion regulation strategies for new nurses and construct intervention strategies based on job crafting, to improve new nurses′ work engagement.
2.Analysis of incidence of hypothermia and its influencing factors in patients with acute trauma

Objective?To explore the incidence of hypothermia and its influencing factors in patients with acute trauma. Methods?From March 2014 to March 2017, 70 patients with acute trauma from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected as the search object by convenient sampling method. The incidence of hypothermia was recorded and the risk factors for hypothermia in acute trauma patients were analyzed by the Cox risk model. Results?Hypothermia occurred in 32 patients with acute trauma, with an incidence of 45.71%. The Revised Trauma Score (RTS), the use of an ambulance thermal apparatus, preventive warmth retention during surgery and liquid heating were the influencing factors of hypothermia in patients with acute trauma (P<0.05). Conclusions?Targeted preventive nursing intervention can help reduce the incidence of hypothermia and improve the prognosis of patients with acute trauma.
3.Nursing students' experience of participation in group resuscitation workshop:a qualitative study

ObjectiveTo explore the nursing students' experience of participation in group resuscitation workshop. MethodsFrom July to September of 2018,12 nursing interns in the Emergency Department of a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Zhengzhou were recruited to participate in the study by purposive sampling and semi-structured interviews were conducted. The data obtained were analyzed by Colaizzi method. ResultsNursing students' experience of participation in the team recovery workshop can be summarized into three themes:teamwork awareness, independent learning ability and confidence,and stress and response. ConclusionsThe workshop promotes nursing students' sense of teamwork and stimulates their subjective initiative and ability to learn. It is suggested that nursing clinical education workers should attach importance to the various pressures faced by students and provide support from various angles.
